@@morstyrannis1951 Ford is getting press drivers, people who aren't used of actual challenging off-roading, to showcase this vehicle. Of course its gonna be easier. But a small sedan won't do the speed and be as comfortable doing it. Some of those jumps that Raptor was doing was easily 3 feet or more off the ground, and to land without breaking it or hurting the driver at all, that's impressive.
Edit: I forgot the biggest difference - Ford is liable for anyone who gets hurt at the event. So of course they're not gonna get them to do anything more.

I don't think there would be a point unless they went with the 5.2 Predator. Which isn't likely.
Bolt-ons, downpipe, and good tune will probably have close to the same power as a supercharged 5.0.
Ford Performance might even come out with an official tuning pack that will be factory warrantied.

As much as I love the look and selling point of the Ranger Raptor.. just 2 things really worry me as a potential customer: 1) I don't like that virtually every control is on a screen... how are you supposed to be able to adjust these if you're on a bumpy trail or wearing gloves during a cold winter; 2) Anything and everything with "Raptor" in the name gives dealerships a reason to charge "market adjustments" and markups, as well as adding ridiculous aftermarket modifications that aren't OEM, aren't covered under manufacturer warranty (dealer only) and charging more for those than it would have cost if you just bought it without and installed it yourself.

I always prefer the smaller, more affordable version of cars that still offer the same type of excitement 🌚❤️ (You know, I prefer a BMW M2 to an M4, a Cayman to a 911 and a Ranger Raptor to an F-150 Raptor)
However, I do suffer from that Caymanism you know, "The Cayman must always be lesser than the 911 which is the more expensive love child", and I see that reflected here with the Ranger not having amber headlights 🙂 It's like "Yeah, this is a Raptor but not so much xd If you want that go for the F-150" which for smaller, lighter car lovers like me is dreadful 🙂
Still, these are great! I see them rolling arround all the time in my country :)

We can thank Tesla for that in a way. Fifteen years ago when the e92 BMW's were around, we would get excited with 15-20hp increases on the new refreshes. Tesla appeared with it's insane power and suddenly cars and trucks had to counter with far more than 20hp bumps. The competition Tesla brought on the scene was well worth it for everyone.
