    The Forest side at the minute remind me of us in the Championship under Billy.
    Well organised, solid defensively, pace on the wings, and that feeling of going into any game, home or away knowing there's a chance you could come away with something today

    Well done for getting the interview Max. I have no idea if most of Billy's stories are 'under embargo' until his show in Nottingham inn 2025, as he was very cagey about most things. What i will say after watching this is that Billy hasn't changed a bit since being sacked in 2014....and that's not really a positive! Seemingly derailing his career completely in his second disastrous spell at Forest, it's telling that he's still not trusted by owners and CEO's all over the UK football pyramid being as he is unemployed for 10 years. I remember him doing interviews pre-pandemic when he stated that there was seemingly a 'media conspiracy theory' against him getting work, which is 'peak Davies' style talk. I want to watch this interview again as i noted that when he talked about successful periods in his Forest career, he used the word 'I', but when talking about the negative times he always says 'they' or 'them', as in blaming others not himself. Great times with Billy for the first time as a manager but went totally pear-shaped for the second.

    Billys severance money must be running low. Don't get me wrong, we had great times at Forest under his management, but some crazy, unnecessary drama also. Would be interesting to see him managing again.

    • @edsmithandjones9356
      @edsmithandjones9356 14 дней назад +2

      Definitely agree with that. He’s his own worst enemy. The fact he’s not managed since 2014 says a lot about what club owners think about him. He said a few years ago how he was ready to get back in the game. I don’t buy this ‘I’ve got my enthusiasm back’ stuff. He plays the martyr and victim all the time and people see through it. Saying that, we had some great times under him but the circus behind the scenes is just too much.

    Fawaz showed Billy that he was a fool and Billy rinsed him out. He caused chaos so bad that it leaked onto the pitch and lost us games by deliberately picking a losing team. Unforgivable and totally disrespectful to the club and supporters.
    Everyone deserves a second chance but this guys second chance starts at Hucknall town, and even then you better watch the petty cash. Absolute shark who turned a family club into a mini Milwall. Stood on TV and refused to talk, threw legal threats all over the place, was nothing but vile and confrontational and would have destroyed the club to save himself or fill his pockets. They were very dark days and they came about because Fawaz took him to kuwait and showed him the wealth and Ferraris. It was a stupid trusting move made of ego, naivety, and vanity and it cost Fawaz big. Billy and Jim laughed and laughed and it has taken him a decade to run out of money.
    Pandemics. lol What on earth does this have to do with pandemics!!! He is a disease.
    Academy? lol He shut it down!

    • @lumirose9316
      @lumirose9316 19 дней назад +2

      Agree with a lot of what you say. Billy is decent at getting results on the pitch. But he's so damn toxic, that the club and staff around him slowly dissolve.
      We've seen with Cooper and Nuno, that you can have both results and integrity.

      Good manager, but says it all that despite that he's been sacked by each club he's managed and no club has taken a chance on him over the years. Also saying the media blackout was nothing to do with him yet as soon as he left Fawaz actually lifted all media bans....

      Max. Great interview. I know Billy Davies and his father. Yes, he will devide supporters who followed Forest. I spent a week studying his methods during the first spell at the City Ground. I coached alongside him in the sessions he talked about away from the top flight. His attention to detail on and off the park training sessions and games was outstanding... Could he have handled the media differently in the second spell which has been highlighted?... Only he can answer that. There is a saying in football coaching " Fail to Prepare, Prepare to Fall." I never witnessed that.
