I'd sell him... In a flash... It's funny how docile player's come to life just before a transfer window!!! 5 matches ago, we were screaming to get him off the pitch!!!
👏🏻 well said Brian Clough. And also the spirit within the camp is huge and a lot to do with Elanga who is able to speak with all teammates due to his language skills.
Elanga a month ago was struggling. Now he is playing with confidence, scoring goals, and defends, attacks and scores. I think he is a popular member of the squad - why disrupt everything?
It’s clear the squad togetherness is massive right now, why on earth would you want to risk that by selling Elanga? Crazy! Attracting an established striker in Jan is a huge task with Wood obv 1st choice. If Omobamidele goes out on loan then need to keep Boly around as back up to Milenkovic with Morato covering Murillo. Zach Abbott may need to stick around as well as 5th choice. New contracts for certain players and maybe a young Portuguese or Brazilian striker ✅
I find myself agreeing with Mikey , would be madness to sell any of our core players at this stage, January is the wrong time to change a winning team.
Right now, I'd rather get Aina and Wood signed up, than buy anyone in Janauary. YES, we need another No.9....but as I say my worry is both decided to stay till May and then leave on Frees.
I have been saying it for a while about Ola. Look at his track record, that's how we got him on a free. Pardon the comparison but if you take a partner while they are still in a relationship most of the time how you gain them is how you lose them. I am desperate for him to stay like most but would not be surprised if he goes.
@@ForestFan74 Only positive IF he goes to Man City, say, is that in Neco we have a very good replacement. Not quite as good - perhaps 90% as good ? What I don't want though is him demanding to be one of our top 3 paid players. RBs are quite easy to get. You get my point, I'm sure.
Massive thank you to FPL Blackbox (was it Mark?) for the gifted membership! I missed the stream live as I was asleep (I'm in NZ!) so not sure how I got selected? As a Forest fan overseas, you guys (and the other Forest RUclipsrs) provide an invaluable connection, so thanks again, and keep up the great work Matt and all your team. COYR!
There were rumours at start of season that Newcastle wanted Elanga..but I'm hoping now Mr M. realises he is our X factor whose price will be huge in another season or two..can't C him getting sold
I do wonder what Mr Clough would have thought of the hair band Elanga wears? Was the story true about sending Franz Carr out for a haircut before allowing him to sign for us?
We can't send JWP back, cos there's no return clause in his loan agreement. Besides we already have two loan players and any additional loan player have to be loan to buy.
Everyone talking about JWP like we have more options than we do. There is no recall clause apparently and he's already played for WHU this season (so can't be loaned out to another EPL club). WHU need pace in midfield and the current manager got rid of him. Why would they take him back when we paid a significant loan fee, and are paying his full wages?
Ferguson should go to Wet Sham. I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. We have produced 2 similar players in our Academy: Ben Brereton and Oliver Burke. Neither delivered after great debut seasons. We need to buy a proper striker, not injured, with a goal scoring record.

If Ferguson wouldnt have such terrible injury record id like him . But we dont need another Taiwo Awoniyi
Weve built a team that is comfortably in the top 4. Its so stupid to be a supply line for the cartel 6. Last time we were 3rd we sold stan collymore. How did that work out? The brentford or brighton model of money ball means ultimately you work for other clubs. Liverpool could afford to by MGW just to weaken forest. NO!!
But you have to sell someone due to PSR each year. Last summer it was niakhate and mangala so you'd hope you can keep selling players who are good but not your best.
Five games ago Elanga was the most docile player on the pitch... Isn't it funny how player's who're known for dragging their feet, suddenly come to life before a transfer window?? Just saying... If he was any good..... He'd still be at Varchester United!!!!
Please no Ferguson he's the most overrated Irish youngster i think I've ever seen. He doesn't score enough goals to be labelled as a center forward. He's a good footballer but he is not a finisher, surely if we are spending upwards of 20 plus million for someone to push chris wood, they need to know how to put the ball in the back of the net, and ferguson does not
I see where you are coming from but he's only 20, who better to learn from how to improve his finishing than Wood? Then again I have green tinted glasses and would like to have a few more Irish in the squad.
Personally I'd take him, but on a loan with a option to a deal if it works. What is he 20yrs old, great potential, if Nuno performs his magic like he did with Wood then why not?
@@PaulWhelan-yb9uf just not for me Paul, if he didn't burst onto the scene as a youngster with form he would have half the low tally of goals he's already got. He has failed to find any sort of form and consistency for a while now and he's not a natural finisher. Considering Brighton would want upwards of 20 million for him, there's far better options out there then this guy
Premier League clubs can expect to earn approximately £1.7m per place for their UK merit place and just over £1.4m for the international merit payment totalling £3.1m. Mikey made a bold (and incorrect) assertion. European football obviously is a big generator the following year.
Exactly. Elanga is still young and no where near reaching his potential and has huge influence in dressing room with his popularity and able to speak many languages. Just on IG you can see he’s good friends with Aina + CHO but also went on NY break with MGW, Neco & Elliot. And the panel are thinking of breaking that up? Madness.
I'm not selling them, I'm just saying £50m is a lot of money if it means you don't have to sell Murillo, Gibbs-White or another key man in the summer and you have a good replacement lined up. I've defended Elanga pretty relentlessly all season when some people would have sold him for £15m so just saying you can't dismiss massive offers out of hand for any player.
@@Forest-Focus you can in January. Also Murillo being sold isn’t all down to us. He’s a bonus player so will probably be sold in the summer if he wants to go & a massive club comes in for him with a £60m+ offer. Also ppl selling Elanga for £15m are not serious and shouldn’t be taken as such.
@@Forest-FocusMurillo, MGW are more likely to stay if Forest make Champions League and that would only happen if they keep Elanga and all other key players. £50m won’t make a difference if they make top 4-6 as the extra prize money covers that £50m compared to only £12m for finishing 17th 😂
Elanga is one of our most dangerous and effective players and he's still very much learning. Anyone suggesting we sell him need locking up.

Gutted if Elanga goes, not so keen on Ferguson to be honest.
Ureds.
It's quite telling that Nuno has tried a few different formations and hasn't chosen JWP since September.

Keep the team together. They will stay for European football x

Love Ferguson
But Elanga is an X-Factor player.
Inconsistent, poor awareness, but when he's on fire he's electric...
...the new Franz Carr!
I do wonder what Mr Clough would have thought of the hair band Elanga wears? Was the story true about sending Franz Carr out for a haircut before allowing him to sign for us?
Why would we sell Elanga ?
From the article in the Telegraph, possibly if the club get a crazy offer.

Good point about him playing for two clubs already.
we cant sell gibbswhite, murillo ,elanga anderson !Liverpool and chelsea are our rivals now ,so we CANT sell to them
I watch every Dallas game and live in Dallas, Petra Musa is a quality talent. Who would suit us well.
Thanks Thomas. Good to hear that as I wasn't too excited when I saw the link.
Kylie Walker-Peters for me please. Kid is playing way above his teams level.
Angel Gomes and Jonathan David would be immense signings and a big show of intent.
No amount of money is enough this team has only played half a season having had only1 pre season with Nuno
If we're redeveloping the ground then we need to reduce debt to help with interest payments with APT rules so very sensible from Marinakis.
Totally agree with Mikey. Team spirit is invaluable and can't be bought. No prima donnas please.

Who makes or suggests these decisions, it's a big NO.
Why are we actually talking about these transfers? They are never going to happen. MGW, Elanga? right now? It's laughable. hahaha :)
That's basically what we say to be fair Jason. I agree unless a huge offer comes in for Elanga.
@@Forest-Focuswhats a huge offer that you’d accept for Elanga? 🤦🏻♂️
There’s a really good Colombian striker at São Paulo
Go for him 💯
Football "insider" knows FA!!!
with the 82m debt converted to shares, being able to lose the same amount as other prem teams this time around is psr still a threat?
Hi Roddy. I'm not privy to inside info but I'd be really surprised and disappointed if we had any PSR issues with the latest accounts.
Stick with Awoniyi, I can't see us getting anyone better in January knowing they'll be second choice to Chris Wood
don't sell anyone; buy a decent striker and a midfielder
Not sure we need a midfielder myself unless it's a top class defensive one we send jwp back

As far as I'm aware he's had a couple of great games but isn't consistent. I don't see why we should develop someone else's player.
I’m Irish but even though I’m biased I don’t think he’s an upgrade on Taiwo. Taiwo looks fit and raring to go. Just needs some minutes.
