Hi Christina, i took up golf bout 30 years ago and have gone through several coaches through the years. Have also been watching and analyzing online instructions for additional tips. Frankly most of their sharings are just part of a wider equation or sum of the parts. Until I watched your videos. Amazingly, your instructions and demos are simple yet effective. You have made it easy for casual golfers to relate and understand the "Whys" and the "Hows" to fix it their challenges. You are awesome and I truely appreciate the generous tips and advice! Thank You so much! Anthony Singapore
Finally, Harvey Pennick's MAGIC MOVE explained properly. I knew about the elbow but not the rotation. That's why I was getting stuck and pulling to the left or hooking. THank you so much. Cant wait to be on the range tomorrow.
Because of age and Arthritis, I had to change from a one-plane to two-plane (more upright) swing. It's heartening that you also include advice for those of us less likely to get that elbow in front. This is a great channel! You're my new favorite YT golf guru.
Wow! That was a great break down! I have a flat swing and I get stuck. The side bend will help me tremendously! Just working on it with no club felt way smoother. I cant wait to add that tip and some others mentioned in this video!
My new golf mantra will be "side bend & rotation"!!!! Thank you from Canada for pointing out many of my swing faults. lol I am sure many people have the same issues as you pointed out in this video. Golfing tomorrow as it got warm here and I will try to incorporate this. Also thanks for mentioning Brooke Henderson....a great Canadian golfer!!!!!
I recently locked at a article about hitting full shots with both irons and woods that gave me a feel for the "magic move". When looking at the ball concentrate on a spot 4 inches in front of the ball and and 4 inches to the right of the target line. On the down swing pull the butt end of handle towards that spot. With this move the club will come from the inside and allow the wrist to release. Always had a problem with over the top swing. This changed that.
Your instructions are incredibly clear and well explained. I watched this video twice and I will watch it again....so fundamentally sound. IMO, this video can be used for each club. Thanks.
Hi Christina, I really believe you just gave me the elusive ‘magic move’. I haven’t actually hit balls yet with it, but I went out in the yard as soon as I finished watching this video of yours about not getting the trail elbow stuck. The key for me is the external shoulder rotation from the top. The path through the grass looks perfect, slightly from the inside, consistently. Thanks, excited about trying it.
The move comes naturally for me when I think of skipping a stone, I notice everything gets out of the way for my right arm and I notice my foot work is very natural too…I feel powerful using the stone skipping thought…love your vids thanks!
I really like the way you present what to do and common mistakes. Both are good reference points. It helps to figure out what could be causing the less than stellar strikes. Keep up the great work you are doing.
This was a really helpful explanation. People talk about rotating, amd turning left, but my interpretation of that was always rotating my hips. I never thought of engaging my obliques, or how they too need to rotate. You really do a great job explaining this
Excellent! I like the fact that you don't try to require everyone to get the trail elbow in front. I have a rather large pot belly that makes that very difficult for me.
Gotta tell Ms. R, for a Red Sox fan, I think you are such a special instructor! “Pithy!!,” Yep! That’s what I’m going with! Thank You! Hope to buy ya a Sam Adams should our paths cross!
Wow, this is the lesson I needed. I played a lot of baseball when I was younger and took up golf about 10 years ago. I have been trying to get rid of the baseball swing forever and realized I didn’t know where to put my trailing arm, or what to do with it. I have been watching your videos and have one of your books and click with your teaching style. This video really helps me, thank you for posting it. A+
Educated hands can cure this as well. Bowing lead wrist at top or on down swing or another way to think is supinating the trail wrist causes the trail shoulder and elbow to get into the correct position. Turn the door know with trail hand. Right handers turn the door knob with right hand clockwise. Left handers turn left hand counter clockwise.
Hi Christina great video my trail elbow will never be stuck behind me again. And i am also thrilled you mentioned and pointed at our lead side obliques rotating throughout our downswing and as you know actually stops us at the end of our swing. But shouldn’t our obliques works together and yet opposite from the other? Would it help then if I started my downswing first with crunching my trail side obliques? I continue to love reading your new books and will take them on the course this spring. Cheers
Nice Job. Christina! Nice job, indeed! Comment: Maybe add to your check list at the end, 1:43 External Rotation of Trail Shoulder, which you mentioned in the body of the video! Take care and stay safe in these challenging times! Liked and subscribed!
She's a very good teacher, more should be like her instead of teachers saying after a few bad swings ..good keep it up. I see that too often at lessons.
In the very beginning of video, you showed the swings of a couple of whom I assume are pros. Are they known PGA/LPGA pros? It was so quick I couldn't recognize them if they are (was the guy Matt Wolfe?). Who were they? Especially the female, as she seemed to generate incredible power. I'd like to see more of that swing.
@@MorePars Thanks! Funny thing is, I'm a guy (and a senior), and I think I learn more from looking at swings of LPGA players than PGA players. After all, I don't expect to hit it 350 yards like Bryson, but I'd like to hit it 250 yards like some of the little girls on the LPGA tour can hit it!
Congratulations Babe, your the first instructor to talk for 9 minutes about tucking the Elbow, or the trail Elbow, or dont get the Elbow stuck without mentioning BEN HOGAN.

To have confidence in a coach the need to knowledgeable and look the part. You cover all these bases. That is why I follow you. Cheers

Love the accent - the Fran "The Nanny" Drescher of the golf world. Oh, yeah, golf instruction is primo, too.

great lesson... easy to understand ..
Of all the lessons I've seen and lessons I've taken from famous pros, this simple explantion is the best! Thank you!
You know what you are doing.
And you are very right
Thanks so much

Fantastic to hear. Baseball swing has some similarities to the golf swing. I am glad that you recognize that as a baseball player!
Thanks for your lessons👍
Sensational instruction
Had the best driver day I have had in years today because of you! Do you have a golf school?
Wow! Thanks Christina, you've nailed it, this is exactly my issue, you've opened the door to how I can fix them.
You are so welcome!
I Love your Videos!
Awesome video. Thank you.
Great lesson Christina! Nice swing you have, by the way.
Great teaching
Sternum behind the driver head, excellent tip!
Well Done - don't need to do it a certain way - just don't get stuck... Thank You!

Is it okay to focus on your buttons on your shirt for getting a good turn in the back swing?
Excellent!!
Great topic. How do you transition the trail elbow from being bent on down swing to triangle”/pendulum form at impact and follow through. Thanks!
Very well explained. Any recommendations on rotation drills?
Practicing the trail arm in front... is there a great drill to keep from driving club into ground behind ball?

Matt Wolff and Maria Fassi (one of my fave swings - super power move)

This Fantastic...
How and where can I get an in person lesson...?
what do you mean by "engage the obliques"?
Do you setup with the right elbow tucked in?
I tend to have a flat backswing, especially with longer clubs. Are you saying that I should not attempt to cock the wrists till near end of backswing?
What do you do if you are a little portly and there is just not that much room to get your elbow in front?
How far away from the ball should you stand?
Hi..Can you show me the perfect takeaway...to the top of the swing...Please?
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 brilliant.
So, then can we say that those whose elbow is not in front have not rotated their hips enough? Thank you
I’d put her in the octagon against a lot of the TOUR guys, my girl is #Jacked !!!!
Who is that golfer driving at 1:06?
Maria Fassi. She has a powerful swing. One of my favorites!
@@MorePars thank you so much.
Smart and beautiful ❤
Does this tip apply to irons as well as the Driver?
Yes - absolutely. Same principles.
It's got to be all of that sequenced with a ton of practice.
Hey I'll be taking a 4 session package with Danny Kish i call it a tuneup any thoughts and about Danny?
You'll be in great hands with Danny. He is excellent!
00:54 who's that?
Great content ! You are a gorgeous woman and very wise.
Thank you
Thank you! 😊
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I have to get out and practice this WITH VIDEO for the simple reason that feel is not real.
Congratulations Babe, your the first instructor to talk for 9 minutes about tucking the Elbow, or the trail Elbow, or dont get the Elbow stuck without mentioning BEN HOGAN.
you need some more width and "separation lift" off the ground grandma...lol
Stop stiffing your left knee at impact keep the flex a little longer before you post up!!!!
What's hotter than an attractive, smart, well spoken woman, who can hit the shit out of a golf ball?
Give it a rip. What are those gaiter scarves around your ankles....I think, a girl can get some speed with those coozies...nice...
Excellent. Could help but notice how ripped you are
Thanks
