People who say Coldplay lyrics are simple make me chuckle Youre just hearing radio hits. Coloratura, Violet Hill, Trouble in Town, Cemeteries of London just to name a few. Chris is a lyrical genius.
Was never a Coldplay fan before but after seeing them for the first time at Glastonbury recently, they were amazing, and am one of their biggest fans now. I also think the video of them at Glastonbury to watch on this channel is much better footage than the one chosen.
That was 1 show out of 10 with the stadium packed, a little over 60,000 people per night, a total of 626,841 people. This song Sky Full of Star is not the last of the show but there is a short break and then they go to stage C which is a small one at the back of the stadium to sing a couple of quieter songs before doing the last part of the show, about 5 more songs to close the show after this one.
If a song gave you goosebumps, imagine having been there. There were ten consecutive shows at the River Plate stadium in Buenos Aires, almost 70,000 people in each one.
I saw them in 2017 and 2023 at FedEx Field and will have to say that it is the most magical show that I have ever experienced. There is no ‘type’ of fan. They appeal to every age/color. I am 67 and have been to 100s of concerts and nothing compares. The thing you can’t see is the star confetti being dropped. I still have a piece. The armbands are changing depending on the song. I hope to get to experience once more in my lifetime!❤
Hola ! Esto es en Argentina. Una de las 10 noches que tocaron en River Plate. Fué impresionante. River Plate tambien se conoce por el concierto de ACDC .... el mejor público del mundo
Chris Martin is the primary writer of Coldplay's songs, but he always plays it for the band and the band adds to the songs and then they all agree whether they want to record it, or not. "A Sky Full of Stars" was given to Avicii (Tim Bergling) who was a Swedish DJ and remixer who gave it his "Electronic Music" influence. It's a great song and, as you can see, causes the crowd to join in. But then, most of Coldplay's songs invite audience participation and they are always involved from beginning to end. This rabbit hole needs to be explored.
I saw them at Wembley Stadium, London, omg I cannot even begin to say just how brilliant they were, I still have my wrist band and can't wait to see them again
Amazing band for sure, they are so clever with so much done for the crowd - incredible, they have been going for a few years now. So many incredible songs they have too!!!
I've seen Coldplay twice in Chicago and it was the BEST concert I have ever been to! It was so good and felt life changing. Also they dont tell anyone to jump. Everyone just does it. There is sooo much audience participation singing along etc. It was so fun. The first one we went to it had almost gotten rained out and it broke out in rain during it and yet that, out of the two we went to, was the best one! My daughter and I drove to Chicago from MI for and we both still talk about how incredible of experience it was. Like life transforming. Also we had wrist bands too. We went in 2016 the first time. ❤
Before the start of this song, Chris asked the crowd to out their phones away and just live and feel the music … you Have to see them live. It will affect you for days!
At one time, someone said that Coldplay was "The Next U2" and this concert footage gives evidence for that. You chose wisely. "Viva La Vida" is my favorite song by Coldplay and probably in my Top 10 of all time.
The wristbands tech is patented by Coldplay. You get one when u enter the venue. U can feel it vibrate as soon as u enter. It will light up and vibrate according to the songs. It’s really surreal. Cant wait to go to their concert again✨
It’s absolutely amazing what Coldplay does for their fans. It’s so easy for massive artists, bands, etc. to get caught up and to not do as much or to be satisfied with where they’re at which is alright but Coldplay is just different. They’re the ones who first started using the wristbands way back in 2012 on their Mylo Tour and it was created by a Coldplay fan named Jason. Now their current tour they're using eco practices, kinetic floors and stationary bikes to power the show. Each ticket purchased is 1 tree planted and their ticket prices are always reasonable. They could easily charge hundreds for floor tickets but they dont. In Seattle, WA last year i paid $130 (USD) and the shows this year in NZ, i paid $160 (NZD)/each for floor tickets and they sell out in minutes every time. Of course the buy then re-sell folks will hike the price up but the original tickets are always reasonable. i know this is long i apologize😅😂
I know maybe two Coldplay songs, so I thought I'd at least give this a shot. Seems that the unifying thread throughout the songs I've heard is the ethereal, upflifting sound of the music that seems to transcend time. That may sound a little lofty, but it sure created a moving experience for the concertgoers...and even for us, just watching the video.
I've never NOT enjoyed a Coldplay song even if I wouldn't necessarily seek them out regularly. The Scientist is my favorite VIDEO of theirs, but I love watching their lives. You're correct, there's an energy you can't deny.
My wfe has dragged me alog to see them 4 times... (I'm sure she's n love wth Chris Martin..LOL)... and yes, I can agree, just being there was a wonderful feeling. Keep on Rocking guys,
Nice reaction. Don't listen to the haters who apparently could only ever listen to one genre and no variety... now THAT is boring. Check out Arabesque, People of the Pride, God put a smile upon your face, Coloratura, and Fix You. Their live concerts are amazing, and its on my bucket list. Some of their music videos are also amazing. Thanks guys!
Hey guys! Just stumbled on your channel and subscribed. I'm making my way through all your videos. Suggestions would be Cochise by Audioslave, The Day I Tried to Live by Soundgarden, Girl Like You by Smithereens, Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan and something by Breaking Benjamin, preferably So Cold or Diary of Jane. Watching your video right now of Queensryche. You definitely need to do more. That album is an entire experience! Jet City Woman is off their Empire album, which is also incredible, and worth doing.
Coldplay is not my thing. Definitely too pop. I think the only song of theirs that I know is Clocks. I can’t say I like that one but I do like the piano part of it a lot. This concert does look like a blast but I get a bit claustrophobic looking at it. And the only thing I thought of while watching it was… what if you have to pee. The size of the crowd was so impressive I had to look it up. (Per the Internet) River Plate holds max 65,000 and Coldplay had a 10-night run there with a total of 626,000 people attending. Whether I care for their music or not, that’s pretty frickin’ impressive.
They're not entirely pop. The pop songs are what they release as singles because they do well on radio. Check out their songs "Arabesque" or "Trouble in Town". They released those on a very low-key album that they intentionally didn't promote very much called "Everyday Life".
I’ve been to 2 Coldplay concerts. Both were FANTASTIC! Everyone gets a lighted wristband…it was the coolest experience!
To be in the audience when they play this song is a truly amazing experience
Coldplay Fix you São Paulo is epic to have his connection with the audience even when lying on his back is amazing the emotion of the audience
These guys are just easy on the eyes and soul. Terrific live performances. Thanks so much guys for reacting to this one.🍂🍃

Coldplay just makes me smile.
I've seen them live 6 times and would see them 6 more!
Only 6 more?🤣I don't think I would ever get tired of seeing them live😆
I saw them in London and Paris, absolutely phenomenal experience

The energy is crazy.
Went to see Coldplay. Amazing next time they were on tour we went again, twice, once is not enough

❤thank you for sharing this. I love Coldplay and this concert is AMAZING ❤
Saw them live at Wembley - the performance was incredible, the light show made it one of most memorable concerts ever.

Best concerts EVER!!! They bring it to every concert as if it’s their best performance ever. And it is!!! You don’t sit down the entire concert!

What a great feeling. ❤😊 Could it be joy? I miss joy...
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love their live video of "Clocks." Great choice!!!!
They did 10 straight sold out shows, they kept adding dates and selling out!! I was there, it was an amazing experience!!

Love 'em or hate 'em, they're showmen and even though the song isn't a masterpiece, boy does it lift! 😃😃
My wfe has dragged me alog to see them 4 times... (I'm sure she's n love wth Chris Martin..LOL)... and yes, I can agree, just being there was a wonderful feeling. Keep on Rocking guys,
What's crazy is coldplay has been classified as piano rock like Billy Joel and Elton John.
Priceless
Great reaction guys Hi from the UK. cliffyc.❤

Soul is def worth checking out. (Haven’t seen Sing yet.). Another song from this tour that is fire is "Charlie Brown."
love you guys- even if i do not love the bands you sometimes bring- they do have a couple of songs i can listen too
You guys should react to Coloratura
Fun fact: they rarely just go do one stadium fill , they do at least two and this river plates ones I think it was six or seven nights of full stadium
River plate was 10 nights
@@coldplaymay goodness me !!
Fueron 10 o 11 River Plate con 70 mil personas en cada noche todo lleno. Con el mejor publico del mundo
You should react to Yellow, Fix You, or The Scientist. All amazing songs. ❤

Yall have to react to The Scientist from Madrid 2011, Fix You from Sao Paulo, Paradise from Paris, on an on an on😅
Apparently 85% of the wristbands are on average returned.
I love their first two albums and my favorite song is Don't Panic - so a gloomy one, not a happy one 😀
Ah....Coldplay
People spent quite a bit of spare time arguing about them in the late 2000's

Just two words-Steve Perry?
Can't do coldplay. Sorry, see ya next vid.
👎👎
It’s nonsense, like everything modern. Dislike
My number1 most hated band ever! Bore play! I paused the vid at 1 sec so I didn’t have to listen to this, you guys are great though!
Nope Nothing but noise
I officially declare: Coldplay are assholes. 😂
Horrifying.
Thing I love about Coldplay is they aren’t pop
