It’s so sad to see so many young males murdered by the streets. As a mother of 6, I have always wondered why a parent would stay in cities with high crime rate.
I think many of them, especially the single mothers, stick around because of the family connections that's basically their support system. If you move to a new city, you move away from the aunties, grandmas, uncles etc. that would be there to help with the child-rearing and support.

It’s so sad to see so many young males murdered by the streets. As a mother of 6, I have always wondered why a parent would stay in cities with high crime rate.
I think many of them, especially the single mothers, stick around because of the family connections that's basically their support system. If you move to a new city, you move away from the aunties, grandmas, uncles etc. that would be there to help with the child-rearing and support.
