I saw that concert. Amazing! Still one of top three performances I have seen with Purple. Best one was in Malmö 1984, Absolutely stunning. Any videos from that one? Anyone?
BLACKMORE WAS ON FIRE FOR MOST OF THE 1993 TOUR AND THEY WERE THE BEST CONCERTS OF THE REFORMED MARK II VERSION OF DEEP PURPLE! even when he cut back on his solos such as in Birmingham his playing was Awe inspiring. So much Rubbish is written about that Tour.
Don't misunderstand me, I don't hate Ian Gillan, I praise him, I don't consider my self a fan of Deep Purple even if it's one of my most favourite bands. My music taste it's really wide, I like what you like and probably what you hate too. Besides I questioned your comment, I didn't insulted you, even less to Gillan!
Maybe YOU got bored. "In 1993, fans got tired of ritchie". How do you know what fans felt about Ritchie, specially at a time when you were like 8 years old?.
Coverdale don't want anything to do with Purple, so too bad there eh? Haha! In 1993, fans got tired of Ritchie being unpredictable and boring on stage, they had played to half-filled arenas, but when Ritchie left, and Satriani and later Morse came in, they played to full or almost full arenas again. Sums it up really!
ritchie63, go listen to Blackmore's Night, I'm pretty sure you actually listen to that bullshit, now THAT is what I call to ruin songs. This is a great performance, Ritchie actually put a bit of effort into his playing, something that is almost unthinkable on the 1987/88 and 1993 tour. Ritchie mostly played uninteresting rubbish back then. The rest of the band saves the performance of course. You can always trust Paice/Lord/Gillan/Glover.
Vintage Deep Purple. Thanks!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Perfect Classic line up !!
Awesome Performance !!!! Thanx for upload.
Fue el primer concierto que asistimos, con Pepe, Odile ,Cristian, Enrrique, Rosa Maria y Marilú en Scandinavia de Gotenburgo, un recuerdo inolvidable.

Nope! Coverdale and Hughes please stay away from Deep Purple. Gillan and Glover thanks for all great albums and bring on another.
