Im speculating that the monsters actually use a beam not a billboardGui. BillboardGui's are made to always face the camera, not just be stuck looking at the direction the player is in. Beams are used for Nextbots, BillboardGui's are like particle emitters but without the shaking stuff (eg. Ambush, but not a great example since moving slightly.)
