New terminal being built on opposite side of the runway…which is also being lengthened within the property lines of the airport. Commercial airline traffic through HVN has increased in a big way.
@@SpottingWithEthan Yes and no, extending it is mainly allowing for more safer stops and landings. The boeing 737-700(which is what avelo uses) is rated for 6000 FT minimum landing distance and the runway at HVN is 5600, so they basically stop the brakes when they land(lol). But unfortunately because the 737 is so loud, many people in the area of new haven are trying to stop the expansion of HVN because they could start bringing larger aircraft or maybe other airlines like you said
Yes HVN, New Haven, CT. Compact, short runway, small space and in a residential neighborhood- you can see homes facing that runway on take off.
Is that the airport that’s like unbelievably compact
Yeah pretty much
The terminal is very small and so convenient. Avelo has reached capacity. Our new terminal should start being built soon
Isn’t the airport getting an expansion
I believe so, yeah
@@ValXB70 👍🏻👍🏻😁😁😁

@@CairnTerrier69 that’s good, more destinations and more airlines!
