Team reviews quick HOW to Guide for fast installing on your clients site. Our techs have a IT services background and can supply complete network data cabling help. Ubiquiti is a great choice for installing internet or data connections throughout your office or factory. Simple overview, again more online videos of the interface on RUclips.
Steps to get up and running ASAP? Remember beforehand to have a login online for ui.com - Free to have.
1 - Connect CAT6 uplink to Verizon or Comcast Modem or the clients switches. However the clients might have security on their switches or ports even VLANS might be different. Typically we ask the end client their IP programming but from time to time the they do not have one.
2 - Connect the switch (if we provided one) to the above uplink.
3 - Connect the APs you are firing up, do not get too excited...they will power on but they need the below.
4 - Connect the controller or in this case the Cloud Key.
5 - Connect a laptop to the provided switch in step 2.
6 - Scan the IPS on the switch, if you need help we suggest SolarWinds but various IP scanners work.
7 - On the laptop go to a browser, does anyone use Bing or whatever the built-in browser anymore?. In the browser 110.1.23.XXX this is an example The above scanner in step 6 will give you the right one.
8 - BANG, you are in the GUI interface of the Cloud Key. After that google the admin password/login but time of video it's UBNT for both.
9 - Play in the GUI, remember to run the updates. It will take about 10-15 minutes back and forth.
10 - The GUI will prep the connected APS, and setup main/guest wifi.

When planning a wireless network for a factory or office with 30 users or more, it is important to consider several factors to ensure optimal performance and coverage. Here are some steps to help you plan the network effectively:
    1. Conduct a site survey: Begin by conducting a thorough site survey to assess the layout of the factory or office, identify potential sources of interference, and determine the best locations for access points.
    2. Determine bandwidth requirements: Consider the number of users, types of devices, and the bandwidth-intensive applications that will be used on the network to determine the required bandwidth capacity.
    3. Select the right equipment: Choose high-quality access points and network equipment that can support the number of users and provide adequate coverage for the entire area.
    4. Design the network layout: Create a network design that includes the placement of access points, channels allocation, and security measures to ensure reliable connectivity and data protection.
    5. Implement network security: Implement strong encryption protocols, secure authentication methods, and regular security updates to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
    6. Test and optimize the network: After the network is set up, conduct testing to ensure that it meets the performance requirements and make any necessary adjustments to optimize coverage and speed.
By following these steps and considering the specific needs of your factory or office, you can plan a wireless network that provides reliable connectivity for 30 users or more.

Cloud key is not required. These cloud keys models are also no longer supported by ubiquiti. Unifi Access points require a unifi controller. Unifi controller is built into a few unifi devices or a cloud key 2. You can also run the controller from a computer windows, mac, Linux. It's free downloadable software. You're only using basic functions like Wi-Fi you don't even have to have the controller software running all the time.

So good tips and you are correct. Some installs we do they do not even have a computer onsite so a cloud key works for them. With IT services you can "dial in" a better solution but this video just covers the above install. This video isn't wrong....just documents what we needed for this type of install for the cabling techs.

Did you really just deploy a UniFi Cloud Key Gen 1 - which is EOL ?
For your own sake I hope it’s an old recording….

These guys seem to just do structured cabling and layer 1 work. If it’s not an old vid I’m guessing this is the hardware their customer provided.
