Very smart move by Ineos letting you take their vehicle for a while and really test it. With the quality of production they are getting some of the best publicity they could ever get. I wish them well with this vehicle. Launching in to something like this from scratch is one hell of a leap of faith. New car makers don't often succeed.
I don't think Ineos let him use the car, I believe it's an owner who let him use it.
Pretty sure he owns it. It’s not a loan car.
@@wanderingambience799its a loan vehicle,he states that a few times over the course of the videos, that's why he hasn't mounted the UHF and many other things to the vehicle, so he's not allowed to make holes in it basically.
I would say Land Cruiser 70 , or 250 , is much better option in terms of cost $ € , service & parts availability , where are BMW engine service dealers in remote Australia or Africa 😂😂😂 ??
@@moezdahmani9194250 is just a Prado. Nothing compared to this…..
The Grenadier does look good.
By far the Ultimate Offroad Advertisement for the Grenadier
Stunning footage and camera work mate, that lightning though😂
Tell me about it, we didn’t even know until I started editing it 😂
What a rig! The setup looks so good, the Grenadier just looks like how a 4x4 should look.
I'm so glad Ineos gave you the Grenadier instead of ASPW.
ASPW?
yeah, would be torturous to watch, Ronney is hard to watch sometimes but ASPW is next level.

So awesome being in America, driving the swamps and forests in my state of FL.
Then hopping on the internet and watching 4wding in Australia and likely places Ill never get to see with my own eyes. So awesome. Thank you!
Finally! A camping/4wd video! Thanks Ronny :)
Hey Ronny, I am a long time follower of your videos from Tunisia (North Africa).
Here we mainly drive on soft sands, whether on the beach or the desert. So we just drop to 10psi as soon as we start off roading on 33" tires and we go as low as 6-7psi on 35".
Anything above that out here will lead to premature wear of mechanics.
Keep up the good work and hope to see you some day around 👍🏻
The addition of the place names to the video was great. Thankyou
The Grenadier engine sounds great! Nice growl in the cab.
U mean the BMW straight 6 diesel engine…
What an incredible episode Ronny.
The camera work and whole production perfectly matches the unbelievable scenery of that part of the world!
That lightning shot on the beach, insane! (Even without the lightning!)
Over all the hype and presentation of the Grenadier, INEOS nailed it to let you have one to put through its paces.
An honest and well presented experience of driving this car is long over due!
Can't wait fore the next episode of your adventure mate! 🍻
Man it would be so cool to get the full-fat diesel version in the US. What a great rig.
Impressive trip and the landscape is amazing! Greetings from Transilvania, Romania! You rock man! 💪
Finally a video of a real test of the INEOS. Thank you
Couldn't think of a better guy to review the new vehicle.
Proud to say the wife and I did that false entrance to steep point track solo using our tuna💪
Great footage gents, stepping up the production values here Ronnie, love the Grenadier
Gotta love the new defender... this should of been the defender 15 ot 20 years ago
Being as I’m watching this in northwest Ohio, USA, I’m definitely getting foreign vibes.
😆🍻
Same, from Southern AZ🤣
Amazing video, I loved seeing all the West Australian coast line.
What a GREAT end to that video, you left my mouth watering for the direct comparison of the 76 and the Grenadier! Am a 70 series owner as well, and I share your 'biggest concern' all the way from here in East Africa, hahaha! Great story telling, Ronny.
That is a good looking beast!! Oh, and so is the INEOS Grenadier.. 😅
Gay
Greetings from Nicaragua 🇳🇮! Agreed, foriegn vibes all the time!
Seeing this footage from the east coast makes me keen to get over there.
Now this is the footage ive been missing! Love it!
Man the editing is world class . The inios is one capable bit of gear. (bunbury)
Thanks for taking us on an enjoyable tag along. Given how little you have had to change on the grenadier it seems like a very well thought-out and quality machine.
Videos like these are going to have some serious sway on potential buyers as they are real world use examples rather than the more common auto journalism just singing praises and playing with the pretty switches.
Given the size of the company and how hard they have tried to make a great machine for real world travel and adventure, I wonder if they will take on board the feedback about all the settings being reset every engine start. I can see that issue getting very annoying.
Surely it's just a case of their techs playing with some 1s and 0s and releasing a firmware update.
They could make it a simple process of, holding one of the setting buttons down during start and every setting is kept from before.
Thanks again for the view of our most western point or our massive island.
I was thinking the same thing. Like, maybe keeping everything the same while in the ‘off-road’ setting, or maybe when the vehicle is in 4 low? Like you said, it’s essentially just a software fix, probably not all that complicated at that.
I haven’t seen it, officially, but I know the owners have been annoyed with the speed limit warning reminders & apparently they’re working on an update for that already, which makes the company seem pretty responsive to feedback.
I think this vehicle will be quite formidable by the ‘25 or ‘26 model year, once they’ve had a couple years to fix the bugs & other little niggles that all new vehicles encounter. All things considered, It’s got surprisingly few issues for a brand new vehicle, from a first time car maker.
I worked out of Carnarvon in the early 80s. Have been all along that coast many times. Such a beautiful part of the country
Ronny! Been following for long mate. Production quality is amazing on the channel. Kudos 👌
Cheers from Kenya!
What a treat! Thanks for taking us along!
High quality Ronny. Really good watching and glad you’re doing well.
BTW you can use the FAV button on the centre wheel thing behind the gear shifter to pre-select your favourite screen on the infotainment. So to get the tyre pressures / temp screen each time you start is just one click…. Shame you can’t do that for the Off road mode etc..
Awesome and outstanding content as always. The vehicle performance was excellent. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
wow, the grenadier looks so good!
Brilliant video!
Ronny knows what he is doing + testing an awesome vehicle = win win…
Grenadier !!! Very nice truck - greetings from northern Germany
Great balanced review video.
Had the same beach crabbing experience just north of Lancilin one time.
The mixture of a steep beach and soft sand. The defender only just made it thru.
Spectacular episode in an awesome part of the world, love the realworld testing of a minimally modified vehicle.
Great advertising for the Grenadier.
Will be interesting to see how the Land Cruiser stacks up, maybe Ronny will be getting rid of 2 cars to buy 1
Wow , I was anxious on the beach when you got stuck , your knowledge of everything is inspirational . 👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely beautiful video. Nicely done and so pleasant to watch. Looking forward to forward to see next adventures
Looks like a fantastic adventure. I must do this one day!
so far one of your best adventures yet and a true comparison. Can't wait to find out which you prefer.
Ronny such a great video and the Grenadier looks the business. I really think this beast of a vehicle is going to be really enjoyed by those lucky enough to own one. Keep em coming Ronny can't wait for the next instalment. So good !
Love watching your videos from the states
Great content Ronny, thanks a ton. Got the very same setup (lift & tires), even the colour 👍 In one of your next videos could you please talk about the battery system, specifically in camp usage, that be great. Cheers mate
Seeing those scetchy ill defined sandy back tracks reminds me of driving up the coast tracks north of Perth in the late 1960s . Good old days .
Definitely looks a bit like Morocco, Algeria that I drove through back in the 1993 co-driving overland camping tours.
Glad vehicles these days have air-conditioning, and not Bedford 4x4 trucks with 20 passengers in the back cooking in 50°C.
Great video Ronny! I would love to afford this one day. 😁
Really looking forward to the next trip with this...might be a purchase coming soon..
I reckon the quality of video editing is superb. The effects that are used bring the aerial, external and internal scenes together is so good! 👍💯
Thank you very much!😃
Great Video. Real world testing . Need to do a family camping trip with the kids.
Great film and scenery!
Quality work. Great choice from Grenadier giving one to you. Will pay dividends for them. Next video will be very interesting. Bring it on!!
Love your work Mr Dahl
Brilliant so glad you have the Ineos as a long term test, maybe it is worth the $$
Just loved your videos and jealous of the off roading vehicles you used :(
I’m in, ya got me right there with ya, keen to see the 76 comparison.
Such a simple thing to get stuck on a beach in WA with tide rising, Just don’t freak out!
Love the sound of a straight six. Pitty no one else has them in there anymore. My favourite still is the old Toyota HDFTE but this does sound great
Those pods look like it’ll cut out your side vision a lot, especially your passenger side! Nice to see the grenadier handling it ok .
💯 on foreign vibes, before you mentioned it I was getting African adventure vibes. Very cool!
Seen Dan from 'the road chose me' drive a JK Wrangler across Africa? That's all I could see
Gosh, that grenadier looks great!
Side note. Very cool and well made thumbnail. Weldone
Fantastic content, your coverage is what I've been waiting for on this. Hopefully soon, somebody will come up with some sort of a programmer to shut all that electronic stuff off, or at least maintain the settings where you leave them.
I'm guessing most car tuners can do whatever setting you want
my car has stop/start deleted, adblue delete, EGR/DPF deleted
it was more for a safety factor, the DPF blocked up once and put me in limp mode, 80% power
l had to clear the fault with a $100 code reader just to be able to leave traffic lights
in NT and WA there's not a great deal of folks who sell Adblue in remote areas
I've heard if the car runs out it won't start
13L gets about 6000km from memory but it adds too much risk if l run out
deleting that stuff, getting a ECU tune and running 275/70/18 tyres I've got a 15 to 20% increase in fuel economy
and about the same in extra power
@@iwaswrongabouteveryhthingAnd risk thousands of dollars in fines ? Only really stupid businesses would still be doing emission deletes . The fines are over 10 grand for a business.
@@AussieDazzaIt’s not for emissions. It’s to turn off (or not turn off, actually) the off-road settings the vehicle has set when you turn off the Grenadier. It would likely save on emissions, since people wouldn’t be leaving the truck running.
@AussieDazza "it was like that when l bought it"
Seems like a great vehicle. At the moment the petrol version is at the top of my list of potential replacements for my FJ Cruiser if the time ever comes that I need to.
It's so hard to judge reliability with new cars but I always love your work
i was supposed to be sleeping now, but had to watch all 22minutes until the end!
The lift and bigger tyres look proper, as if it came from the factory like that.
I love your videos so much. Greetings from Germany
That was a great example of airing down.
Even at a low 16psi you looked like you were going to dig in really badly. 6psi doesn't sound a lot but it is when we are at low pressure levels.
You made it look easy at 10psi.
As I write this I am looking out of the window at my beautiful 76. I got your point at the end, are we allowed to like the Grenadier that much. It feels like being unfaithful.
😂
Had to do the same thing a couple of weeks in the Yeagarup Sand dunes. Navigating on the ground can be challenging
One of my favourite tracks in WA!
Looking forward to the comparison. 👍🏻🇦🇺
Well made episode Ron 🎉but you just threw a wrench into my plan to build a touring rig based on a LC78 😂😂😂 I am now going to wait for your final assessment of the Ineos and your comparison 😊 test with the 76. Waiting for the next episode 👍🏻
Really proper test drive Ronny, m....... the Grenadier or the 76??? In my opinion, the 76 is the stripped-down, lightweight, no superfluous "fluffy' stuff, just the tool, out of these two and it will no doubt be far more economical, which is an important factor these days, I'm guessing the Grenadier drank a whole lot more and carried a lot of extra un-needed weight! Be the 76 for me. Thanks mate, great vid, beautiful scenery.
I recall one of the first things ASPW pick out about the INEOS was that front steering damper at the front and its vulnerable position.
I think its only on the right-hand drive version. Left hand drives have it located with more clearance.
Doesn’t really matter where it is, when a roo gets rolled straight under the vehicle at speed. A front bumper can look vulnerable when you drive straight into a wall !!
Yeah I am with you on the settings. Th Fj won’t let you keep the traction completely off with out getting out of the vehicle and doing stuff.
Great video, how many settings do you need to reset every time you shut down?
WA is such a beaut part of the world
Its greatest upside is that it's so far from everything
Its greatest downside is that it's so far from everything
Ps: i used to love driving around Lancelin blaring Arabic music 😂
You Aussies have overlanding down with serious swagger... but I find it amusing every time I see an Aussie say "the track is getting rough." Or something similar. A lot of these rough tracks seem pretty tame. It's probably just my bias comparing it to some of the tracks we have here in the US.
It's more about the distance, it's not rock crawling for 50 miles 100 miles from home, its about 1000s of klms of continuous corrugations 1500klms from home that destroy suspension, its about spinifex that collects under your vehicle once caught alight can burn any vehicle to the ground 500klms away from any help, I suppose it is about perspective.
Big ups to the Land cruiser providing back up😂
Looks much better with 34s on it
such a great car.
I saw a car hauler with 4 of these INEOS trucks in Northeast Florida the other day. Up close they look very bulky and low to the ground. I am assuming they were VERY stock. I had never seen one before your video and then seeing some in my home state is pretty cool.
The ground clearance is 10.9 inches. Ronnie add the 1 inch lift and put on 34. So his now is probably close to 12 inches. The stock tires are 31
I think Ronny has a woody for his new 😘😘😛😛Girlfriend, go order the new dual cab 👌👌👍👍
Great video! How did you get around the annoying TPMS when airing up and down?
Another awesome video thank you!!
Any chance you could add a note when you are in 4Lo and what pressures you aired down to? Just in a corner or something. That would be very helpful especially on sand and corrugations
Loving the Grenadier content Ronny. How's the Air-conditioning in it go? Is it up to Aussie summers?
I think this car suits on you very well
Absolute fantastic video. The grenadier is dong well. I wish they would offer a factory option for 35 tires. Saw two grenadiers yesterday here in Boston. They are out of place here, although when you consider how shitty boston roads are..... Also, I'm not sure if I should be impressed or sad that even the trails you did through the dunes are visible on google maps these days.
This thing is so cool. My first project car was a fj62 and I still love it but she’’s gettin old, I was so excited for the new Land Cruiser, and I was so deeply disappointed and dissatisfied with it. I would MUCH rather have this (I can’t afford either😂)
It feels like cyprus. As a matter of fact, it's exactly like Cyprus, you should visit some day.
Hi Ronny. Awesome video. Did you find that the bigger tyres impacted on the amount of wheel travel possible? The vehicle looks much better with the bigger tyres. In Africa you can often struggle to find certain bigger / non-standard tyre sizes in the smaller towns if you damage a tyre.
Awesome adventure! I've done Shark Bay - but that track looks epic! Would be good to get your thoughts on what you reckon the Ineos would be like as a Cab/Chassis with a Canopy Set-up??
I'm definitely getting foreign vibes... but I'm watching from Ontario Canada so....lol. sipping coffee in my RV enjoying a bit of camping for Victoria day/ "may twofour"
....getting to Steep Point brutal Red Bluff just as brutal on suspension.!!
I think you will need be up picking the Grenadier. Modern and seems to be more capable out of the box. BTW would be nice if you did a test with the Jeep Gladiator., just mentioned because you are driving others vehicles, would be nice see a Gladiator. I know it’s very capable and easy and cheap to upgrade it.
Morning from south africa, great video looking like a serious 4x4 now. OK4WD done an alu-cab roof top conversion they have a youtube video worth having a look at looks good.
Good luck
