I think this is the best iteration of the Squidward Wrong Notes meme. In most versions, the song Squidward plays isn't so much bad as it's just, "not as good as the original". Thus, it's easy to see when the creator's bias slips into it. With this song, however, the version Squidward plays is absolutely, categorically bad. And as such, SpongeBob rightfully puts him in his place with the objective version.

I guess the composer finished some tracks before he got to the ones that needed fixing and finishing. Well, he tried.
It's funny how the Dualshock version does have great music too, but people only know about the Mansion Basement theme... Which is one of the two songs I don't like 😂
What I find humorous is that another RUclipsr named Agent-RedJackal managed to take that infamous basement theme and merely swap the instruments around, which actually yielded a fittingly creepy song. So it appears that this meme mashup could just as easily work, with SpongeBob instead playing the altered version from ARJ’s video, “Resident Evil DC- Basement Music Fix/Rehash”.

It was a coding issue. It wasn't supposed to these horns. The man who "composed" this song was pretending to be deaf, so I assume he couldn't correct them without blowing his cover. he did end up getting caught years later @@ulzzangloverxD

So the digital release over here in pal territories is just of the regular DC with the original soundtrack. Along with that most Asian territory’s (so in this case japan since they made the game) also got given the original version for digital releases. So this issue only effects the America’s.

I guess because there were already 2 versions of RE for the PS1 and the only other difference would have been Dual Shock support. So they felt they needed one other feature to justify releasing a third version of the same game on the same console. But the original soundtrack was already perfect, so it seems more like a downgrade to me.
