- In this video we explain in step-by-step instructions how to inflate a bicycle tire, which has the Presta Valve.
The regular Schrader Valve, used in automobiles, does not fit on the Presta Valve. We need a special adapter to place on top of the Presta Valve. After that it is possible to attach the Schrader connector and inflate the tire.
these valves are beyond stupid
Why do they even have a presta valve in the first place. Theyre so useless and inconvenient for buying new tubes
Father-in-law gave me a Specialized FSR bike that is insanely priced and this is what i'm dealing with. Thinking of using a standard tube after drilling the valve stem hole out. I'm not racing this bike but don't feel like upsetting him either. Tough spot.

They’ve introduced the presta valve purely to create tiers of sales. They don’t even work effectively EVER!!
I’ve literally just been trying for 5 minutes to pump the tyre up- it simply won’t allow it despite me removing the valve and replacing it further up the stem.
Am I going to have to humiliate myself by walking in a bike shop !!??
