      Thanks Mr Sage! I'm also looking forward to finalizing the Backhoe project, but "life" keeps getting in the way!! It will happen soon, though. I guarantee it. :-))

      Thank you Mr Speedmachine. Pretty sure this one will miss us. Looks like it might head south. The best outcome is for it to fizzle out! Then no one gets damaged. :-)

    That supercharger is an Eaton M90 off a 3.8ltr V6. Funny I tried to adapt one onto a 3ltr zd30 engine in my dad' GU patrol and the results were very disappointing. Thanks for the tour of the projects mate I enjoyed watching and who knows perhaps one day I will be up your way and very much enjoy catching up for a video together and a beer of two.
    Stay safe and look forward to the next one.
    Cheers

      Hi Tim, you're spot on about the supercharger. I think they also make one for the 5.0 liter. That would have been the better choice for a 4.2, but it cost a lot more, and as almost always, budget was a big governing factor.
      With regard to catching up for a collaboration & beer, It bazar that you mention it as I was planning a trip down to see Steve (Steve's Place Down Under) , and was going to contact you about this exact thing! Unfortunately, the 'wheels have fallen off' this idea (for now!). More will be revealed in the next video!! Thanks for the comment, Tim. Talk soon. :-)

    Thanks for the tour. I’ll have to do an in-depth tour of my place when snow melts. Best to do it before vegetation greens up. One advantage of cold winter so twice a year, after leaves fall before snow items can be more easily found and again in Spring after snow melts but before vegetation greens out. That’s when it’s best to look for things.

      Ha ha! Sounds like you have a good system worked out!! Looking forward to seeing what you've acquired over time. From an Aussie point of view, it would be some pretty cool stuff!!

    Pete , That 5.7 Diesel v-8 in the back was used in Chevs and most GM cars and trucks. Not any parts are Chevy . They are based on Oldsmobile 350 V-8 , much like the Holden V-8s you have there . Great video mate ! 🌵

    • @pete-mate3524
      @pete-mate3524  7 месяцев назад

      You are %100 correct! In Oz, the Chev and Holden are generally regarded as the same thing. That may be where I mixed thing up a bit??!! Thank you for the comment, Scott!! :-)

      @@pete-mate3524 Pete , An old Holden V-8 and a Chev V-8 are very different . I worked at the same Chevy dealer here in Phoenix from 1971 to 2014 . The Holden V-8 is more like an Oldsmobile engine than a Chevy . Old Chev V-8s never had an aluminium front water pump housing and the oil pump was always in the rear driven off the dizzy. On rockers arms the Chev has a single nut hold down , unlike the aluminium stand for every 2 rocker arms like the Olds or Holden. The Old engine was a fine engine itself , Just not a simple as the Chev . GM was so silly in the 70's that every division , Buick, Chevrolet, Pontiac Oldsmobile and Cadillac ALL made a 350cu engine . And all were completely different until the late 70's and early 80's . Hope this helps , Scott 🌵

    i would love so see an episode of you cleaning up all that green stuff that is eating your stuff :P
    also: shelves! the reason why all my shit is just lying around somewhere is because i dont have enough shelving space. so if you can, get your hands on a lot of old metal shelves so you can just throw all that stuff from the ground and everywhere onto those. much easier to move around the shop that way. i never know where i should put things cause there is no space! so i just put it on some free surface, like the floor and then i step over it every single time and think "i dunno where to put it!!!"

    • @pete-mate3524
      @pete-mate3524  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Mr Fred. Yeah, I'm pretty sure there are some shelves under all that stuff!! Ha ha!! But honestly, you're not the first to point out my yard could use a 'tidy up'. I'll put it on the list.
