As you stated cyber security is not somebody who just comes in with a certification, but it those who had special skill sets whether it be self learn military, but have been in this industry for an extended period of time. I grew up listening and watching people, who grew as cyber sec professionals. I saw the praise and respect oscp got. Then came HTB, THM, TCM!! I started with THM, dreaming of getting into Cyber security, got into the trap of CEH, did PCAP, passed ISC2's CC, did lots of THM. Got into cyber sec, again switched job, became cyber sec engineer. I stll do THM, exploring PNPT. OSCP is cool. Really awesome content. But the price is sky high. Same is with their entry level cert. As far as knowledge is concerned, believe me, THM and HTB are mor than sufficient and they cover way much more things beyond the scope of OSCP.

$899 for a beginner cert....OFFSec can Sec OFF.
I'm sorry but there's no justification for that price. Can get in line with EC Council with that kind of model.

Well said. Also, it just doesn't hold the weight that CompTIA does worldwide. Yes, they have loads of certifications but that's why they are the go to option. They are progressive, you can learn for free with all the info out there and just do an exam. Even if you pay, beginner ones are still cheaper than 800 notes.

I have been watching so many videos, reading and researching. I am a little bit obsessed to be honest. This course sounds perfect for me to get the foundational knowledge that I so desperately seek. Thank you for the opportunity to win a spot.
As an aside, I have a 13 year old who has also caught the bug and super keen to start learning now before leaving school. So many of the courses seem to be aimed at adults, could you please do a video to recommend some learning for teenagers who want to pursue cybersecurity as a career? School will offer IT and cybersecurity courses from next year but we are keen to learn as much as we can and to get a head start.

HackTheBox only wants $200 for the CPTS (!) modules and $490 for a full subscription package including both the modules *and* the exam, and that's for their highest-level cert with the same practical / hands-on exam methodology that OSCP has. So why is OffSec asking for double what HTB is asking for their senior-level cert just to get their entry-level cert despite having the same goal of actually emulating real-world experience during examination in mind? Makes absolutely no sense.

While certifications are nice to have, they can be obtained gradually as you progress in your career and have the financial means.
