Newport wetlands is a fantastic RSPB site where visitors can see birds in their thousands. We take a walk there on a February afternoon with camera in hand.
We enjoyed the stroll with the camera shy wife, Phil. 😁😁 Em sure seems to come in a lot though and makes a great addition! Beautiful bird captures and the lighthouse is lovely. Loved the bird house footage! Thanks for bringing us along.
A very similar RSPB reserve to my local.... Leighton Moss! Over the past 9 months it's been a refuge for me and a tonic for my mental health. Glad you enjoyed your day... I'm sure you'll enjoy many more over the coming seasons. Thanks for sharing Phil,ATB Alistair 👍

What a stunning place, very charming lighthouse, i can understand why the birds love it there! Another beautiful lighthouse. How nice. Yikes the white trainers! A very reasonable price to join. A lovely February day, id say Spring has come early. All the daffodils are out in force here. 👍

I grew up on the other side of the Severn/Bristol Channel near the Severn Bridge so loved the shots of the coast. Looks a great place for landscape and bird photography.
Hi Phil, some lovely shots and footage of the wetlands and the wildlife inhabiting them. It was nice to hear the birdsong too. The little lighthouses looked really cute. Haha, your lovely wife soon discovered that white trainers were not the best choice! 😂 A great place to take a stroll - thanks for taking us along 👍😊

Hi Phil , this is the perfect area for photos inspiration ! I have kind of the same near my home , and you know what , even if I live there for a long now, i 'm never bored, and each time I walk there , it's like it is the first time, of course stopping every second for taking pictures ....not easy for some who accompagny. 😬 Perhaps I could say Winter give a bonus in kind of an area . You captured wonderful colors and the soul ofthe place 💛💛💛💛

Just brilliant. We used to be RSPB members. But we switched to the Wildlife Trust. RSPB sites are amazing. There is always so much to see around them Phil. And you’re right it’s very good value too. You got a beautiful Male Stonechat at 1:39. Top stuff mate. 👍 I wonder what the Bird of Prey was - probably a Marsh Harrier around there. Enjoyed that one Phil. 👍👍

Great place to visit. Be warned though Phil, once you get into bird photography those big lenses start to look very tempting but they're bloody expensive.
