This is one of the worst opening statements I’ve ever seen from a prosecutor. The opening statement did not specify what the underlying issue was, and the there was too much irrelevant information presented.

The state demanded to stop Livestream of the trial after the first two weeks of star testimony resulted in every Single witness saying they had no evidence of the defendants committing any crimes (beyond a traffic violations one defendants gf committed with getting too much tint on her windows)... 🙄
I started following this case in March and got the inclination today to go back and watch the opening statements to try and get an idea of what exactly the State’s case is supposed to to be able…. And whew this explains a lot. From DAY ONE Love’s been unprepared, sneaky as f* doing underhanded stuff and the judge let her get away with it. Fulton County y’all need to look back on this and see the monster you’ve created!! Your prosecutors look inept and corrupt because your judges ALLOW it and it’s probably happened forever but it’s only noticed in this big case purely because of the HIGH CALIBER OF DEFENSE ATTORNEYS these men were lucky enough to have representing them. Steel, Schardt, Adams, Weinstein, Harvey, and Matthews are all EXCELLENT!!! I really like Ms. A’bassi and the lady who stood in for her a couple times (wish I knew her name!) too, she just has not made a lot of appearances yet. And also, I don’t dislike her for what she did trying to make them pay her more either.. $15,000 for this case?! Yeah right. Who can live on that?!
He could have set the tone for the trial right then and there. Instead he let Love get away with not following the rules and it's been downhill since then.

These days people won’t that wow feeling and want to be able to say I wouldn’t want to get cross examined by her after the opening statement. I don't understand why pictures are allowed in opening statements at all. I thought documents and pictures had to have a foundation laid BEFORE they are shown to the jury. So the prior ruling that "we'll deal with it when it comes up" any reasonable lawyer would expect to occur during the evidentiary stage, NOT during opening statements. WTF is going on with these lawyers.

Generally, you can use a photo in opening if you have a good faith basis to believe it will be admitted into evidence.
