Lil Woody Becomes Infuriated, Fires His Attorney During Testimony in Young Thug Trial

  • Tuesday was the 89th day of the Young Thug trial, where Lil Woody, real name Kenneth Copeland, continued to take the stand. Copeland began his testimony by discussing his relationship with the defendant, Young Thug, real name Jeffery Williams. However, tensions rose in the courtroom, leading to Copeland firing his attorney on the spot.

    Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
