Hey yes it is possible and I love this feature. 1- Add a repeater at the bottom of the page. 2- Add a new dataset linked to the items you want to display. 3- Open dataset settings and add a filter This filter need to have matching information to work properly. Once you start creating the filter you will see what I mean.

I am doing my first website for a nail boutique and I want to put in a dynamic item (or is it list, I still don't understand how they are connected or which comes first.lol). So I opened a multi-page but I think this is incorrect. I have text that is in columns and not lining up. So I have the service name, then the time of the service and then the price of the service. When I go look at it in preview, all the lines are scrambled up. How do I fix that> please and thank you so much.

Hey thanks for the feedback 😊 if you have different categories, you can have a category field on the database which you can define each item and create a new dynamic page with the url based on that category field.

Thanks for the feedback. The reset button is just a regular button that will reset the options you have picked. Add a regular button, connect to the same dataset and the reset option will appear.

Hey, you can link the submit button of a form to a dynamic page which you will be taken after feeling out the form, however, without code you won’t be able to filter the content before landing on it. I believe you should be able to do something similar using code though.

To give context, I run a wellness travel company so want a destinations page so was thinking of having each country as a dataset with all the hotel names on. However, I need another page with holiday types - so would need to pull all the 'detox holidays' and 'yoga holidays' etc to place in the repeaters... Orrr.. do you have any other recommendations? I have used 95 of my static pages and need more so think i need to shift to dynamic and getting my head around it

Hi, so I set up a collection, have linked the two dynamic pages (category and item display) to the data base and it all works. however I need the function to hide some pages for a period of time and then unhide the individual collection data set. That was easy to do in the past with hide/show feature. But how to do it now without having to delete the item from the collection?
My client is real estate agent and has properties that he takes off market and then back in again. Thus just wants to stop the, from showing until he sets them free again
@@DailyDamage I’m not sure how you built your site but I would try creating a collection called like “hidden items” and link the items that I want to hide from the website, then I would create a filter on the page which would not display elements from that specific collection. Have a look if this would work for you.

You can add a repeater to the dynamic page and link it to the dataset, also set the page url to collect the information from that category field.

You need code to make the text change every couple of minutes. But you can use connect text to the database to have it changing according to the chosen option.

If it only returns a Blank page it means that something is missing. Make sure the information that you are using for the filters are matching perfectly. If you have for example “google” and “Google” the filter won’t match because one has capital G and the other doesn’t.

Hey usually you are able to replicate everything you have on ur static page onto ur dynamic page. Are you adding a url field to your dynamic page or do you want to link one dynamic page to another?

Every time when I tried edit my dynamic page it reset all the tuning I was patiently making while my editor was freezing. I will never return to making dynamic pages ever again!

Hey, happy that I was able to help a bit. If the dropdown is grayed out when u try to use it as a filter you can click on the dropdown, click on connect to data. Now on the top part it will say “connect a dataset” you should leave as “choose” if this top part is selected the dropdown won’t work as a filter.
Help. I am having trouble with the linking the pages or that so when i go live with the page it is not showing my items it is just a blank page with the things that are not linked to the data is there a way we can communicate about this easier.

Hi. Thanks for the video! It was very helpful. When I try to add a filter though, the user input element is greyed out. I have checked all the connections and permissions etc so I really don't know why this is happening.
When I try to add a filter under 'value source' it is not allowing me to select user input to connect it to the dropdown list with my different categories. It is read only and i went through the troubleshooting but can't find the problem
Anissa Catalina ok check another two things. 1- click on the dropdown and go to connect to data. 1.1 Make sure the option connect a dataset is set to choose. 2. If you are connecting the dropdown list to a dataset, it can not be the same dataset that you want to add the filter, so you will need to add a dataset only for the dropdown list.
@@CleitomMiranda okay so when I added the dataset to the page again it allowed me to connect the dropdown list but then the filter didn't work. So I checked the repeater connections. The repeater then showed that it was connected to the Primary dataset (titles Recipes) but then showed 'other dataset' and gave the options to connect to Recipe dataset. But they should be the same thing because it is from a connection? Anyways- I then tried reconnecting to the recipe dataset option and then the filter worked but the repeater didn't i.e. it didn't move down all the content in my collection but just repeated the same thing over and over.
Anissa Catalina are you creating the filter in a static or dynamic page? Filters work better on statics pages, for dynamic pages you need a workaround. The dataset that is connected to the repeater needs to have the filter, the second dataset can be connected to the dropdown list.

Hey, you can change the page permissions for members with that specific plan you want. U won’t be able to change the content on the same page for specific members tho.

With the dynamic pages, it is not working to take them directly to the collection. this is the site I am working on www.nygrad.com

On this video I explain how to create the category on the database, on the dynamic page and how to link it. You won’t be able to link each item to a completely different dynamic page, but to a category dynamic page.
Hey make sure to sync database between sandbox to live and check the dynamic pages url to see if they are being created by the field you chose from the database.

Hey yes it is possible and I love this feature.
1- Add a repeater at the bottom of the page.

You can have multiple filters under the same repeater if you have multiple fields in your database that can be used as filters.

You can do that using the Wix Stores elements but with data all of them will show up.

Check if the menu has an option to “manage menu”.

You need to link a button or a menu link to that page. Normally when you add a dynamic page it adds a link to ur menu.

Add a button to the page you want and connect it to that url field from your database collection.
If u are working with collections you better add a repeater and attach a button to it

Yes you need to change the number of items to display in the dataset settings. It will appear on preview and live site.

Help. I am having trouble with the linking the pages or that so when i go live with the page it is not showing my items it is just a blank page with the things that are not linked to the data is there a way we can communicate about this easier.

Regarding other issues like connection it is difficult for me to say where is the issue. Follow the video again and see if u can figure it out.
Hi I am trying to add filter to my dynamic page but anytime i go to add filter, ' another dataset ' and ' user input element ' are automatically tripped off. Any ideas on what i can do or the issue? Thanks

Hi. Thanks for the video! It was very helpful. When I try to add a filter though, the user input element is greyed out. I have checked all the connections and permissions etc so I really don't know why this is happening.
Anissa Catalina what user input is greyed out? If all the fields are, check the dataset mode, it should be read only.
When I try to add a filter under 'value source' it is not allowing me to select user input to connect it to the dropdown list with my different categories. It is read only and i went through the troubleshooting but can't find the problem
Anissa Catalina ok check another two things.
1- click on the dropdown and go to connect to data.
1.1 Make sure the option connect a dataset is set to choose.
2. If you are connecting the dropdown list to a dataset, it can not be the same dataset that you want to add the filter, so you will need to add a dataset only for the dropdown list.
@@CleitomMiranda okay so when I added the dataset to the page again it allowed me to connect the dropdown list but then the filter didn't work. So I checked the repeater connections. The repeater then showed that it was connected to the Primary dataset (titles Recipes) but then showed 'other dataset' and gave the options to connect to Recipe dataset. But they should be the same thing because it is from a connection? Anyways- I then tried reconnecting to the recipe dataset option and then the filter worked but the repeater didn't i.e. it didn't move down all the content in my collection but just repeated the same thing over and over.
Anissa Catalina are you creating the filter in a static or dynamic page? Filters work better on statics pages, for dynamic pages you need a workaround.
The dataset that is connected to the repeater needs to have the filter, the second dataset can be connected to the dropdown list.

Hey, you can change the page permissions for members with that specific plan you want. U won’t be able to change the content on the same page for specific members tho.
But check the permissions for pages and see how far you can go with it

What is the flow you are trying to create? Give an example.
@@CleitomMiranda So it's a website where students order graduation stuff, they need to go into the collection that it's specific to their school. when they go in the site, they will enter their school name on the search bar and their school should come up. With the dynamic pages, it is not working to take them directly to the collection. this is the site I am working on www.nygrad.com
Tania Garcia Ok, you need to have categories on the database and create a dynamic page for this category. On this video I explain how to create the category on the database, on the dynamic page and how to link it. You won’t be able to link each item to a completely different dynamic page, but to a category dynamic page.

Hey make sure to sync database between sandbox to live and check the dynamic pages url to see if they are being created by the field you chose from the database.

Hi, so I set up a collection, have linked the two dynamic pages (category and item display) to the data base and it all works. however I need the function to hide some pages for a period of time and then unhide the individual collection data set. That was easy to do in the past with hide/show feature. But how to do it now without having to delete the item from the collection?
