My dream walk in closet makeover part 2! Today I paint the ceiling blue and work with wallpaper for the first time in my life. The closet is really starting to come together beautifully, super vintage dollhouse vibes. I hope you like it as much as I do!

This home suits you so much better than the one you had begun to set up. The yard, the view from the main room and of course your room and closet. The kitchen is a dream. I think that it "the breakup" happened for a good reason and upon reflection, it seems to be a great reason. Do you agree? I hope you do!
I totally agree. I have in my later years in life, which I just turned 66, have truly lived with the mindset that things happen for a reason. We don’t always know at the time, but the reason will show itself later on. What you’ve gone through in last year is prime example. All the work that you did to your little cottage, just to prepare it to sell. The best result is the home that was totally made for you. Love following you
Oh, I absolutely agree! I actually told her this when she first announced what happened. This is the home for her for sure. It’s funny how you can look back afterwards and see it so clearly😊

I think most people would agree. There was really something off with that relationship and everyone’s concerns for her proved to be true after what ended up happening. I’m glad she’s out of that situation now. I agree that this house suits her much better. It seems much more her, and it IS all her with all of her creative freedom and personality to shine through.
I don't believe in fate; I do believe that a mindful attitude, and a practical, positive approach can help a person overcome inevitable pitfalls. Almost all of us will experience difficulties in life. Admittedly some more than others...

I think the wallpaper is the main attraction. Keep everything else white. maybe a pop of sage green decor.

Don't forget to put moldings on the top of the wall paper wall. It will help to hide all the mistakes we all make. Very easy to put up. The room is looking Fabulous! Go girl!
That dark blue you started to put on the cabinets was GORGEOUS. I bet it would spectacular with that wheat color on the paper and off-set the ceiling brilliantly 😍
My suggestion would be keep the cabinets simple and paint them white. They would look elegant and pop out from the busy wallpaper.
wallpaper is so busy and your clothes and accessories will be so busy I think the furniture should be lacking in color not a beige but a soft creamy buttery White they have beautiful vintage white colors and I think the rest of the room should just be toned down the pop-up blue on the ceiling is enough. Let your clothes and accessories be the color you need in the room
I agree! A soft creamy white will be calming, and match the wallpaper perfectly.
Pure white will look too harsh.
And maybe paint the inside of the cabinet the same blue colour as the roof...

I liked the way you go in all directions; the massacre of your cuty cabinet made me laugh but Madame, how good you've been working at the wallpaper: first time and alone, with a tiny stool, you deserve mille bravo! And the fairy lights are very nice and cosy by the way!

Personally, with the wallpaper being such a statement, I would strip the furniture back to wood tones or use paint effect to match the wooden chest of drawers that you bought.

Agree. Either wood or all white, to bring some light back to the room. But I don't think the room needs more color accents.
Strangely, I actually liked the beige/caramel paint. It was a similar tone and matched well. But if she wants some contrast, that's ok too. She's got great taste.

I can't wait to see what all she does do. She already had the outdoors perfect. Now the perfect touch, fairy lights. My favorite thing is with her wicker sitting area set. That round tan crochet rug. I love that rug ❤. Enjoy your afternoon- 🌹

I absolutely love the wallpaper I think that the creamyness of the white on the cabinet be plenty ,and then you could use your clothes as your pop co color

I have never seen anyone hang wallpaper like that LOL but it looks by far and away the smartest way to go about it! I've always put it off because there's no way I'd not mess up pasting a huge piece of paper and then climbing a ladder with it. 😂 Look gorgeous, maybe the darker blue could go on the ceiling for a more dramatic look? A cluttered space often works better in moody palettes. 💝

I think the wallpaper looks wonderful. The fairy lights as well. When putting up wallpaper sometimes if you book the wallpaper, apply glue directly to wallpaper and then fold the wallpaper in half length wise. It will give you more time to put up the wallpaper. Instead of applying the glue directly to the wall. Booking it keeps the glue sticky longer by not letting it dry out.
I didn’t know that’s what that technique is called, but it’s the way I’ve done it since the 1970s. I think applying paste to the wall is something new?
When I watch your videos, I always feel like a welcome guest in your home. I really appreciate how you make your viewers feel like they are a part of the home living process.

I keep my white Christmas lights handy to use in the garden. Others I buy in the garden center are usually solar sets that come on at dusk

I usually start with the carpet, and try to find colors there that would coordinate well on the walls.

I would have painted the closet in the beige color, just because that would make the closet "disappear" and not make the room to buzy. If not,- I would have paintet the whole closet in the light blue that you used in the siling.
Love the lights!! I have never seen nor done pasted wallpaper go up so sweet. Usually it's a flipping mess. My Mom and Dad used to redo our home and it was paste the wall, paste the back of the paper, hear a few choice words if Dad didn't match the pattern perfectly. Lol love the blue on the ceilings too. My niece had a blue ceiling in her kitchen family room with beautiful clouds painted on it.

I’m an artist in the US. I always look forward to your videos. Love the wallpaper it looks amazing. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw both pieces of furniture in the wallpapered closet was that both pieces might look good in just an ivory color with maybe some unique hardware. Hope you don’t mind me sharing my thoughts.
Let the wall paper be the main character..i would leave those 2 pieces of furniture white.. because you clothes are already colorful...and too much color your wall paper won't stand out!🧡

You need to buy a small 3 or 4 step ladder. It won’t be too heavy and will fit your needs perfectly.

Your gardens are beautiful!! Regarding the walk-in closet. I love the wall paper, so pretty. I would paint the cabinet beige and put mirror in the insets of the cabinet doors. The room is small and that cabinet painted beige would blend with the wall paper and along with the mirrors, create an illusion of space. Also, the mirrors would be practical and bouce light around the room for when you're dressing. Keep going chickie, I think you're doing great and can't wait to see it finished. You're such an artistic inspiration!

I love the color for the ceiling!! You have graduated from being afraid of standard colors!!!! Its going to look fantastic!!!! You r a natural at wallpaper., Was thinking of painting the cabinets a pearl color with the inside finish matte and the outside panels gloss and then maybe in the middle of the panels a small applique or even a fancy script of your initials.
Well done! Wallpapering is a very difficult job and this is a triumph! The fairy lights are very sweet too. Be careful on chairs and stools! Did you get a long-handed pole for painting in the end? 🙂
