It might've been an accident. But even if it was, when a doctor messes up and accidentally kills somebody, they're held accountable. This cop should be too.

If it's truly an accident the surgeon would be held liable for negligence and would have to pay out damages to the family. If it was due to recklessness (i.e. the doctor showed up drunk to work) and employed poor decision making the doctor can serve jail time. Either way the cookie crumbles, the doctor tends to be held accountable one way or another

Doctor messes up with clear preparation routine. This was an active crime scene.
Very big difference, darling. If a doctor kills a patient in the operating room because the patient has an underlying unknown condition that causes severe side reaction, the doctor is not held accountable.

Daunte Wright broke into a home before the homeowner, who was in the basement, emerged upstairs and chased him out.
Wright also had armed robbery charges pending at the time of his death. And a pair of lawsuits filed after his death accuse him of shooting a teen in the head and taking part in a carjacking in which an accomplice allegedly shot a young man through the leg.
In the robbery case, Wright allegedly closed one hand around a 20-year-old woman’s throat, choking her, while shoving a gun barrel in her face and demanding cash she had hidden in her bra.

In a situation where you’re dealing with an unknown and potentially dangerous individual things happen. In this case, during the heat of the moment the officer made a mistake by using her gun instead of a taser. It’s all documented and the fact that no one brings this up only further the divide. There is no coverup or anything shady, it was a routine stop where the driver failed to comply with the officers commands.

So... we should just forget about the fact that the kid had arrest warrants for illegal gun brandishing? For heavens sake, he had social media posts of himself with a gun while flashing gang signs. He tried to run off from the police. One bad decision after another. Where were the parents during all of this bad decision making? He was a parent himself and his duty was to be a law abiding, responsible and contributing member of society. Instead he made poor decision and got killed. Did he deserve to die, no...but dont blane anyone but him.
