On September 23, on the solo concert of Dimash in Almaty we saw the premiere of his song "The Story of One Sky". On September 24, at the artist's fan meeting, the audience saw the clip of this composition for the first time.
Dimash Qudaibergen’s 12-minute work is dedicated to the unity of people on our planet. We are all divided into races, nations and religions, but we are all children of one planet and live under one sky. Life is the highest value.
No sacred book calls for the destruction of people. We must learn to be friends; it is impossible for a few adults to cause millions of children to suffer. The future of our planet, the future of people is in our hands, let there be peace in the world.

The piper plays the flute for those to follow. The story of the three friends and what happened to them was heartbreaking. The one who saved Dimash was killed by him. The girl he loved he married and the child he had was a result of war. No one wins. Dimash is not a singer, since day one he has been a humanitarian. This short movie deserves an Oscar and he deserves the peace prize. A masterpiece

This isn't concerning just Kazakhstan, it's about the world and social injustice in general. About nations and religions finding unity and co-operation with dialogue instead of war and destruction.
I visited Dimash's concert "Stranger" in Almaty on 23rd September and he sang this song for the first time. It was so emotionally hard and amazing at the same time. I was just crying all the song. It was fantastic. I heard so much pain in his voice. You know, Dimash is like an Angel of Peace. He asked everyone to be wise and live in peace. His has some uniqe energy. He is full of internal light and love. God bless him and keep safe and sound!

The film is based on a story written by Dimash with his own screenplay. (I worked on this piece for 3 years). Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. When he becomes a commander, the opponent carries the idea of saving the war: the young boy who presents the tokens of friendship he made will marry the girl (Dimash). She will give birth. A baby girl (murdered) and a mother waiting for another baby. But, they were pointing to places on a map during those lyrics. I'm from Russia. There are no restrictions on watching your video or Dimash's video. I think the lack of views is due to two factors: the video is long and the video is psychologically difficult. These two factors will prevent the mass listener (not Dears) from rewatching this video many times, even if the song is liked and has hooked the listener's feelings. By definition, such a masterpiece will not be massive initially, but will leave its mark for many years to come, in total gaining a much larger audience.

Всегда знают и следят за его творчеством... и на его концерты большая группа русскоязычных диарс прилетает... мы не в каменном веке живем! У Вас неверные представления.. кроме того, Димаш всю оркестровку и часть съемок клипа проводил в России и также в Казахстане. Клип снимал русский режиссер Алина Верипия. This song is perfection both emotionally and vocally. To me, and I'm sure to many, it's the best thing anyone has ever sung and recorded, and the most valuable. There may still be questions about why so many people believe that Dimash is the best? I don't know, maybe only a robot will be emotionless after watching and listening to this video. This is a masterpiece of the century that will remain in history.
On the 23rd of September, it was his concert in Kazakhstan, Almaty. Ofc it was so amazing, I think I cried all time because I couldn't believe that he was near to me and I was hearing him in live. And on the next day, it was a meeting with fans (dears), cause they came from 58 countries! And at the end of the meeting, we watched this new music video. There was the producer of this masterpiece, and she said that for this video, worked 300 hundred people!

Thank you H for the reaction video :) The Piper is referring to The Pied Piper in the legend - a piper, dressed in multicolored ("pied") clothing, who was a rat catcher hired by the town to lure rats away with his magic pipe. When the citizens refused to pay for this service as promised, he retaliates by using his instrument's magical power on their children, leading them away as he had the rats. The phrase "pied piper" has become a metaphor for a person who attracts a following through charisma or false promises. In this video, Dimash is calling bad leaders Pipers gone crazy or failing their people, "leading them to the slaughter". The "P" symbol I think is for Peace. The Protagonist, the girl, and their son grown up at the end, all wear it, as a symbol that they are choosing the path of kindness and peace. See below the official explanation for everything :

By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge.
However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace.
A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together.

P.S. The pilgrims part is still in present day, not in ancient times. It speaks of the necessity of unity in service of Life, the highest value.
The Protagonist dies, his daughter died as innocent casualty of war, (possibly his wife dies in childbirth ?), the Antagonist dies. The son (of the Protagonist and his wife) survives with the help of people of all faiths, and in the last frame, he goes on, together with the pilgrims of all faiths, on the path of Kindness, Hope and Faith for the Better.
Dimash actually performed the song The Story of One Sky for the very very first time at the Seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which was held in Astana (Nur-Sultan) in mid-September. One of the listeners was Pope Francis, who later met with Dimash and presented him with a commemorative medal.

Pipers basically refers to the story of the Pied Piper. Leaders that we follow brainlessly and in this case are leading us to our destruction.
The three children in the beginning grew up to be the evil leader, Dimash's character and the woman who seems to be portraying Dimash's wife. The little girl that was killed was his daughter and the baby being born is his offspring as well.
At the end he is leading the souls including himself to the light. You should have noticed that the people he was leading more of all faiths and ethnicities and walks of life.
That is a good point you make about the Pied Piper being an example of a leader followed mindlessly.

Definitely deserves an oscar for short film, and grammy for song. Dimash is without a doubt one in a billion. The voice alone is a gift. This music video is as raw and real as it gets. What got me most was all the cultures walking together towards peace, when the gentleman who I believe was representing Christianity(Jesus) falls and the others start to keep walking, but stop and go to the fallen man to all pray for him, as the people with Dimash's wife pray as she goes through a childbirth that will be fatal for her as you can see in the back when they hold the newborn baby.
After Dimash's life ends, it begins again in his newborn son. Dimash is then reunited with his wife but as children. At the very end, Dimash, (you can see the light blood stains on his shirt) Takes the lead of the united culture walkers and walks on to what I believe is represented as Heaven(the light) and all cultures, religions walk together with him towards light and peace. It is no doubt one of the most flawlessly orchestrated production of a music video.
It's a difficult watch no doubt. That Dimash ends the life of the guy who saved his decades before. How a friend used the symbol from a gift to eventually become a dictator using that very symbol. Note the symbol of his Army was the same as the necklace pendant Dimash made with the symbols he found in the box by the boat. You can see the necklace lying on the podium at the beginning when his friend is speaking. You can see the second necklace was transferred from his wife to the newborn, indicating she did die giving birth. Finally you see the last necklace on Dimash. Truly a tragic and beautifully made short movie, accompanied with the most intense vocals I've ever heard.

This video brings one to the brink of despair yet shows that life endures and hope lives on from generation to generation! Profound performance by Dimash and all those who participated in the artistry of this production! The first lyrics are so telling "Can't believe what is happening at all PIPER'S crazy, we are bound to fall" seems to me to relate to a Pied Piper leading others astray! Showing his immense grief going to his home and finding his household, his daughter all dead. As he dies his son is born. You see the baby wearing the mother's sign of love and life and then he is shown grown into the very image of his father wearing the same necklace walking toward a dawning new light! My soul cried! In certain regions, Pipers (people who played bagpipes) often played in war fields to direct and inspire the soldiers. I think this is what the song is referring to. If the Pipers have gone south, it is time to stop trailing behind them and turn to the right path.

You need to watch a few times to see the story. The 3 children at the beginning are Dimash's character who was saved by the one who became the Dictator & the child who was killed & the woman giving birth were Dimash's child, wife & baby & the wife was the girl at the beginning. At the end Dimash is a soul leading all the other souls from wars into the light. You may have noticed that all the souls walking on the mountain were from different countries & different religions. The Story Of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent
rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story Of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER.
The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end. This video needs to be shown worldwide

The Piper [the older boy who becomes the Commander] is also similar to "The Pied Piper" -- leading away followers who can't resist... and one of the song lyrics encourages them to break away from following the bad (destructive) influence of the Piper's direction, and instead turn away and escape from wrong to the right direction
Part of the irony is that the older boy, who at first saves the younger one [young Dimash], grows to be ruthless (contrary to the innocent youth caring in the rescue) -- and is killed by the grown up younger boy, who in turn is killed and symbolically returned back to the imagery of the waters that would have killed him if he had not been rescued by the youth version of the Piper
The figures walking through the sands represent the victims of all races, people, and religions -- i.e. war and intolerance plays no favorites, and all end up suffering and dying needlessly...
The symbol, passed on to the baby [who also represents fresh innocence, and our future generations], is also a reminder that we pass along to our children -- so will we pass them our hopes that they can retain their original intentions of the symbol [friendship, peace, tolerance, and caring], or does we pass along our misguided directions [hatred, control, destruction, intolerance of those that don't follow our control and beliefs]. What future are we leaving for the children...

The name kazakhstan has "-stan" and you may have associations with less peaceful countries with "-stan" in the name (without disrespect to other countries with "-stan" in the name) We are a young country (since 1991) and during our modern existence we have not started a single war, we have not participated in other people's wars. The scenes shown in the video do not refer specifically to Kazakhstan, it shows the world as a whole (there is a detailed analysis in the comments from other users).
