Thank you for sharing your mental health struggles. I am so very happy for you that you are better with meds and therapy. So many of us suffer with mental health issues and many suffer in silence. My heart goes out to your. Knitting and creativity are a great help with mental health issues, I'm glad that knitting is therapeutic for you. I have read how knitting is therapeutic.
Oh, my gosh! You've only been knitting for two years??? Amazing! You did a great job on this video, too! 👏👏👏 Congratulations on taking charge of your mental health, too. Thank you for sharing your story.
You’re a fast knitter! ❤It’s great you’re talking about your mental health, you never know who it’s going to reach and they get help too! I have multiple sclerosis and knitting helps keep me going! Your projects are beautiful.
This is the first of your videos that I have watched and you are amazing. 2 years of knitting and able to complete a sweater in 10 days is simply awesome. Embracing knitting so wholeheartedly is definitely great therapy. Thank you for sharing your diagnosis of bipolar. I had a good friend in school who struggled with it and would be off and on the medication which was not good. Having a good therapist alongside your knitting is just the thing that will help you manage this. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more of your content. ❤
I’m so glad RUclips recommended you. Your work is beautiful. Thanks for sharing the bipolar diagnosis. Mental health is like physical health and we need both treated the same. ESP culturally. I’m African too and I know therapy isn’t a thing with our people. All the best. I had a lot of anxiety with having teens then over covid that went into overdrive. I picked up knitting then as a way to relax amongst other things and it was the best thing ever.
Girl! You did an awesome job! Love this first podcast! I love your sweaters! Holy crap! 10 days to knit a sweater!? You are amazing! Watching your podcast is like chatting with a friend! Great start! I can't wait to see more!❤
I’m glad to find your channel. I’ve been looking for more podcasters of color. Can’t wait to see more from you. I have 2 cable patterns in my library that I want to try, the Dornie and the Eclair Raglan. Also your hair is gorgeous! ❤
The Agnete cardigan - go for it! It's a beautiful and interesting knit. I just completed mine also in green. I used Woolyknit sage green and also drops dark green mohair. Since you knit so fast, I can see you completing yours in a couple weeks. :) Thanks so much for being open to share about your mental health struggles and your road to recovery. So many of us struggle in silence and I'm glad the world is changing where it is now okay to discuss this topic. Your knits are so inspiring and I could not help but follow you on IG.
Thank you for a great show, Joyin. No reason to be nervous that I can see - you’re a natural! Thanks also for sharing your own mental health issues and diagnosis and for being willing to open a discussion. My dearest wish is that the more people open up and talk about mental health issues, the more it becomes a medical issue to be treated rather than something to be ashamed of.

Oh yeah I have a few of her patterns on my list. I think I’ll be casting on a few of them later this year.
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you! 😊
Just found your channel, and I’m enjoying your podcasts. Your jumpers are amazing!

I would baste the zipper in by hand to keep it in place. Pins distort the fabric.
Such a good idea. Thank you!!
There's a tutorial on RUclips for putting in a zipper in knit sweater.
I've seen a few of those. I just need to stop being lazy and do it.
