Thank you for straight-forward video especially without all the extra, unnecessary stuff. It’s amazing all he diagrams and videos that are out there and hardly anything for that mower which is same one I have and have to replace belt tomorrow. I especially appreciate the little idler spring trick replacing spring BEFORE putting belt around left blade pulley.
Another retiree thanks you for your excellent Z245 belt replacement video. I especially appreciated your tip to unloosen the left blade drive belt in order to route around the other pulleys and drives. Then it's pretty easy to pull the left blade drive back on.
Wow. This was very detailed and easy to follow. My local John Deere dealer charges me $200 to do this! I am retired and on a budget so you are my hero of the week. Thanks, again for a great video!
Appreciate u having the right tools and sequencing preplanned ! Obviously a hard camera view but still nice to not have some fellow dyi’r wasting my time while he looks for tools and tries to figure out what he’s doing !!

I usually figure this stuff out on the fly so thank you for saving me a couple hours of head scratchin'. Nice job.
I just tackled this myself and this video saved me a bunch of time
You're welcome to both of you.

Thanks very much! Followed your good instructions and worked great on my z445.
This was an extremely helpful video. I was able to get the new belt installed and mower back in service in less than 15 minutes.
Thanks for the vid. The idler-lever arm has a square hole for a 3/8" breaker bar to make pulling the arm easier.
Thank you.
Amazing job.
You saved me a service call today.
Thanks, good video, Gonna do this tomorrow

Thank you!!
You made it very simple. Thanks

Ok the front spring was off. Where does it hook to the frame ??
This is a great video.
NIce job - thanks!
cheers mate, one thing do you set the blades at a particular turn or does it not matter where they are in relation to one and other ?
No it doesn't matter as they will slip and slide a bit during use anyway.
Wht size belt did you use?
Thanks for that help
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
How to install a foot lift on a z425 with a 54. In. Deck
Thanks for that. Is that the 54 inch belt? Cheers from Australia
Yes. Sorry I did not get a notification of your comment.
How did you release the spring at start?
3/8 ratchet or breaker bar. Put in the idler pulley arm where the square notch is, and pull the arm back to release tension off the spring.

Thanks mine just broke
You're welcome. Sorry to hear about that. These belts are not cheap by any means.
