The scratch issue I originally thought was the fault of Gazzew's parts. It turns out it is not. The preassembled switches and individual bulk parts have the same tolerances. The issue lies somewhere within the Pro Burgundies, whether their design got changed or their molds got too old. Regardless, the switches bought from Olaugh in R1 or R2 will **NOT** be scratchy. www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/o8oj1o/bulk_x510_lubed_darlings_switches_round_1/ Also, I apologize for the mic buzzing. This cable seems to have gone bad, I'm tossing it.
i made a boba white top housing with a radiant red stem. i think they're pretty similar to this minus the filing part since the akko stems fit perfectly on gazzew housings.
I actually have all the parts needed to make these, but it seems that there is indeed a tolerance issue with the bobagum housings and the pro burgundy stems. I feel like I should attempt to file down the sides, but it'll be a trial and error tofigure out exactly how much. I would jump on a GB of these.
i have a good question nearLucid, what happens if you combine the leftover parts, for example holy pandas have a counterpart called unholy pandas that use the leftover parts, and i was wondering if this switch had a similar situation.
Of course! Since there’s a chance you might have to file the top housings, I would also consider the gazzew thock stems (red stems) that won’t have any compatibility issue and will give similar results. Shoobs made a video on these ruclips.net/video/nc1BCtw0zN0/видео.html
Bummer that kailh changed their stem mold. I have a board I'm putting darling on and would love to make these switches to go with it. KTT's Darling switches don't sound as good imo.
Honestly, you shouldn't use the jelly epoch fir these comparisons. It's pcb foam changes the switch sound too much to be a reasonable comparison to most other boards
a question. I already own the bubagum but they are the rgb version. The question is if rgb bubagums are used to make darlings, do they sound the same as darlings with non-rgb bubagums? i love how darlings sound and i would like to do them.
They would definitely work and should sound extremely similar. I don’t know exactly the difference in material but the sound change would be negligible.
Not sure about durock pom, but cream stems look ever so slightly shorter than burgundy stems to me. I made a darling using a cream stem and it sounded a little bit more high pitched.
muh dude you lost me when you said "Don't require films" These are injection molded... no mater how "tight" the tolerances are the cooling process can introduce warping and inconsistency from housing to housing. While you may get lucky... it's a good idea to film these to be safe.

Well, because.... "It's Gazzew" -- Thank you (yes, I'm Gazzew)
ayo no way
no way!!
Ordered my bobagums and burgundies immediately.
I've watched this more than 7 times if I'm being honest.
Thanks for the great video 😄😄
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
the production quality is insane🔥🔥
I like yo shit it’s straight to the point n informative
Very high quality video, nice job
love the way you explain everything, and the video are very chill!
criminey dude, what a masterpiece. Suddenly the time it took seems more than reasonable.
the grind dont stop

wow thx dude for the info, i have radiant red and want to try franken it, do u have the sound test?
DAMNNN Homeboy tested on f,g,h, and j - straight innovation
I see the views growing. Good.
Isnt olaugh the one guy that made hamaji neo absolutely lose it in reacting to custom keyboards?
Yep. Maybe someday I can do the same LOL
Great review bro! Might have to consider these!
Is there an updated list for parts to buy for this switch? Im interested in making them but the burgundy stems have changed
also random but these seriously remind me of the sound of pen being clicked in and out.

I already have a batch of the Gazzew Boba Silents. Could I just buy the burgundies and mod them myself?

Been working out lately huh 🥵
The grind dont stop
does this switch have interference? the darling one
wow super well made
how do you only have 900 subs
i am curious if the purple and red stem do the same thing
can you try the burgandy stem in the ink black housing
Bummer that kailh changed their stem mold. I have a board I'm putting darling on and would love to make these switches to go with it. KTT's Darling switches don't sound as good imo.
Does anyone know if it’s safe to buy frankenswitches premise from someone? I’m new to this stuff
Where can I get the switches
Honestly, you shouldn't use the jelly epoch fir these comparisons. It's pcb foam changes the switch sound too much to be a reasonable comparison to most other boards
Should this be filmed?
I happen to already have the RGB version of the Boba Gum, how do they compare for use case with the clear tops? Does anyone have experience with this?
When frankenswitching how can you tell if the stem - bottom - top housing would fit each other? Would most switches fit one another?
Just trial and error. Most of the time it fits
Can you use boba u4 housings for this

@@nearLucid ty. I will try
I need a Miku switch
Can you make these with boba u4ts housings instead?
i dont think so, because the boba u4t is a tactile switch
If I use a cream stem or durock Pom stem will I have the same result
Not sure about durock pom, but cream stems look ever so slightly shorter than burgundy stems to me. I made a darling using a cream stem and it sounded a little bit more high pitched.
4k OKAY
Did you used black inks for the sound comparison?
Red inks, but they should sound almost exactly the same. The only differences are the spring weight and color.
how do i buy them?
You can make your own using the two different switches parts, or look out on olaugh’s Reddit I linked in the description for when he does round 2
what mic do you use?

good qc :)
Wow love how the video was put together, never had interest in these switches but this video was so well made 🥲
