THERE AS NEVER BEEN AND WILL NEVER BE A BAND LIKE THIS!
They are the most perfectly ensembled band EVER !!!!
UNIQUE POWERFUL MUSICALITY AGRGRESSIVE FUCKING HUGE HEADCRUSHER HEAVY METAL MOTHERFUCKERS🤘😡🤘
As a witness to multi shows across the USA best band live ever.
Rex Brown is such an underrated bassist, those fills and bass lines sound absolutely beautiful
Pantera is the most aggressive band that doesn’t sound like they’re TRYING to be aggressive. It just happens to be the way they naturaly sound. It’s natural and it fits like a glove.
Well said
Awesome description, other "heavy" or "aggressive" bands can end up sounding like an overwhelming wall of noise, but Pantera does it so ridiculously good
Cool thing about dime is he was buried with Eddie Van Halen’s bumblebee guitar! Eddie spoke at his funeral and said this about the guitar and giving it to dime in his casket. “An original deserves to have the original” he loved kiss and Eddie van halen so it was pretty cool that he got buried in a kiss casket and with the 2nd guitar Eddie had owned and played with onstage and a couple of albums too. Great job and reaction!
Van Halen was a legend
this song is the definition of controlled chaos, on every level. Such an amazing band to see live, so glad I was able to see them many times
I believe you just described most of their songs !!
Oh I believe You mean MASTERFULLY controlled.
Vinnie & Rex holding down the back end. Growing up in North Texas about an hour from the Abbott brothers and getting to see them play all the local clubs was an honor!! 🤘
About damn time. Need some more pantera
Same. Can't wait to see the resurrection of Pantera in August with Metallica at Cowboys Stadium. 🤘R.I.P. Darrell and Vinnie
@@loristone9242 ill be at metlife aug 4 them and metallica
@@GangGreen80 I know you are as excited as I am!! Had to about take out a second mortgage to get 4 tickets. 🤣 It will be worth every penny!!
You mean about Dime time. I love pantera. Always will.
I always like to say that PanterA has two singers. One of them just happens to sing though his Guitar.
Finally some metal. Finally the best metal band in the world once again! 🎉
Pantera is new gods of Rock n' Roll!!! Just FIRE!!!!
They were the gods of metal almost 30 years ago brother. I seen them 13 times growing up and they always sold out and then some.
If you want to see Dime singing, you should look up the live performance of Pantera playing Whiplsh with Phil on guitar and Jason Newsted on bass.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best intros to a metal song. Ever.
This song rules
Dudes face completely melted! Love too see it!
Dude the breakdown in this song is so gnarly lol volume gets cranked every time.
Every damn time
Fun fact about the opening riff: It was a “sound check riff” Dime came up with on the spot for (of course) the sound check. Someone told him it was a bad ass riff & he should record it, so he did.
Hail kings!
My all time favourite Pantera tune right here. Absolutely killer riff.
One of the first mic drops in any music video.
I saw them in 1987 at a "head banger" bar in Shreveport Louisiana called Circle In The Square. I wonder if that bar is still there...
We were literally a foot from the stage, right in front of the speakers. Great time and great memories! Thanks for this reaction. Happy 4th Gentleman 🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇸
We used to see them at the Basement and Dallas City Limits back in '89 through early 90's. We were just out of high school! When Cowboys From Hell hit, it was amazing to see the rise of Pantera. As a Dallas native, I can honestly say it's my opinion that it was the best time ever for the metal music scene in the DFW. I won't ever forget those days. Long Live Pantera 🤘
@@loristone9242 it was amazing to see the rise of Pantera! I'd never heard anything like them before. It was a great time to be young when music was at it's best!
This record didn’t just go platinum, it hit number 1 on the Billboard 200. Arguably the first true heavy metal record to hit number 1, and definitely the heaviest. 30 years later, and it still seems crazy to me that a record like Far Beyond Driven would reach such lofty heights on what is perhaps the most prestigious mainstream music chart. This would never happen today. I miss the 1990s…..
For me this is the best song they ever did. Heavy as a pregnant whale, and simple killer riffs-I just love the outro
Did you notice a few things in the video? At the end of the guitar solo, Dimebag just throws his guitar plug on the strings :-) And also he just headbangs on the drum cymbals in the video somewhere :-) So cool
Awesome Faith no More shirt! Great album.
Phil Anselmo ended up having back surgery and getting hooked on pain medication, if I remember correctly.
It's true, but in the opposite order of your comment. He drank and did drugs to make the back pain tolerable, because he had gigs to do and the machine that was Pantera depending on him to be able to perform night after night, and it would have taken him out of touring for a year or more to have the operation he needed. This song was released in March '94. Started off with drinking (which he was already doing a lot of, but watch the footage around this time- he starts going on stage with wild turkey instead of beer), then on to pain pills, muscle relaxers, and later, heroin. By July of 96, he was repeatedly overdosing and really going through it. He got to a better place by the time Reinventing the Steel was recorded, and everyone was doing well, but then 9/11/01 happened and that caused Pantera to take a break when their tour was cancelled. Then in-fighting happened, with Phil working on side projects and touring with them rather than fixing his back, going deeper into the drug thing, and the Abbott bros doing Damageplan. Then Dime was murdered in December '04, Hurricane Katrina happened (Phil lives in New Orleans and the city was decimated) in August '05 and THEN, in November '05, Phil finally kicked the dope, got his back fixed when New Orleans hospitals were back up and running, and kept kicking ass. He had to learn to walk again after having his spine fused. Watch him do Would? with Alice In Chains on Decades of Rock. That was March 10, 2006. First gig back after going through all that. 6 months after surgery. Don't underestimate The Kid! Can not WAIT to see him this September.
Faith no More!
Revolution Is My Name!
Ah live stream, look forward to that!
I’m broken
Your broken
We’re broken
Wife Speaking..This is sooo ironic..My cousin who is a HUGE Pantera fan., sent my Husband and I pictures of him at "Dimebag Darry 's" graveside..(RIP) (Tragic")..Just Today.."Alot of Power" for sure!!
RIP Dime my brother ❤❤❤😢😢😢, you were taken from this world, way too soon...you and Vin are playing in heaven❤❤❤
Next "strenght beyond strenght" 💪🏼
The FNM shirt... great album
Saw these guys at ozzfest
Damn seeing that medline shirt haha brings back memories when I use to buy from medline every week.
Wait, you haven't done the Dominaton (in Moscow) clip yet?
crazy, normally people do that or "cemetry gates" first.
LOVE this band, always will...
and they said we would outgrow it 😂😂😂
Favorite lp from them. They had their own style.
My favorite part of the song is the way Phil says “inherit my life.” So raw and scratchy;}>🤘🏼
The NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) is one of the oldest US wrestling federations/promotions.
If y’all remember WCW from the 90s, WCW was originally a NWA show (NWA WCW). WCW split away from NWA, and they faded into relative obscurity for a while.
As someone else mentioned in the comments, a few years back Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins bought the rights to the NWA and its video library. He runs NWA Powerrr out of a studio in Cali last I knew.
Phil complaining about back problems is/was the inspiration for this song?! It's because of Pantera that I have back pains and problems today! Thanx Phil lol 😂 jk R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell Abbott and Vinnie Paul Abbott you Texas hellraiser's will forever be loved and truly missed always
Great description on the solo guys
Cemetery Gates should be next. Better singing not just screaming vocals although I like this Ryan would appreciate his voice more
I dunno if it's "better" singing, but it is different. Phil's got range and versatility for days, that's true. I know what you're saying though. Most people who listen to dulcet radio singing will prefer Cemetery Gates to, say, TGSTK.
A New Level is a MUST!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
It's known as groove metal with a southern twist since the members are southern boys.
Back in my day, NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) was a wrestling promotion which eventually turned into WCW. I don't know what's going on with it these days. I've been out of the wrestling loop for 20 years.
Dime just straight snapped,unreal🤘🤘
Phil drops the mic at the end walks off "my back hurts"
First thing I ever thought when I heard this was dime stole Mississippi queen lol which is fine
Nothing is more satisfying than bullying bullies
Met Pantera in the 80s, when they were a hair band. Terry Glaze was singer. Darrell introduce me to Phil at a bar, The Basement in Dallas. Phil’s head was on the bar, Dime pulled his head up by his hair and introduced us. Let go of his hair, and bam, face plant on the bar.
I met them during the mid 90s in Philly and hung out with them backstage. Coolest people I ever met.
Believe it or not Pantera started off as a Glam Rock band before transitioning to the style they created called Groove Metal. If and when you react to "Cemetery Gates" you'll see hints of the glam in Phil's operatic voice during certain parts of that song
You can even go back before their official debut album Cowboys From Hell and hear it on their first album with Phil Power Metal.
He was known for actually bending his guitars he'd could shred like no other
Phil CAN SING.. important.. Dimes riff over Phils Scream..
🤘♥️🤘
John Lennon was gunned down on December 8, 1980....Dimebag was gunned down on December 8, 2004
The solo is a double-take and I'm pretty sure he played a few notes differently between the takes on purpose because no-one would've noticed it otherwise.
New sub from Denmark, more Pantera please, groovemetal or any thrash metal and Nu metal, hard shit.
I had a Pantera Shirt with the drill in the Anus, wore it first time I visited my former Mother in law 😂(My Gf loved that shirt)..
I think it’s safe to say now (I’m not putting down or taking anything away from anyone else) that when it comes to metal geetar players Dimebag was the best …..no matter how heavy his playing was he always found a way to make it groove….& not only groove but swing 🖤y’all be safe🥶
It was this moment i realized that being 26 and having 24/7 chronic back pain is not normal. huh... step aside Phil, for it is I who is broken! I might not be able to walk when im 40 but at least i can still slap the 'ol 6 string around! R.I.P DBD! Inspiring even from the great beyond 👊
\PANTERA/!!!!!! R.I.P..."DIME-BAG & VINNIE PAUL"!! 2 OF THE BEST TO TOUCH THIS GOD DAMN WORLD!!!!😎😈😈🤟🤟🤟🤟☝️☝️
A good 3/4 of the biggest wrestlers ever came out of the NWA program.
That part of the solo where Dime is striking the guitar like a snake and violently bending the strings every which way; I'm sure he got that from his fellow Texan and equally legendarily amazing fucking guitarist, Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughn. SRV would do that often live while improvising his solos on stage. Check out some live Stevie sometime if you haven't already. \,,/
I’ve had some pretty unbearable headaches. I’ve had severe muscle pulls in my back twice and both times I was out of work for almost a week. I’m not sure which one I’d prefer to deal with.
Dimebag was buried in a kiss casket I could be wrong
No you’re right. Good trivia
With EVH bumblebee guitar❤
He was the first one to be buried in one. The only other person buried in one is his brother , Vinnie Paul . They are buried right next to each other.
please do Todd Rundgren ....Hello its me 1972 right up your alley !!
God, I miss Dime 😞
Fuckin Metal
All 3 of you

The executives probably felt like up the but was to close to home for them to deal with.🤔😮

Try Domination Live Moscow 1991 next time!
Old school Wrestling….Billy Corrigan from Smashing Pumpkins Fame is owner of it now. Think Ric Flair 80’s Era!👍🤟
I have a question for the boys. What was your FIRST review? Your first show? I know you did some that were poor quality, so you erased them (I think), but once you got into the groove, what was your first show? Thanks. :)
Ofcourse dime is killing the lead again but listen to the bass behind it,it's sick🤘
You guys done Alice In Chains? Frogs, Bleed the freak, Sludge Factory
So... Didn't see Domination. Moscow. Please do it. Subbed
" groove metal"👊💪
IDK right now where the "502" is, but Phil is from the "504"
Alice Cooper- Billion Dollar Babies ( 73) with Donavan !
Excellent! I like most of your music choices here but NOT ENOUGH METAL ON THIS CHANNEL! Loved it 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘 MIC DROP 🎤
Let’s do “Revolution is my Name” and “Yesterday Don’t Mean Shit” 👍
That title alone must make you curious….
Led Zeppelin riff
pantera throes of rejection!!!
More Slipknot and Rage
NWA is a band ha
Metallica sold out and still couldn't hit #1 on the charts but PANTERA did with this album the most brutal and heavy album to ever debut #1 I rode 6 miles in the rain on my nieces pink mini bicycle the day this came out cause i couldn't get my truck started.
Machine head burning red celtic frost bathory mayhem venom laaz rockit saxon sacred reich sadus artillery band rigor mortis band kick axe jack star burning star virgin steele
No butts unless it's Nicki manaj's butt, but tbh I'm ok w that
Not as into them as most. Musically i get. I watched an biography on Dimebag - it was interesting. So tragic!
None of those ailments sound fun. I don't get headaches... But back pain is not fun... The worst pain is kidney stones! That knocks you out. I have had them 3 times...
I think i liked Modern Day Cowboy better...
I have a Views From the 502 playlist. It has the songs i dig... 2 hours and 22 minutes. I have not updated since the Double Take...
Y’all have back pain? How old are u youngins 🤣
Not enough love for phil.
Promo-SM 🤭
Just don’t watch SupermanIV. He builds walls. So bad. Pantera is great but you guys missed one of the best on this album Becoming…come on now!
How dare you put Pantera in the same sentence together. Rage is a freakin joke!
Doesn't matter if you like Rage or not. The riff is straight out of the Rage playbook. That doesn't mean it was influenced by them, it just means it's reminiscent of a RATM riff.
Oh no! This horrible! Just a bunch of noise and screaming. 👎👎👎👎
... no.
Eww
And along comes Debbie Downer.... (trumpet sounds).
Sucks to be tone deaf
