You are so good at imparting your knowledge. I have followed you for sometime and thanks to you I now play of a 1 handicap @76 years of age.Thankyou ..
Dude I’ve been bingeing your videos of weeks now. I’m in San Diego and grew up playing The Farms through my dad (retired head pro)… I NEED to get a lesson with you Adam. The way you teach is so simple and easy to comprehend. Really appreciate you putting these clips out to the public and helping us all along the journey
Finally I stumbled across a video that made sense. Best Golf video I have seen. Thank you sir for taking the time to make this available. Greetings from France.
Once again another fantastic lesson- I struggle with this all the time, it really pays to have a second pair eyes looking at you and having that hands on approach.
I’ve been going through your back catalog of videos and trying bits out at the range. Keeping things in front of my body at takeaway and at the top has probably done more to improve my quality of strike and it’s reliability than any in person lesson I’ve ever taken. It baffles me why the instructors that I’ve had lessons with haven’t touched on it.
Game changer for me. After watching Porzak's videos on setup (hip bump), grip, and stance I was feeling ok but still lacked connection with my body. This video brought it together and I see how I am supposed to get in the correct position. Still struggling a bit with transitioning down (much weaker hits, but accurate) so those are the next videos!. Thank you for detail explanation and examples.
Seriously he is the best teacher on youtube. No comparison in teaching. One day I will get a lesson. Just keep doing what your doing, you have to get a lot of satisfaction teaching the young players. Some are just amazing. Your swing reminds me of Anthony Kims and Adam Scott had a baby golf swing! Keep it up!!!!!!
Thank you so much! We have a lot in store for 2023 for you guys! We absolutely love working with “the boys”. Funny you say that, Adam and Anthony shared lessons as juniors from Adam Shriber a great coach!
Excellent vid. I think the key is as you mentioned "elbow tucked but not tight." Absolutely have got to keep the swing relaxed and athletic while maintaining the proper spacing.
Simple, honest, and effective theory, and never drops so many swing thoughts in a lesson that you need a shrink immediately after to sort it out. If that isn’t enough, you also get a pretty 🔥 robot 🤖🕺 laid down around @2:22 Well done, brother 😎
Guys, after watching a ton of y’all’s videos, I went out and played yesterday and felt the best that I have in some time. I even eagled a par 4 from 100 yards out. Ended up -1 for the day. Thanks for putting out this great content!!
@@PorzakGolf then turned around and shot my best round of -5 yesterday. Swing wasn’t there optimally but the putts were falling. 1 Eagle and 5 birdies.
I have been working on the Porzak principles with some good success but also a little frustration where I hit great shots before forgetting something or not realising that I had let something slip and regressing to old habits next time out. The key idea here for me is the right elbow doesn’t squeeze in tight ! Whenever I revisit PG I see the solution and can’t wait to get back out there as I know this stuff does it fir me every time 👍👏
Wow! We love this! Thank you for sharing! This is exactly why we do what do! To help as many people as possible play better golf and enjoy the worlds greatest game more than ever! Tell your friends!!
Love the visuals of the disconnect. For me coming in as a beginner, you see a lot of the pros really reaching back and have the toe of the club pointing at the target. Which I believe where a lot of the misconception comes when individuals attempt to do that including myself. I think having that connection with the chest is the most important lesson I've taken from your videos. Feeling like I am only using my core to turn and my arms are just a solid structure.
Very good stuff. I do think it can be a challenge to remember to keep the arms soft but close, since the fast-twitch muscle action can tempt the player to get too tight when the arms stay close. I like the set-then-pop drill as well.
Another fantastic video. Great swing from the young man. Adam, can I ask how he would progress in his swing to take a more noticeable divot after the ball. It seems he strikes it a little ‘thin’ compared to some of your other players, with little turf interaction after the ball. I’m a picker too so would love your thoughts on getting the feel of more turf interaction.
I hope you recieve this message. I LOVE all your videos. Watched everyone. I have one question though. I have a great problem of getting my lead shoulder under my chin on the takeaway. Anything in your arsenal to get me to do this or is it that not important. I'm a right handed golfer.
Incredible stuff as always. Great explanation of the takeaway and back swing. Especially what to do with the right arm at set up. It looks like you are holding your wrist position until very late in the follow through. Is that right ?
When going into the Set Position, we maintain that position with minimal tension in the hands then we are able to rotate with the lead hip going straight back.
@@PorzakGolf So kind of the dead hands feeling you speak about in other videos and the wrists stay pretty set without consciously trying to hold them like that? They eventually just naturally release very late near the very end of the follow through ?
Yes I’m looking through the videos and I’m not seeing anything detailed on the hand release, or "cracking the whip”everything is pretty much about body rotation, what are the hand’s doing through impact? Isn’t most speed created with the hands? The body can only turn so fast.
Can this drill be formatted in a way to work with woods and driver as well or how can you implement this technique with a longer swing and different leverage
Adam, What is your position regarding the exhausting oxygen from your diaphragm, before making your swing.?. I have brought this into my game 1.Ifeel relaxed just before my swing. 2. Youare not fighting the diaphragm, so you get extra club speed through the swing and shot.Iam I right. It feels good.Gary Trethewey Nz.
Hey Adam quick question.... regarding keeping hands in front of the chest at completion of the back swing: do you feel ( or is it a feeling) of the inside of the right wrist is mostly facing our target / feet line? From the front view it looks as though the inside of your right wrist is facing towards the camera... ?
that is exact my problem. I have never been able to set mit hands really and keeping them in front of my chest. My backswing is only arms, with bow instead of setting wrist and my chest just stay centered and arms getting behind. So a very unusual swing, but manage to play for hcp 2. What is the best drill to turn chest together with arms
I have a problem with an extra little pull with my right arm at the top of the backswing. Like everything else has stopped but there’s always extra movement due to my right hand/arm. Any tips on how to stop this?
Hey there! These tips for trail elbow and arm connection do apply with all clubs. Just remember, when hitting driver the set up is different from striking with an iron. We have several driver set up videos that would be helpful to you!
Does the right elbow needs to be connected to the bottom of ribcage as club travels to the top of the back swing? There is a disconnect when the hands are at waist-high. What about the left elbow? I assume at some point there is a disconnect of the left elbow but left bicep/tricep is closely connected to the side of the left breast for a right hander?
There should be space between the trail elbow and the rib cage. If we hold our elbow against the side of our body, our swing will be restricted 🚫. A drill that we like to do is put a head cover in the front of the right arm pit. This will create more connection with the arms and elbows in front of our body. Let us know if you have further questions! Thank you!
At the top of his swing his bicep is practically pinned under his chin. My arms literally won't move like that. Is there a way to still swing a club with limited shoulder mobility?
Hi, Adam Can you post your clothing shop online contact details. Always notice your clothing presentation. Maybe he may have something for me. Gary Trethewey NewZealand. Thanks.
I think you’re the best golf coach on the planet. Congratulations on your success.
Appreciate that!
agree👌
Hard to disagree with
Having a hard time not watching the videos and feeling I’ll actually be able to apply what he teaches, and simply

Best value 9 minutes I’ve ever seen. I still struggle with the final turn being body not arms

Great video. This one swing tip has revolutionized my iron game.
Great content as always, you seem to pick up the main faults in swings then you’re explanations are excellent, cause and effect with the cure..

What an excellent instructional video- your explanations are just so easy to understand and follow
Thank you! We believe that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication!
excellent description of something i have been working on and has helped me.
This lesson is me in a nutshell and my 2023 goal to try and implement it. 35yrs of an overswing, collapsing of my trail arm. Thanks for the vid
Let’s go we got you!
Such great information in this video. It took me a long time to figure out these things on my own
Tour striker smart ball is great for externally rotating your trail arm
I've saved most of your vids, to recall. At times ppl ask me at the range for tips, al just pass them ur vids from now, great stuff 👏👏👏
Thanks for doing that Gordon!

Excellent lesson. Nails the backswing process. Thank you.
Cheers
Thank you Peter
Gold, thanks Adam.
Can you give us the grip close up, as you and many decent strikers seem to turn the left wrist on grip to the right.
This video is coming soon!!

Awesome vid and tips 👍
We appreciate it Jason!

Great video! Is the left arm also in the “giving blood” position at address?
Ben hogan certainly did! It can vary slighty player to player, right arm most important to give blood with!
One of your videos you talked about a training aid you had coming out to keep the arms connected better. Where would one find this training aid?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great lesson
I just favorite every golf video lol
Thank you for the support!

keep the thumb pads married together at the same pressure an tension throughout
this keeps the elbows from deviating all over

You could start with a towel under both arms for wedges. This is a great one too!

Ben Hoogan had a quite wide elbow width at setup that was not what he described in his book. How is that?
Same with woods/driver?
I'm having trouble with topping or thin hits

After hand infront of our chest by turning chest everything is set to do down swing...which part of our body to move of down swing...
How do I book an in person lesson?
