It’s a real struggle being an INFJ when it comes to careers. I just turned 37 and all my adult life I’ve struggled with what I wanted to do. There was so many options and things I wanted to do and I changed my major in college several times. In the end I never finished college or had a career and have been feeling lost on what I actually want to or can do with my life😔
I'm sorry to hear that, I would suggest looking into the career path stated in this video to see what can help you. I pray everything goes well for you in the future to come🙏🏾🙏🏾

Actually, just do something that even slightly inspires you and that you can earn decent money doing. By doing that job in a way that inspires you (you can fake it until you make it) then you can better realize your future by analyzing what you like and do not like. If you go at a job as if it were your passion then you can learn much. Even a fast food worker can take pride in making customers happy or remembering regular customers' names. Sometimes the job can seem so different from you, but you find a way to own it.
@No Division Gang Thanks. I am in a happy career space. Another point is that you can pivot careers or do a side hustle in order to get more pleasure from your career. I just automate these things (I'm a software developer) and move ahead. Before, I was confused how people actually justify their mundane work (to themselves)? The answer I now know is they are not INFJs so thinking about it creatively isn't as natural to them as it is for me, and unlike me, they can do brain-dead things.
I'm an INFJ mental health nurse. I want to move towards pyschological therapies and would like to be a counsellor in the future :) I also love art and am looking forward to community mental health work and love teaching things to others!
Before I discovered that I am an INFJ. I always thought of getting a psychology course or fine arts but didnt because of practicality. Now, I have a degree that I don't use. Lol lesson learned: do whatever you desire. Follow what you love and enjoy doing every damn day. That will never be a waste of time and money.
I am an InFJ i do like physcology cause i really like to know why people behave in certain way and whats going on in their mind. I have a career that not really fit me. If i were want to change my career i would like to become a writer, anything that allow me to express my feeling, emotion and creativity with no control from any organisation.
I went to community College for graphic design and I loved it, but I got caught up with what my parents suggested//wanted and now I'm currently in a major I dislike and can care less about (Radiography). It took a toll on me mentally. But I'm planning to go back to graphic design and get my freaking degree!!!
At different points in my life, I wanted to go into most of these careers. I settled on being a Writing Coach, writer, and an artist. I was a trainer in many of the jobs I worked while in college, as well as a tutor in English and History.
As an INFJ, I'm in human resources: several different roles over my 10 years, volunteered as a small group leader for the youth for 7 years, became animal sitter for 7 years, been a retail worker off and on and love creating or organizing events where I can be creative! Writing is also something that has always been the easiest way for me to express my feelings!
Hi , I am currently preparing for Entrance Exams in MBA HR. What advice can you give ? I like dealing with people but I don't know if I will like the commercial work that comes with an HR position.
As an infj I chose social work. I specialised in management and accreditation where I could use my sharp assessment (judgement) skills. This allowed me to also use my writing skills.
The older I get the more I realise that as an INFJ, it is far more better for your own happiness and mental health, to avoid working with people as far as possible.WWirking in a very creative environment. And that means being bold, courageous, fierce and a warrior but I can just testify that it will be all worth it in the end.
Even though I hadn’t known I am an INFJ, I’ve been doing life coach and graphic designer as my career as I’ve been learning about myself these 6 months. Yay! I also work as a videographer but been trying to keep from it because I’ve found I don’t feel comfortable with the work environment. Maybe I just didn’t like working for a Japanese company? Haha Btw I am Japanese.
My twin 💙🦁suggested I take on a counseling, education, and an art career and I was already feeling that way. My soul 🐺💓backed the pursuit. It's awesome to be supported by people who uplift you instead of shit on your dreams. I do this for me, while I thank God for them.🙏🏾✝️
A job away from ppl or online away from ppl, did I happen to mention I want a job where I dont have to be around ppl on a daily basis? Honestly I really hate and love ppl in a weird paradoxical way, but I just wanna do my job, not make friends, not be all chummy because to me a job is a place to earn a paycheck and nothing else I know it must seem odd that an infj doesn't like ppl as much as others but its true, I just want do my job in peace without distraction and without havin to deal with wemon catchin feelings for the new guy because he's 6'4 I'm also red pill aware so
@@dmarl1042 unfortunately yes, in my 2 n a half years I've learned a great many things about how most wemon are n what they're attracted to and while I can say for sure that not every girl is into height most are which is why I desire to not be around wemon because most wemon are attracted to shallow n superficial qualities And if you call them out on this the vast majority will lie n say its about personality which is bs, I really wish wemon weren't so shallow but they are and I see my genetic gifts as a curse that attracts wemon to me like a magnet 😔 I hate bein 6'4, bein an infj doesn't help either
@@PsychologyRefresh to get paid to exterminate ped0$, it would give me immense personal satisfaction knowing that I was makin the world safer for kids both now n in the future one head at a time, other than that I honestly couldn't tell ya as I see a job as just a paycheck and nothing more
@@infj-tguy6275 I feel for you because I have similar problem. But, here comes the but 😀, there must be something in addition to the height. Just to share my personal experience, some attracted to me when I was much younger to a point one or two exhibiting stalker behaviour. I must say I would purposely be an a-hole to repell them but some saw it as a "challenge" 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I couldn't wait to get older. But in my 40s I still get the same treatment and there's even a new pool I have to worry about: men in their 20's. Thus, I suspect there might be something more.
Thank you for this video. Every one of them resonated with either my career or my hobbies except #11. That one plus other earlier ones would drain me. I would be a good therapist, outreach specialist, life coach, etc. but realized early on that these roles done on a full time basis would sap much of my life energy and could really disappoint if I didn't do a perfect job...or no matter how great a job I did, If I were helping someone who didn't yet want to grow. So I am a Chemical Regulatory Compliance Manager who started out in Product Development which suited my scientific bent and desire to improve things. I am an INFJ and recieved a Bachlors in Psychology. I'm planning to continue on to Masters in Counseling soon. I went into this field because I loved the idea of helping people, but I'm worried and wondering if there will be a large personal cost. Remember INFJs can get drained by too many people and we need to decompress. Don't you think multiple people unloading all issues onto you everyday, most of the time stemming from serious trauma, would take a toll? Does anyone have any experience with this feeling in the counseling field?
I recently found out i was an INFJ and it makes sense. Being an older person watching this, i am inspired to create my own path that can allow me ro share my gufts and talents to reach others. I am most gravitated to writing. I feel as if it is my greatest strength. But its hard to find the right path in that direction.
I’m a hairstylist. And though it wasn’t mentioned in this video I think it fits. It’s a creative field and also a counseling field. Any hairstylists resonate with this??
I was a math/science tutor for a while and it was extremely fulfilling (though not well-paying, lol). Tutoring is like a merging of counseling with a educational bent. You’re not just focusing on helping them learn material they struggle with, but helping them through the struggles of learning. I think the greatest tutor is the one that helps the student identify what is causing them to struggle with teaching themselves and getting them through it. You know you’re a good tutor, when they the student no longer needs you and can do things on their own. Sometimes this is just teaching them how to search up information or question what they know. Other times, it’s working through painful memories as a kid, and showing them that they ARE a good student. They ARE good at math. And that they have the capabilities and potential to accomplish whatever they put their mind too. Again, not exactly a lucrative career option. Had to move onto something (much less fitting for us) that could pay the bills better. Edit: Currently going to school for a new career and have an internship that seems to blend counseling, education, environmental science, graphic design, writing, community outreach, and art altogether. Super excited to see where it goes!
I want to be a personal stylist on the side. and yes it is both a creative and a counseling field since we suggest styles based on the client's personality and desires
I am really struggling with my current college course right now and thought this course is not really suitable for me and after watching this video it opened me to possible career path that I am more enclined to and would be fulfilling and rewarding to do someday in the future. Thank you!
I find that jobs where I can help others are fulfilling but being that most of the time the outcome and well being of the other person is not in my control, it can actually bring me a lot of pain since I was not able to help 😔
@@PsychologyRefresh I used to work in the Early Education field, helping families with young children who due to their circumstances were statistically likely not to to succeed in school or get out of the cycle of poverty their parents were in. While in some occasions I was able to help in some ways, most of these families did not even have the basic needs met, and their problems were so huge and numerous that they weren't able to do much with the education I provided them. Sometimes it felt like our hands were truly tied and all we could do was go home and hope for the best. When I saw good results from my work, it was the best. But when I couldn't help, seeing them so hopeless and broken, and having to tell them that I, the person who was here to help, that they were supposed to be able to turn to, the person with the resources, I had no answers for those problems. It broke my heart and brought me so much pain, even though I knew I had done all I could
I had been a teacher at school and later on I became a process trainer / community outreach volunteer on several occassions when I was an office worker. I'm now invested in photo and video editing plus writing novels. But I don't want them to be part of my career. I want them to remain as my hobbies.
I'm an INFJ and basically a doctor. I'm about to choose my specialisation and I'm having a difficult time choosing. I want a peaceful lifestyle yet be helpful and be accomplished. I have days where I feel like doing anything and everything and days when I want it to be easy. I also fear about my state of mind in long-term, i.e would I be happy and content with my decision in the future? Feel free to pour in your thoughts.
i dont know how is the system in your country . but i would recommend a medical spe lika gastro / internal /endocrino .... or a spe both medical and chirurgical one like ophtalmo / orl /gyneco this why your gonna have days of surgery and also consultation
what i dont recommand is psychiatrist / geriatrics / oncology .... the ones that we normally desire cause we think we may be better at but we knooow its gonna be hard on us and draining . when someone need something and we are in a position when we can help we tend to give everything at our expense and it s a no for the long run
i m pretty sure u know this hhhhhh but i needed to externalize it cause me too i still got one year before i start residency ( eng is my third language thats why i didnt get too specific in specialisation but i hope you get the general idea) .good luck !
Also, how do you ensure you don't zone out during cruise phases, I hold a Recreational Pilots Licence - takeoffs and landings are great as a lot is going on - but when cruising I can find myself zoning out at time if I am not focused on something (ADHD and the Introverted Intuition is the cause)
Life coach sounds nice, but I only work with positive n healthy ppl who are willing and able to put in the dedication time n hard work it takes to achieve their goals
i just recently discovered that i'm an infj and i dont see my job listed here which made me realize why i never enjoy my job right now. I've been interested in most of the jobs listed here but coming from my upbringing and my environment, I think I just want to please my family by doing my current job.

I am SO this personality type but I test INTP. They must be pretty close. As long as I can remember, I have had a very strong servant side and, as a school principal, was always one THE people in our school where teachers, parents, and students would gravitate to my office for a sympathetic ear.

I’m a INFJ and INTJ I’m currently a nursing student now realizing healthcare is not what I thought it was. It can be very draining caring for others, despite myself being a caring, empathetic person. And I don’t like working on holidays. I always planned on getting a degree in business but now I’m trying to find out which area. I like the idea of working a group of people collaboratively, I love being able to put together my own chic work outfits for work. I’m also a highly creative person and aspiring to get a business degree that can also be helpful for any aspiring entrepreneur.
I have a love towards art writing and psychology. So I said I’m going to become a story board artist for animated movies that I hope will shape a generation in a meaningful way.
I was a one man band working in hospital administration. Recruiting doctors, setting up Rural Health Clinic designation, etc. Talking with Everyone in the hospital, cheerleader, promoter, PR, talking with public...no end to application of leading & coaching, was hard but fulfilling.

Before watching this video, I have applied for 6 of these jobs numerous times lol. I've been an artist since I could write. So doing something in art was a given. I've also been in poetry contests and applied for blogger positions. The only reason i'm not in HR is because they typically want someone with a ton of experience or a degree. I spent the last 3 years of my life looking for a great outreach job. And it seems super easy to get into trainer positions. I just hate that job cause I don't have patients and don't want to babysit. Lol....I always feel seen with these INFJ videos. Lol.
INFJ here. Had an environmental career and it was not satisfying for me - I felt like a cog in a machine who didn't create much change. Now I plan to go down the allied health path.
it's crazy bc most of us in the comments are going through the same thing :,) I'm stuck between health sciences, psychology and art. I decided on majoring in health sciences right now because I want to be a pediatric dermatologist PA, but other times I wonder if I should work as a occupational therapist for children, or just do art but I know it's super hard to take off in the art industry :,( wish I could combine them all frfr
I'm an infj and aspired to be a botanist..... Do you think it'll be a great path? I just can't decide which would be the best career for me who's interested in various things but I've settled down for botanist for now
I switched professions from dental hygienist to psychologist…..like so many of us have switched to 😂😂😂…I can remember my gr 9 yearbook I stated I wanted to be a psychologist 🤷🏻♀️now I’m working towards becoming a minister as well
No, I definitely don't want to be a therapist for this dysfunctional species, I dont wanna listen to the endless stream of ppls problems for a living because it doesn't really help them anyway Ppls problems are like cars, they're always gonna need to be washed and I dont want their dirt on me

The answer I now know is they are not INFJs so thinking about it creatively isn't as natural to them as it is for me, and unlike me, they can do brain-dead things.
im so happy for you!
I'm also in accounting now lol, love the calculations, don't really like the theory 😂

At different points in my life, I wanted to go into most of these careers. I settled on being a Writing Coach, writer, and an artist. I was a trainer in many of the jobs I worked while in college, as well as a tutor in English and History.

As an infj who is both a writer and an educator/caregiver (i work at a daycare), i approve this message.

I’m training to be a teacher. My god it’s intense, but so rewarding for an INFJ
As an infj I chose social work. I specialised in management and accreditation where I could use my sharp assessment (judgement) skills. This allowed me to also use my writing skills.
Thanks for sharing!
The older I get the more I realise that as an INFJ, it is far more better for your own happiness and mental health, to avoid working with people as far as possible.WWirking in a very creative environment. And that means being bold, courageous, fierce and a warrior but I can just testify that it will be all worth it in the end.
Are you saying we should avoid jobs with people like counselor ?
I agree!!! I'm 30 and realize that
As an INFJ, Im studiying Biomedical Eng. because it combines science and medicine to help everyone have a happy and good life. :)

Even though I hadn’t known I am an INFJ, I’ve been doing life coach and graphic designer as my career as I’ve been learning about myself these 6 months. Yay! Interesting!
A job away from ppl or online away from ppl, did I happen to mention I want a job where I dont have to be around ppl on a daily basis?
Honestly I really hate and love ppl in a weird paradoxical way, but I just wanna do my job, not make friends, not be all chummy because to me a job is a place to earn a paycheck and nothing else
I know it must seem odd that an infj doesn't like ppl as much as others but its true, I just want do my job in peace without distraction and without havin to deal with wemon catchin feelings for the new guy because he's 6'4
I'm also red pill aware so
What is your dream job?
Are you sure it's only because of the height?
@@dmarl1042 unfortunately yes, in my 2 n a half years I've learned a great many things about how most wemon are n what they're attracted to and while I can say for sure that not every girl is into height most are which is why I desire to not be around wemon because most wemon are attracted to shallow n superficial qualities
And if you call them out on this the vast majority will lie n say its about personality which is bs, I really wish wemon weren't so shallow but they are and I see my genetic gifts as a curse that attracts wemon to me like a magnet 😔
I hate bein 6'4, bein an infj doesn't help either
I choose a career in marketing. Believe it or not it’s so similar to psychology where I study buyer behavior and build marketing plans

What type of position in marketing, if you don’t mind me wondering?
@@codymclean6045 I’m a product marketing manager and before that I was a marketing manager.
Environment is also a winner, except that it can be a bit CYA and robotic if not managed well. I like providing technical solutions via out-of-the box thinking which solve customers' problems and improve the world

YES ME TOO
I recently found out i was an INFJ and it makes sense. Being an older person watching this, i am inspired to create my own path that can allow me ro share my gufts and talents to reach others. I am most gravitated to writing. I feel as if it is my greatest strength. But its hard to find the right path in that direction.

@@PsychologyRefresh Thank you
I’m a hairstylist. And though it wasn’t mentioned in this video I think it fits. It’s a creative field and also a counseling field. Any hairstylists resonate with this??
Thank you for bringing up your perspective!
So at 44, I’m a Designer (Art Director), Artist (yes, there’s a difference between designer and artist) AND a Life Coach…. NAILED IT 😂😂😂😂😂
I am really struggling with my current college course right now and thought this course is not really suitable for me and after watching this video it opened me to possible career path that I am more enclined to and would be fulfilling and rewarding to do someday in the future. Thank you!

I find that jobs where I can help others are fulfilling but being that most of the time the outcome and well being of the other person is not in my control, it can actually bring me a lot of pain since I was not able to help 😔
Do you mind sharing this job?
It broke my heart and brought me so much pain, even though I knew I had done all I could

i dont know how is the system in your country . but i would recommend a medical spe lika gastro / internal /endocrino .... or a spe both medical and chirurgical one like ophtalmo / orl /gyneco this why your gonna have days of surgery and also consultation
what i dont recommand is psychiatrist / geriatrics / oncology .... the ones that we normally desire cause we think we may be better at but we knooow its gonna be hard on us and draining . when someone need something and we are in a position when we can help we tend to give everything at our expense and it s a no for the long run
i m pretty sure u know this hhhhhh but i needed to externalize it cause me too i still got one year before i start residency ( eng is my third language thats why i didnt get too specific in specialisation but i hope you get the general idea) .good luck !
