Why in all the similar videos that I see you always give the speed level to Sonic while in all the confrontations between the two characters it can be seen from miles away that they are of equal speed. There are even times when Sonic gets ahead of Shadow but Shadow eventually catches up to him. Plus Shadow is the best user of the Chaos Emerald powers, so why would he necessarily lose to Sonic in super or hyper form?
That is because of the plot. If we make a battle between this two with fp and no chaos emeralds. Shadow kinda more using chaos emerald/chaos control to catch up with sonic or to be infront of him. And also shadow's speed is based on his air shoes

It is true that Shadow sometimes uses teleportation linked to the powers of the chaos emeralds, but there are times when he does not, when Sonic does not get much ahead of him. Maybe because his shoes give him better acceleration?
