The Dodgers own scouting report on Lux says he doesn't turn double plays well. However, if Lux hits like the last half of 2024, the Reds have made a good pickup.
I remember when Lux was still a top prospect for the dodgers, one of the best in baseball, considered "untouchable in trade scenarios at the time. Wish him well always loved Lux, he never gets hurt it's probably a different thing
It’s a win win situation. Lux’s stock went up this post season. Trade him while he is hot and keep the farm system up. Lux will have an opportunity to shine with the Reds and maybe negotiate a contract for more money. Honestly Lux is not a utility player, he can only play 2nd. He wasn’t great in the outfield. I wish him luck. He will forever be a champion. Go Dodgers!
Dodgers are going to have to pay all of Taylor's contract. I was surprised they gave it to him when they did. Taylor and Austin Barnes have the best damn agents. 2026 Dodgers have a club option for 12 mil....which they are not going to pick up.
He's owed too much money. No one will take him in a trade, you aren't cutting him with that much to pay him. He's a valuable bench piece that can play outfield and infield just fine.
I was wondering what we were going to do with Lux if we have a new Korean talent living at 2nd base. I'm all about giving Lux an opportunity with another team. I kinda think Lux was about replacement level, but I haven't looked at his stats.
Has never been the same since that horrendous injury, neither offensively or defensively. Both have slowly gotten better and I hope he continues to get back on the path he was expected to play at.
This is interesting. I watch the reds pretty close and in my opinion I believe they may be making another trade soon. Al west, maybe pitching coming the reds way, maybe a pitcher that has thrown for them before in exchange for infield bats.
He walks away on a high note, he’s a Dodger World Series Champion!! Hold your head up bro. We wish you nothing but the best, but how weird it will be to see him in red instead of Dodger blue.
Dodgers fans such as myself should be used to seeing all the usual faces come and go by know. I feel like Chris Taylor and Max Muncy are longest tenured Dodgers left and fans have been trying to run them both for years 😂
Kershaw is still on the Dodgers and I think he’s been on the team for almost 20 years at this point P.S. I know he left and came back but I think Kike was a Dodger before those 2 as well
The Dodgers just traded Gavin Lux to the Reds, and it’s a head-scratcher. Lux finally showed his potential, hitting .300 in the second half of 2024, and now he’s off to Cincinnati a team already drowning in infielders. The Reds better have a plan, or this move is pure chaos.
That's it for a player that was one of top prospect not that long ago? Defensively he kinda suck, but htting wise he can do pretty much anything. This is the same organization that gave up Yordan for a box of peanuts, so to not question their decision is stupid.
Meh, bit of a streaky hitter. Trade makes sense since the Dodgers had 6 middle infielders and Lux is definitely the least versatile of the bunch. The Dodgers have enough pop and contact in their lineup where they can afford to deal Lux. Good player, just not really needed on their roster at the moment.
Although he was good at times, he never turned out to be the superstar everybody thought when he first came up. Maybe a change of scenery will be a difference.
@@stevenmullens511 well, Lux is at the end of his rookie contract - 2.6 million. Kim is a three-year deal with $12.5 million. If it didn't happen before the season, it would have happened during it.
I've never liked Lux. He makes a ton of errors. Hurts himself frequently during misplays. Streaky batter that goes several games without a hit. He has a lot of potential but is inconsistent.
He's about to have 40 bombs this season in that ballpark. Wish nothing but the best for Champion Gavin Lux.
Lol he had 28 bombs in 5 seasons with the Dodgers
@averieandhunterbanks that's the joke. 😂
@ 😂 I don’t get why anyone wanted him, he’s a career .250 hitter with below average defense and can only play second.
Lux sucks bro
@@SuperJay12jay you clearly don't know much about Great American Ballpark and this joke went right over your head.
That’s why they signed the Korean player. Lux was streaky at best, defense was just okay. Dodgers don’t need him.
A good defensive player and hit in the World Series against the USA
Kim is a gold glover, steal bases and will put the ball in play. Lux is junk.

This a gut punch but wish lux the best

This one stings bro, should’ve let go of Chris Taylor instead
No one wants Chris Taylor bruh lol. I think it's the last year of his deal anyways, so they just need to eat it up I guess.

Dodgers wanted Sirota bad. Must be something they see in him. They actually selected him when he went to the MLB draft but chose to go to college.

He was pretty good offensive 2nd half of last season. I’m pretty sure it was like a 143 ops+

win win both teams. got a steal on Kim
hope the best for gavin thank u for last year man go ball out in cinci
They need to trade Miguel Rojas and Taylor
To who... for what?
@ resign kike hernandez
Who would want them????
miggie is great in clubhouse and has had his moments
taylor has one more yr

I am a Dodger fan, and all I am going to say is WTF Dodgers.
Didn't make sense to get Kim without moving Taylor or Lux. I was surprised that we got Kim.
@@elasmojoneshopefully Kim can adjust to playing in the show fast.

miggy is great teacher, leader and will likely retire as a Dodger And coach
Mistake
Not “big”
I don’t like this move
glad ur just a dumb child and not someone in the front office
You kinda sound like Trump
FR they both W's
All love to Gavin 💙🤍 he’s gonna be missed but it’s for the best
