IKEA ALEX Drawer unit assembly

How to assemble ALEX Drawer unit white. You can get it in 4 different color combinations one in the video in white dimension 36x70 cm. Drawer unit ALEX White van be used as separate drawer unit or instead of table legs as support for top desk panel. Drawer unit ALEX White assembly is easy but take time as there are 5 drawers. Ikea Alex drawer currently £50in the UK.

Has anyone ever attempted changing the order of the drawers to put one of the deeper ones at the top. I can't find anything online about it. If the poster or anyone else has any tips I would appreciate it. I'm thinking of giving it a try.

I think it is possible but you have to adjust drawer rails in the drawer frame and have to be wery accurate with measurements otherwise you end up with gap between drawers or you will have hard time to close them. Good luck with your experiment :)

Thats correct. Unfortunately IKEA using old stile of drawer rails in this drawer so thats how it work. Different chest of drawers from IKEA have different rails I dont know why they still using this old rubish. Ikea wake up is 2016 :)

Same thing is happening to me. But I have seen many video's showing them sliding out smoothly. Is there anything I could modify on them to get them to open easier?

The specs state that it's 70 cm tall, is that with or with out the feet? Just curious if with out the feet the sit 0.5 to 1 cm shorter?

Here is the small one BOSCH GREEN IXO 5 I have the older version. Bigger one Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 Cordless Combi Drill with 18 V Lithium-Ion Battery my one is older version I think. And Biggest one MAKITA LXT CORDLESS 18V 3AH LI-ION COMBI DRILL or similar to this one. The small bosh is my favourite super strong battery it can go all day and the price is reasonable two.

Would not recommend to get it for drilling holes. There is not enough power and speed to do that. For drilling get the bigger one.

any diy replica parts? the unit is way to expensive on ebay or amazon for absolutely no reason. if we can get schematics and parts online to match, this unit should cost no more than $30

Would you be able to put the Alex 6 drawers ON TOP of a desk?? ( very sturdy )

Yes you can do that but would be good think to attach the ALEX to the table top(screws from inside bottom panel). Or Ikea use stickers you can see them in BESTÅ units sticking part is on the both sites so it would secure ALEX from sliding or flipping over easily.
