My wife and I are looking for a home to retire. We are attempting to narrow our search and your videos are very helpful. We will be in Charleston in a couple weeks. Will look you up.😊
Bill I'on Mt Pleasant looks super cool. Looks like two wheels on the ground are the way to get around. I don't know if they'd let me in a "new urbanist" community. I'm 58. The water and outdoors are really attractive in I'on Mt Pleasant. Are the critters in those canals? Sea monsters? Anything that can eat you? Back I'on Mt Pleasant it looks like a cool area to live in. Love the streetscape, restaurants, shops, and such. The Ion Club seems to be a great place to rub elbows with the local biz crowd. I bvet the course is awesome. You must have fun making these videos, and I can see that you invest a lot of work in making them. I appreciate your excellent work. Good job man!
I remember when Ion first appeared in the late 1990s, similar to a development on Lady's Island near Beaufort, vut a little more consensed. Homes were in the $269z300k range, but a very nice 0lace to live, with little car presence.
Hey Adam, There really isn't anything quite like I'on anywhere else. It's very unique. What are you looking for in a neighborhood and I can make some suggestions.
A lot of Ion homes have garages. They made smaller lots to mimic downtown, but every street pretty much has street parking. It can be tough at times for visitors if you don’t have a driveway though.
David Garcia I’m still seeing them towards the bottom of the description. Here they are for you: Homes for sale in I'on: bit.ly/IONMtPleasant I'on Club: www.theionclub.com/ Creekside Club: creekevents.com/club I'on Trust: iontrust.org/ Charleston County Public Schools: www.ccsdschools.com/ccsd Mt Pleasant, SC www.tompsc.com/ experiencemountpleasant.com/
There are many, great more budget friendly areas around Charleston. I just did a video about it. But check out the Summerville area, or for a more budget friendly area closer to the beaches, west Ashley.
Hope you enjoyed my tour of I'on. What neighborhoods would you like to see me highlight next? Let me know in the comments!
I love the I'On area...it is so beautiful...it's a mini Charleston..wish I could afford to live there....

Very cool - I once thought I was going to move to Charleston and Daniel Island was the area I was scoping out.

Lots to do that’s for sure.
I was wondering if you can share What your thoughts are Huger and Awendaw? Pros and cons
Lots of land and trailers full of Poors that will steal your air conditioner

Here’s another great comment!
Amazing neighborhood!

So much water does it flood there??
I’on is not known to flood to my knowledge.
Zero
There was a yacht club

Great looking neighborhood
Thanks for watching AK!
Why aren't there any people walking around? It looks like Thames Town in Shanghai. Nice, but empty and lifeless.
Ha! This was on a random weekday, I’m assuming everyone was at work and kids were at school.
hmmm, interesting to learn what new urbanism means. lol. Love all your broll
Thanks! I learned a lot about new urbanism as well.
My daughter moved there from San Diego. Too hot and too many bugs !
I wish we had perfect year round San Diego Weather here!
This really made me miss home: Charleston
same man
When can I move in?
Whenever you're ready! Let's make it happen!
What you get is no place to put your car….zero garages and not enough on street parking
