I thought the sound quality definitely held up compared to the other speakers. Definitely might pick it up
Thank you Danny for a simple short review.I liked the segment where you compare it with other Portable Speakers and thank you for not trying hard to be a comedian like other reviewers.
Great video , love how you explain ( visually) how the frequencies sound / feel😊
These speaker color and design give some 60s vibes.
And if Polaroid's plan is to be the company that mixes retro with a modern twist, it's extremely smart.
however Jbl and Marshall already dominate the Bluetooth speaker market, of which I have difficulty seeing these polaroid speakers live on.
Agree a lot, I think you get the point... The video is mainly comparing market situation and criticises based on status quo. Why compete with what is out there, mass market stuff ??
Great review. I’m a big Polaroid fan, but I understand why they want to diversify. Where did you get that cool shirt!?!
Definitely gotta love that Polaroid style, so much so that I just might get it for the sake of collection. Curse my sentimental ways!
I am in love with their colors even if I have already my white emberton, which match perfectly to home. However I was wondering how this sweet speakers can sounds. I see that in comparison with emberton he doesn’t have defined bass which I personally love, so is rather not for me. However I still fall in love with their design 🤩 Thank for this review, very interesting 🙂
Two P1s are far superior for getting the best STEREO effect. But this is simple and neat, should have tried the Aux. line in which usually delivers a different set of frequencies. And bass and treble or graphic equaliser results would be interesting.
Thanks for your good and easy English from a non-English speaker 👍🙏
I think it was in the top 3 of the ones you tested.
My friend wanted this but she asked if it was worth the price. Based on your review, it seems not. What would you say best value speaker in this price range?
I love the look and color scheme though…
On my PC's audio monitor system (DSP'd to produce as flat as possible a response at my listening position), the UBoom L sounded the best of them all. IMO it would have to cost less than that to be competitive, much less if it doesn't have the same or better IP rating.
That's a good point about the cost to performance. In my ears at the recording the uboom was pretty good though I still liked the JBL morem
@@DannyPops I dunno, to me the Uboom's bass sounded better, more solid, and the JBL's highs sounded a bit splashy. Both however definitely sounded better than the Polaroid P2. The Micro 2 also put up a decent showing, when you take its size into consideration. I've got a Micro 2 and it definitely sounds better than what you'd expect a speaker the size of a small hamburger to sound. And as you've included in this comparison, it's a point of reference that I'm familiar with. I might end up purchasing the Uboom L for the same reason.
@Brian Steele Uboom L is amazing really nothing comes close if you want a pure sound, 60$ ✨️
At least 1 test with sound comparison. I mean there are many videos of these but no real sound tests.. lol.
I really like the design but I think I dont need this. Thanks!
Hi Danny love your channel Aiwa have come back into the Bluetooth speaker market give them a look I've just bought one it's fantastic sound for its size it's called Aiwa everywhere 10watts RMS I think you'll be surprised
Well if you look only because of the brand and the Polaroid name it is interesting to see a speaker for the design itself is different thing if people really wanted that to Polaroid continue to do this they are buy it not to much because of the quality of sound in that department is enough for a kid for example. If they are successful I think they will improve sound quality for the next generation of that particular model itself. The design of the product is gorgeous and colourful retro Iike it a lot. From Portugal very far from another galaxy I am kidding.
And the search continues for the quality wireless Bluetooth speaker. Downside of each speaker is another ecosystem required. Marshall, Sonos, Echo all have their own proprietary ecosystem. So done with all them. And honestly, none are all that for sound quality. At best, a compromise in sound quality. At worst, having to add yet another ecosystem on top of everything else. Thanks, Danny. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks caelen! Happy turkey day!
All speakers feature some sort of compromise in sound quality :-). I think you quickly hit the point of diminishing returns however when the aim is to produce a BT speaker of such a small size as the P2 that is affordable enough to be attractive to the market that the manufacturer is targeting. However, I don't think the P2 has reached that point. Two Micro 2s will take up basically the same space as a P2, and I'll bet will probably sound better.
I wish we could put Earfun’s sound into the Polaroid’s body
I think the little P1 is a better buy because it’s cheaper and nobody really needs those ultra compact speakers to sound amazing.
I just purchased this speaker for $15. It hasn’t arrived yet. When it does I’ll let you know whether it’s worth it ☺️
a second hand one i bet?
@@dazlao2155 that must’ve felt good to say ☺️
I think you have a bit of bias towards sound profiles in speakers. V shape is fine, but I think you overemphasized the "mids" in the speaker although it's just neutral, which is the best for all types of music. It probably feels like it's super "middy" compared to other speakers, but that's just because they all have drastic V shaped sound curves.
To be fair, I'm listening to a crude sound test through your mic, through my phone speakers. Can't really judge that. I have to hear it in person. Although to me it does seem like it's priced okay, maybe with a little "polaroid" tax, but not too terrible.
00:37 polaroid camera’s :p
I heard it in person and I’m not impressed with the sound. But it’s cute.
Super grippy
That Marshall sounds like it's on the bottom of a cushioned bucket.
hell nah get the B&O P2
I would rather get the Vifa City
the jbl sound much better
Thank you sir. That's not a speaker 🔇 much less a Bluetooth speaker.
