  • New project will be a VW Crafter which I will be converting from scratch.
    It is going to have a electric bed that raises up into the roof, and I need to make it so it accommodates two dog units, Im going make my own roof rack to suit my Kayaks, solar panel and side awning.
    Im going make its swamper/overlander style.
    A outside shower unit will also be attempted !

      Thanks, give it a go, you can’t really go wrong, make sure the adhesive is warm as it’s easier to squeeze. And keep everything clean. Good luck.

      Just wanted a bit of fresh air whist near the bed, still debating to put glass in the rear doors! Something I could add at a later date. Thanks for watching

      Yes, I was thinking the same. Yours look better than mine though, being that bit smaller. If you're fitting maxxair fans, they should drag the breeze through those windows too.

    Where did you get the small windows

    Did u have a template for the large side windows?

    • @exploresandtosummit
      @exploresandtosummit  4 месяца назад

      You don’t need one, on the inside of the van the inner skin is the shape of the metal you need to cut out, just follow that line.

      @@exploresandtosummitat I get you , makes it easier also what is the black stuff you put on around the windows? It looks like the windows won’t make contact with the van because of the trim you put on ?

    • @exploresandtosummit
      @exploresandtosummit  4 месяца назад +1

      The trim leaves a small gap so the window adhesive has a good amount and can expand with hot and cold weather temperatures
