Something is not right, I had that exact same bike for 8 years and it always started 2nd or 3rd kick cold, with the choke on, and no throttle. Then after it was warmed up it always started 1st or 2nd kick warm. I never had to kick it like that to get it started, so there has to be a problem somewhere.
@@davesfordperformancegarage4511 Like I said, I do not like those Lectron carbs, I would put a stock 38mm Mikuni on it, and maybe lean the gas out a little, not sure what your gas to oil ratio is. I went with 40:1. using Bel-Ray mc-1 racing oil.
It sure is smoking a lot, you might have your gas and oil mixed too rich, I ran mine at 40:1 using Bel-Ray mc-1 racing oil, and it ran like a champ, and started right up very easily. Never had one engine problem with it in 8 years. I also do not like those Electron carbs, they can be a little strange, get a stock 38mm Mikuni on it.
Pilot jet might be clogged nice looking bike.
Cleaned it all
How strong is the spark from the CDI unit?
Seems good

@steves2241 I don't have the stock one, this is the carb it came with when I bought the bike

@@steves2241 I would think the extra smoke is coming from the oil applied to the piston and bearing during the rebuild
