I heard this in another RUclips video and spent the afternoon trying to find the unreleased AIC song I missed along the way. Soundtracks, box sets, live shows, etc. It was driving me nuts until I finally asked and was told about these guys. Amazing.

We need people to take the place of the Gods like Lemmy, DIO etc. they will no doubt be compared to Alice in Chains, but that's not the worst thing you could say about a band

why? this kid's or guy's voice is awesome (very "Layne-sque"),...but no way is Jerry Cantrell & Co. accepting (in general) a Layne copycat in AIC. ...+ being in a band is also on a personal/artistical level between members. I mean just because a person has an appropriate voice (in this case excellent) for singing AIC songs that doesn't mean he is right for the band. Don't forget he's so young (too young for AIC anyway) and personally I don't want to see/hear a Layne copycat in AIC. Layne Staley was the best...to bring a copycat of Layne in AIC would be so stupid. That would be really disrespectful for Layne...and the real end for AIC.
Not sure if you are still following this post. I visit occasionally because I love the song. The lead singer has his own band these days (not sure if he is still fronting Facelift anymore - Look up Chout if your interested) - The kid got to meet Laynes mom and hang with her a few back. =)

I fell in love with Alice In Chains when I was 8 years old. I was a hard core fan. Loved every single song. Still to this day. I'm 33 years old now...I was crushed when layne died. I never liked the replacement. Gave up on Alice In Chains. It was a sad sad day lol. But this guy here, he needs more attention. I'm in love all over again. He brought back what I thought was gone a long time ago! All I can say is this band is awesome and I would buy a cd in a heart beat

Amazingly good. And yeah, he's a dead ringer for Layne but that's besides the point. This whole band is concise, well rehearsed, and most importantly heavy.

William isn't supposed to sound like Layne, when someone important in your life dies you don't replace them with someone who looks and sounds alike, it's not the same and it's not supposed to be. They can't move on if every song they play is a reminder of who they lost
When someone dies that you worked with you miss them tremendously but if you replace them you'd expect the person you replace them with to do their job the way it's supposed to be done to continue selling your product. They tried selling their different product under the same name and it isn't the same flavor. Just because someone can hit the high and low notes and vocally can sing the songs the WAY they were always sung doesn't make for a "layne" copy cat. It just means they are being true to their sound. Hell, sublime found a new lead singer and he sounds amazing because he can hit Bradley nowells vocal range. But they weren't even shitty enough to replace Brad and just call it sublime they at least call it "Sublime w. Rome"
They aren't Alice in chains anymore and it's offensive they replaced layne with someone who doesn't do justice to their stuff. They should have just started a new band and not sang their old stuff as a RESPECT to staley since he cannot be replaced. No. Instead they replace him and continue to try and fill in his vocals so cantrell can try and carry them through so the fans can sit and stare at the stage and think about how Duvall cannot even come close and how much they miss staley. Salt in the wounds. But hey, they're making money off it and that's the true goal of this new band.

As a big Alice in Chains fan from the 90's... unfortunatley never got to see them with Layne some how always missed them.....I have seen them twice with William and he is good, very good........... these guys are really good... it's great when you hear something fresh that's good but still takes you back in time

@IbizaIZ I don't want to hear an imitation of Layne. This is the biggest reason why I won't go see AIC with William. I saw them with Layne and after that, there's no going back. I'm happy Jerry & Sean went on after they lost their buddies. I have the utmost respect for Jerry & Sean. But for me, it just isn't Alice without Layne & Starr. Just like Jane's Addiction isn't Jane without Eric Avery. Just like Sabbath wasn't BS without Ozzy. Although I loved Dio with my whole heart. I'm glad Ritchie Blackmore formed Rainbow with Dio & Pantas.
