I don't know exactly why RUclips recommended this to me, but, I'm grateful I was able to see this video. Thanks to you, your family, and especially your grandparents. Its good to see them interested in your hobbies!
Love it. Not overdoing it, just giving him a little bit of a thrill. Bet it made his week. Beautiful family mate, love the car too. 92 and he's still the best dressed bloke in the car as well haha up ya game lads! He's looking mighty dapper!
@Richard Russell well his pants look freshly ironed. And with the jumper/shirt combo, change the style of the jumper, and his outfit would be acceptable for working in most small-medium offices. A hoodie wouldn't get you past reception if you worked there hahaha
the smile on the old fellas face says it all, he has a wealth of knowledge and understand of it all but it's years of engineering that he hasn't seen! top vid!
The take away for me with this vid is I see a grandson that loves his grandad and a grandfather that feels the same about his grandson and is very proud of him. Brilliant.
Brought a lil tear to my eye on Christmas. I really wish I could show my gramps my car. Miss him n the knowledge bombs I’d get a lot. Love Happy holidays
This is the exact opposite of that guy that took his father for a ride in his tesla. Except this is the way better version XD. Good on you mate, great build!
That gentlemans face lit up like a 7 year old kid every time you gave it a little throttle. Just proof that the feeling never leaves you. Wonderful to watch.. And what a lovely family.. 😊 Happy Christmas from Ireland.
@@Logandary8Deat healthy and lift weights. My granny at 86 could take the acceleration as long as she gets a warm up. Although I’d never put her there unless she wanted to and felt comfortable to
I love the fact that you respected his boundaries and condition and didn't try to scare the shit out of him just for a video. Very heart warming. I hope my grandkids do this for me when I am old.
I reckon full boost flat out and grandad would of been cool as a cucumber . What a legend grandad is and what a build. That's a moment for you to cherish. Absolutely beautiful
Awesome stuff, cherish those memories. I got to take my father when he was 80 before he passed for a spin in my blown VF that makes 730rwhp and he gave me the green light for a "quick" 5 second pull to feel the power..... he wasn't ready.... haha
Reminds me of when I used to take my Uncle Jack for rides in my V8 Commie. Nothing like this one but also nothing like my uncle could ever Imagine. He had a stroke and had to stop driving decades before hand and most the time only owned his builders trucks. I remember there was this very steep hill near his place he had gone up 1000 Times in his various Vehicles. He was amazed I could just drive up it with no effort. Went back down and gave the thing a squirt and he couldn't stop laughing and saying it was the most amazing thing he'd ever seen. I'd take him for drives every time I went to Visit. My Aunt would say " take it easy, he has a bad ticker, I don't want him getting excited". When we got in the car He'd say " I'm living on borrowed time , I could have a heart attack in bed and not wake up tomorrow, I want to live while I can. Don't listen to your aunt, she is going to kill me of boredom. " It was pretty funny to go laying rubber off the lights with a very senior and frail looking man sitting beside me but he loved every minute of it. He just couldn't get over how it would pin him back in the seat and go round corners so different to anything he had ever owned or been in before and would always talk about the feeling of it. My Aunt got a bit mad with me once before we went out saying " Don't you kill him getting him overly excited. It takes me a week to calm him down after you take him out." He turned and said " You Silly bugger, he gives me something to live for and makes me feel alive. " I miss him a lot.
I love how appreciative old people are. They could just sit there watching you do literally anything and absolutely love it. And their old terminology too 🤣 I noticed that your Grandfather says "motorcar", and it reminds me of my 90 year old Grandad. Boy they have seen some things in their time havent they
Like the guy said below RUclips threw this up to me and I'm glad I watched . My Grandparents were my hero's and seeing you with yours brings back wonderful memories and in fact your grandparents remind me of mine. I remember one day my 75 year old grandpa got in for a ride in my mate's HQ GTS with a big block and he loved it! You've got a lovely family mate enjoy them every chance you get. Merry Christmas.

This has to be the Turbo LS vid of the year bro! The smile and pride in your pops face- it doesn’t get any better than that! Well done legend, keep up the great work😎👌🏼
Honestly Andy I never ever leave comments on videos and I'm a RUclips premium vet, about 8 years daily watching RUclips, mate your car is fucking amazing you're much younger than me (43). Like Pop said to you he's proud of you, and you should be brother what an amazing inspirational masterpiece you have created. love your work mate.
😅Awesome👍🏼. They never really lose a spark for cars lol. My 94yo pop still drives around in his series 2 VF LS3 V8 calais. He also just picked up a new Mazda MX5 😅. Recently restored and sold two MG's as well.
What awesome grandparents.. Enjoy every moment with them. If only i could have my grandpa in my old vy ss i reckon he would show me how to drive it 😂😂.
I really enjoyed watching your video it moved me! I live in the US but I have a 2017 SS that has been returned to Holden emblems and a Magnuson supercharger. I would have loved to give my Gearhead father a ride in it but he had a stroke and the Last 5 Years of his life he had dementia and would not have anything to do with me because he thought that I stole his driver's license... RIP Dad and Holden! 🙏😥
Grandad so proud man! My LoLo passed away 6 weeks ago and I miss him so much he’s the reason why I love cars so much he was a top mechanic in Philippines for 20 years til he moved to Australia. This video makes me smile that u got to take ur pop in the car you built. Never got to take my LoLo in my 700hp xr6t Ute that I built (learnt most from him too)
as someone who didn't get to grow up with much of a father figure or get to experience much car culture this video puts a smile on my face. thank you edit: car sounds amazing!
Likewise brother.I feel it too.I wish I could give my father or grandpa A ride. But on my bright side I have A son now and hope he can give me A ride one day in his floating electric something something lol.
Makes me miss the fact my grandpa passed away before I reached the ability to do this with him. He loved cars and wanted to be a mechanic after WW2. You got a special bond my friend :)
happy new years guys. i didnt realise i needed to see another old man enjoy some good old muscle car engine. once he opened up the exaust his mouth went considerably wider.
Absolutely loved the interaction between generations, talking over the engine. Somethings just never get old. Loves how proud your grandfather was of you, just beautiful.
Your grandpa really loved hearing that blow off valve! You are awesome!! You have earned my sub. Cant wait to see more of this commodore or whatever else you get into!!
That was spectacular. Loved seeing his face light up. I’m sure he gave the pedal plenty in his day but the old 308s of the time aren’t quite a match for the modern machines!
Mate random recommendation on Xmas day but bloody oath put a smile on my face. Cherish every moment you can brother. You can tell he was chuffed and proud of his grandson. An awesome build right there mate. He’ll have plenty to say at the pub gatherings with the boys 👌

He was so proud. This was dope to watch. Beautiful car by the way. My actual dream car. They cost an arm and a leg here in the USA. If I ever got one I’m definitely putting Holden badges on it!
V8's and BBQ's mate, a man can stare at a steak grilling or a V8 running all day. Old boy just needed a stubbie in his hand and it would've been the perfect day 👍
Mate. Thats a ripper. I hope i am the same in 40 years time and my grandson can show off a ripper car. Nice how much interest he has in your pride and joy. Altho, i reckon ill still ask for some tire frying at that age 🤣
this is awesome. my dad is late stage cancer and i grew up learning to drive in his VK commodore berlina. i know it's not the same but took him for a spin out of hospital in my VF SV6 and he had this same reaction.
Seeing his face light up just as it hit boost brings back memories.. you know that feeling when you play the boost so you feel like your floating.. theres nothing that makes me smile like that feeling..
