I have been in the new code orange Raptor, brilliant. I am not a DC ute fan at all but this new Raptor has me rapt! The Ford engineer told me that they listened to the Maserati Quattroporte’s exhaust as the benchmark for the exhaust sound. Your video does not capture how good the sound is. How they get a V6 with a twin turbo to sound that good (listening outside at the rear of a stationary vehicle) is a mystery as it is unbelievable. The rest of this ute is a massive leap forward for the Raptor and lesser models. This will make the Toyota and all the others feel, look and as we know perform more like a 1980s product.
Cancelled my Ram 1500 Laramie order and chucked my $ onto the Raptor with beadlock wheel option.. Was going for Blue Lightning but I'm torn as Meteor Gray also looks good.
Thank you for all the detailed content on this truck! As an American there is very little info on these yet so this is super helpful. I have placed a deposit for a build slot due in part to your videos, and yes I gotta go with the Code Orange!
Great review Paul, After seeing you at Loveday and seeing the Raptor in the flesh I went and ordered mine the next day. Was going to play it safe and go with one of the greys but then thought, it's a Raptor may aswell go the Raptor exclusive colour and went with Code Orange. It just looked awesome seeing it in its natural habitat.
Pretty sure it looked metallic. It looked to be quite a reddish orange. I'm not normally one to go for a red vehicle but this had enough of an orange tinge and against the black rims and accents it contrasted nicely. The colour just seemed to suit and compliment the style of ute that the Raptor is.

Mine is on order (Conquer Grey) $92400 drive away, about $5k cheaper than I (& the dealer) thought so now a bit more money for fruit😁. Looks like an absolute weapon and, as Paul said 'untouchable' in this segment.
I think it's fantastic value for money. Nothing else in the Thai market comes even close. My wife and I were told by Ford Thailand back in November when they had the RUclips unveiling, that the V6 might come to Thailand so my wife went and booked a V6 straight away, thinking it would be a Wildtrak..... We were then invited to the VIP day at the recent Bangkok Motorshow on March 21st., where the new Ford's were officially unveiled and we could play in the Wildtrak and Raptor side by side before the show opened to the public. It took me about a splt second to persuade her to order the V6 Raptor instead of the 4 cyl Wildtrak knowing that I would be driving it now and then:-)) and it turned out that Ford Thailand actually honoured her reservation from November. She used to have the previous 3.2 Wildtrak in 'Chilli', I think they called it, and so she wanted a new colour and went for 'Conquer Grey' which looks mean. We're both really looking forward to it, estimated delivery in September. We see them as test cars in our area in Thailand all the time and the waiting time is a killer.
I’ve just ordered my Ford Ranger Raptor in Thailand I won’t actually take possession until October but I have picked the orange color this will only be the second Ford that I’ve purchased the last being in the seventies I was attracted by the price which I believe is similar to the price in Australia it just looks like such a great alround truck with very modern technology
Ford has nailed it with this Next Gen range, and i'm pleased about the prices remaining reasonable too. Hopefully the same minor increases are carried over to the Everest too 🤞 Great vid as always Paul, thanks 🏆

Thanks for another awesome informative video. I have a 2019 Wildtrack at the moment and have ordered a Meteor Grey Raptor which should arrive middle of next year. Excited to say the least. Looking forward to some vids, detailed walk through when first units arrive. 😀

One powerball. Can't wait to see you drive & review on the road & log mountain etc. 👍🏼 With all the testing and tuning to make this a beast is probably worth the extra 20K over the XLT or Sport for example. But is it too wide for a lot of tracks?
Afaik the new raptor has the same track width as the old raptor and the entire new ranger lineup. So, yes, it will likely be a bit wide for some tracks, but considering that most newer 4x4s all have slightly wider track width (like the Amarok, 200 & 300 Land cruiser, etc.) I'm guessing the tracks will get wider over time. Besides, it's only slightly wider than the current ranger.
Really great review. I ordered and paid a deposit last week in New Zealand (Aussie in NZ). I currently have a 2016 Ranger and am giving that to my son. I cannot wait for this in October apparently. Pricing here in NZ is $89,990 plus onroads PLUS the government clean car tax of (wait for it) $5,125 per car. I am going with the blue and nearly went with one of the greys. I literally cannot wait.
So glad I got my pre order in when I did! Pricing is much cheaper than I anticipated. Paul did you find that the “code orange” is much more orange in real life than the red colour it looks in all footage of it?
Very good video! I drive the "old" Ford Ranger Raptor, which came out here in Europe in 2019. I like the look and the sound of the new one very much and it is pretty likely - depends on the pricing here - that we are going to make the switch...-))

I find the price quite a pleasant surprise as I was expecting a price north of $100k. I ordered on 13th May with an anticipated delivery date of Jan 2023.
Hi Paul, I have ordered a Code Orange. Very disappointed to hear there is no room for a second battery - potentially a show stopper for me as this is a key requirement for serious 4WD trips away. Great coverage Paul and I love your enthusiasm for the beast. I've ordered a Code Orange and managed to get an allocation for July delivery. Like you I am pleasantly surprised by the price, and I'm guessing not many dealers will be negotiating too hard for a looooooong time. Noticed when you zoomed in on the drivers screen a 100km until empty at 1/2 a tank. Is that correct paul? I'm waiting until they are released in NZ before I make a decision. The raptor vs wildtrak is about 10k difference.... now that we have a tax on co2 emission.
Yeah mines on order in Code Orange
It is closer to the hundy thousand mark, I put a deposit down last night and the gst is what makes it closer to that mark 😂
I'm NZ and have ordered the conquer grey was a bit torn on what colour to choose. I see someone mentioned they have ordered Aluminum but that coulour wasn't an option in NZ
Any feedback on Code Orange? it looks red online and can't get a feel for it
Paul in a long sleeve shirt...must be a cool day
Hey Paul, not sure if youre at the ausgp but i saw the w580s you reviewed in the car park 😅
Put it on order 2 months back… Conca Grey!!! Can’t wait.
is it true that the new raptors have a idle stop start system ?
Yes! Can be switched off.
Question: All New Gen Ford Ranger, Everest and Raptor has extra battery compartment. Do they need to put 2 battery while running?
no they don't need 2nd battery & the Raptor has no room for it under bonnet
What 3 colours are you picking again Paul ?
For Americans, one of our standards will be Moab. I can’t wait to try it out over here.
TL;DR: AUD85,490 + on road costs.
