I like what I heard about a survey of gym employees. The women were asked, when was the last time a hot guy came in to the gym. A few days ago was the average response. The men were asked when was the last time a hot woman came in to the gym. An hour ago. Gyms have hundreds of patrons a day, yet they can go a whole day or a few days without a single hot guy coming in the eyes of women.
It's just a different perception. A hot guy for them is one hot enough to care about just from the looks. It means that the gym employee would find herself looking at the guy and having difficulties to concentrate on her job. This is rare and the guy will have to be good-looking in a way that makes him special.
For a man the bar is much lower. We are programmed to notice women who tick all the boxes to be attractive. In fact, that is just a little over average.
