Great interview. Those of us who haven’t just jumped on the Premier League bandwagon had very fond memories of this time and it was good to hear all about it.
The Forest side at the minute remind me of us in the Championship under Billy. Well organised, solid defensively, pace on the wings, and that feeling of going into any game, home or away knowing there's a chance you could come away with something today
Great manager billy be good see him back in management and under our new owner I have no doubt he would of got us back in the big time, good luck King Billy ❤
Well done for getting the interview Max. I have no idea if most of Billy's stories are 'under embargo' until his show in Nottingham inn 2025, as he was very cagey about most things. What i will say after watching this is that Billy hasn't changed a bit since being sacked in 2014....and that's not really a positive! Seemingly derailing his career completely in his second disastrous spell at Forest, it's telling that he's still not trusted by owners and CEO's all over the UK football pyramid being as he is unemployed for 10 years. I remember him doing interviews pre-pandemic when he stated that there was seemingly a 'media conspiracy theory' against him getting work, which is 'peak Davies' style talk. I want to watch this interview again as i noted that when he talked about successful periods in his Forest career, he used the word 'I', but when talking about the negative times he always says 'they' or 'them', as in blaming others not himself. Great times with Billy for the first time as a manager but went totally pear-shaped for the second.
Billy asked me where I stood in the CG. I told him A Block and he gave me a handshake and a pat on the back, "Proper fans" he said. A real footballing man, King Billy
Billys severance money must be running low. Don't get me wrong, we had great times at Forest under his management, but some crazy, unnecessary drama also. Would be interesting to see him managing again.
Definitely agree with that. He’s his own worst enemy. The fact he’s not managed since 2014 says a lot about what club owners think about him. He said a few years ago how he was ready to get back in the game. I don’t buy this ‘I’ve got my enthusiasm back’ stuff. He plays the martyr and victim all the time and people see through it. Saying that, we had some great times under him but the circus behind the scenes is just too much.
I watched this, you don’t stay away from football and walk back in, the game has changed and it’s nothing like it was 10 years ago, maybe a league 1 side down may benefit from Billy, listening to this I heard riddles and got confused, talking about magic potions i remember the interviews… we just wanted straight talk without riddles…
Great interview Max. Billy gave us all some great memories and I love the bloke. I honestly can't help but think that he lost our match on purpose against Swansea away in the playoffs to try and make a point to the board. I was there that night and his team selection was a disgrace. Things had been bubbling for months before too. Great interview, thank you
He's still angry about what he calls the 'it is what it is' chant at Burnley and Derby Unbelievable bitterness. When I was a young man , I was a big fan of Billeh, but you see now why he's been avoided for so long
I'm glad he never came back. I got grief when I didn't want him back the 2nd time. He's a liar & bragging to BFC players after the 1st leg, talk to my lawyer against Swansea, tons of staff & ex players saying he's horrible...... no...sorry Billy but go away.
My big question from this interview is does he know what impartial actually means? Joking aside, Billy came close to getting us promoted and was well liked during his first tenure. A huge shame how it ended for him. COYR
Should've pushed him a bit more. Feedback from radio notts and chippers was always that the blackout was driven by Billy and things changed massively when he came back vs when he was there before
Excellent manager. In 2013 I believe he signed a contract extension to 2017 so he was being paid up to then...so why would he have gone back in 2015?! Just get paid alot of money for doing nowt...
Divides opinion…. Derby fans don’t like him even though he took us up. As soon as he went to the Chien Rouge, its over. Personally I like his passion and like to listen to him on football.
Billy Davies is clearly trying to butter us fans up, he wants the job if anything happens to Nuno!!! Clearly. Strange how he's starting to become public all of a sudden lol.
Fawaz showed Billy that he was a fool and Billy rinsed him out. He caused chaos so bad that it leaked onto the pitch and lost us games by deliberately picking a losing team. Unforgivable and totally disrespectful to the club and supporters. Everyone deserves a second chance but this guys second chance starts at Hucknall town, and even then you better watch the petty cash. Absolute shark who turned a family club into a mini Milwall. Stood on TV and refused to talk, threw legal threats all over the place, was nothing but vile and confrontational and would have destroyed the club to save himself or fill his pockets. They were very dark days and they came about because Fawaz took him to kuwait and showed him the wealth and Ferraris. It was a stupid trusting move made of ego, naivety, and vanity and it cost Fawaz big. Billy and Jim laughed and laughed and it has taken him a decade to run out of money. Pandemics. lol What on earth does this have to do with pandemics!!! He is a disease. Academy? lol He shut it down!
Agree with a lot of what you say. Billy is decent at getting results on the pitch. But he's so damn toxic, that the club and staff around him slowly dissolve. We've seen with Cooper and Nuno, that you can have both results and integrity.
Good manager, but says it all that despite that he's been sacked by each club he's managed and no club has taken a chance on him over the years. Also saying the media blackout was nothing to do with him yet as soon as he left Fawaz actually lifted all media bans....
I can’t forgive the bloke for how much of an arse he became under his second tenure. Great interview, but not a club legend for me. Doesn’t deserve to sit at the same table as people before and after him.
Thats another thing Nuno is terrible at man management or geeing up the players. Nuno has only improved Sels absolutely no one else has improved under Nuno, everyone improved under Billy.
Remember Billy as the best manager we have had, Clark included as he had a prem squad, since Cloughie. Would love Nuno to either get the sack or bring Billy on as Attacking coach as Nuno’s coaching team is shite at attack🤷♂️COYR
Max. Great interview. I know Billy Davies and his father. Yes, he will devide supporters who followed Forest. I spent a week studying his methods during the first spell at the City Ground. I coached alongside him in the sessions he talked about away from the top flight. His attention to detail on and off the park training sessions and games was outstanding... Could he have handled the media differently in the second spell which has been highlighted?... Only he can answer that. There is a saying in football coaching " Fail to Prepare, Prepare to Fall." I never witnessed that.
Great interview. Those of us who haven’t just jumped on the Premier League bandwagon had very fond memories of this time and it was good to hear all about it.
*Of his first time. The second was complete lunacy.
Loved Billy Davis at Forest
Great interview, King Billy gave me some great memories. WBA 3-1 win away 2010 was a highlight. I was blown away with that performance.
Yeah that was peak. Great goals huge win and I thought we were unstoppable at that point.
Snow on the touchlines and a Radi wonder strike. I was there too!
Radi ❤
The Forest side at the minute remind me of us in the Championship under Billy.
Well organised, solid defensively, pace on the wings, and that feeling of going into any game, home or away knowing there's a chance you could come away with something today
What an interview for forest supporters. Well done Max 👏👏
What an amazing interview. Totally enthralled for 40 mins. King Billy.
This is excellent. Brilliant interview - great scoop Max. So good.
Great manager billy be good see him back in management and under our new owner I have no doubt he would of got us back in the big time, good luck King Billy ❤

Love this interview Max, didn’t shy away from some tough Qs. Billy is my childhood Forest - good to see him looking well 👏
i remember the davies era very well, loved having him as manager. remember him singing my programme in 2011 home to doncaster
Billy, billy give us a wave.👋 Great times , games and memories, twice. Legend.
I really enjoyed that. Nice to hear his side of events
A polarising figure but one who brought many happy memories to the club.
Yep, cracking interview and and great input from the both of yuz
Loved Billy as manager.
I loved Forest under Billy ! Some of the football we played ….. thanks for speaking to us !
Great interview, legend manager
Excellent interview! Well done Max!
Excellent interview. Max is a good interviewer 😊
Still got a soft spot fer Billy and that moment in time. 👍
King billy..he was one of our best to be fair..you reds
The interview we have all been waiting for.
Nice one, Max. Good to see Billy taking time for you again.
Billy asked me where I stood in the CG. I told him A Block and he gave me a handshake and a pat on the back, "Proper fans" he said. A real footballing man, King Billy
King Billy. Class manager
In between his two stints at forest he was like a god. I remember a game where he was in the gantry and he got a standing ovation
Fantastic interview. Must watch! 👏
Great podcast lad👍

Exceptional interview and scoop 👋
Billy was a great manager for us !! Great interview!!
The word great is vastly overused. He was decent.
Billy Davies is a fantastic football manager. Hope he is back in the game again very soon.
Juicy! I always wondered what Billy's side of the story was.
Loved him at Forest, gutted he couldnt get us up.
Clough did ❤ but then again Mr clough had balls of steel! Clough was the gaffa end of! The man the legend 🥰
He'll always be king billy to me.
This is gooooooddddd
Good stuff Max, growing up buddy…
That first Billy side was some team , really should have been promoted that year.
He's looking forward to seeing Natalie Jackson in February.
Max hayse.
I miss matchdays with ya.
great to see you fullfiling life.
sed before . Ill say again , sky sports regular soon.
why were some bits cut to shreds? 21.39 for e..g

Billy Davis top man
I loved billy but regardless he ruined his own reputation, his football was my childhood and will never forget it

Enjoyed Forest under Billy, great manager with passion
His name is Wood!!!!!!
His meticulous analysis of players names 😂
Excellent manager. In 2013 I believe he signed a contract extension to 2017 so he was being paid up to then...so why would he have gone back in 2015?! Just get paid alot of money for doing nowt...
Nicky shore loan away from automatic promotion
Divides opinion…. Derby fans don’t like him even though he took us up. As soon as he went to the Chien Rouge, its over. Personally I like his passion and like to listen to him on football.
I love academy stuff 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Billy Davies is clearly trying to butter us fans up, he wants the job if anything happens to Nuno!!! Clearly. Strange how he's starting to become public all of a sudden lol.
King Billy
Someone count the spoons when he leaves.
🎶Billy Davies is a red🎶
🎶He hates Derby🎶

@@jonathantalks7 Because of family health issues, pandemics etc 🤥
Pathological liar still 😅its not even spin, but it comes out so easily. What a dangerous man@KeinanNFFC
Press embargo, he leaves & then press are back. Give up Billy ..... Shocking
now here is a good manager king billy coyr
Would make a good head coach somewhere if he kept absolutely out of everything else.
I can’t forgive the bloke for how much of an arse he became under his second tenure. Great interview, but not a club legend for me. Doesn’t deserve to sit at the same table as people before and after him.
Should have asked him about his dreadful team selection for the 2nd leg against Swansea. What was that all about Billy?
He still sounds bitter
Ego maniac
An absolute disgrace and I would say so to his face...
Thats another thing Nuno is terrible at man management or geeing up the players. Nuno has only improved Sels absolutely no one else has improved under Nuno, everyone improved under Billy.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What absolute nonsense.
@@KeinanNFFC lol kiddies
What?! Nuno has also improved Wood, Yates, Williams, Aina, MGW to name just a few.
Are there Two Forests? The one you watch and the one sitting FOURTH in the Prem?
