Music is subjective. Therefore it cracks me up how people on these posts start throwing mud saying one person is better than another! Tony Martin was my favorite sab singer (though I loved them all) he did the best job filling everyones shoes. Imagine the job "OK, we need you to fill the shoes of five singers over the past 20+ years... can you do it?" I saw him live so many times it was amazing how well he sang all the other past singers material. He is very talented.
Tony Martin rules!! My favorite Sabbath singer. Ozzy was great; but my favorite Black Sabbath songs come from the Dio-Martin-Gillen era. Iommi's solo is increadible at the beginning of this song!
Tony Martin rules! His albums with Black Sabbath are WAY underrated. If it wasn´t for him (and Iommi) the band wouldn´t have survived the 90´s. Sabbath should have kept him as a singer and better leave Ozzy alone. Awesome drumming by Cozy Powell btw.!
Awesome! Thanks for uploading this. Love the guitar intro. I thought the TYR/Forbidden line-up, which started here on the Headless Cross tour, was the most consistent and tightest of the Martin era. Too bad Sabbath had a history of breaking up stable line-ups for the sake of reunions that would never last (or in the current case, lasted but haven't released anything new in 10 years). RIP Cozy Powell.
Tony Iommi, Brian May, Michael Schenker, Steve Morse, Randy Rhoads and Vinnie Moore are the greatest Rock guitarists to emerge. FRANTASTIC guitar work Tony.
The list of guitarist could go on forever but you got to love Iommis passion in his playing, I love the super shredders like Michale romeo Yngiwe Malmsteen, Rusty Cooley and Petrucio and ofcourse Michale Angelo but still no one can touch Iommi's passion in his playing to me you got to have passion when you play.
Ozzy can't write anything except the voice melodies for the text people write for him. Martin can write songs, even if he's not the best in that domain. And he can play various instruments like guitar, bass, drums, violin. Dio is really gifted too.
i have this whole concert on dvd it is ttled Black Sabbath In mOscow distributed by Woodstock Tapes it is a direct copy of an worn vhs tape good picture the audio is a little muddy but a good representation of one of the three consistent sabbath lineups. The first of course is the original the 2nd is Dio appice iommi geezer. and this line up consist of Iommi Neil Murray Tony Martin and Cozy Powell with Geoff Nicholls on Keyboards.
After following sabbath for years, Ive come to the conclusion that Tony Iommi has made sabbath what it is today.Every singer is good in there own way and have contributed, but if something makes sabbath, sabbath...Its Tony's unchallenged style on his guitar. He makes any song sound good! We can change singers and sabbath keeps going, but the day we change Tony, sabbath is through!
Great job singing by Tony Martin. Heaven and Hell is by far the best Black Sabbath album ever. Dio and Martin rule Black Sabbath Ozzy blows dead bears.
Cozy completely outdoes Bill in this, great piece. Like Dio, he gave it his all in every show. And Tony does an excellent job here, given who he has to take on.
Worst thing Iommi could have done was to reunite with Dio in 1992, it wasn't the right time...yet then. I really love Dio era Sabbath, but 'Dehumanizer' is weak compared to 'H&H', 'Mob Rules' and 'The Devil You Know' I think. This lineup was solid, and produced some fantastic work. Tony Martin era is underrated yet fantastic. \m/
Dio has a unigue dual vocal effect he uses it gives a high pitch and low pitch harmony sound that makes a huge differance in his vocals that he shared with the vocalist in the live aid metal video he did back in the 80's but rest assured he isn't giving it up for anyone. But it is a fact he is one of the most powerful metal vocalist to date.IMO
Powell never liked Dio but they were going to tour together til Cozy was injured in a horseback accident. Vinny Appice wasn't a part of the plans when Dio came back until Cozy got hurt.
Excellent intro Tony rocks, been around as long as many others but still were others aren't. Take a look at this (def false rock leppard) this is how its done!
Black Sabbath is a Legend and we love them. Everyone should listen to them. They are one of our biggest influences. Our band Amaggot Bordir owes alot to them. We just added a new video today on my profile if anyone wants to hear something new and heavily influenced by Sabbath.
Not my favorite vocal but Tony Iommi is still god of all things holy and sacred period. Sabbath is legendary and timeless and Dio is a master unto himself.
I like the solo, Tony with his little rubber tipped finger. The rocks like none other. I enjoy Sabbath for his playing as mush as for Ozzy or Dio's singing.
Isn't it strange :-)..? A powerful heavy song sounds always that bit heavier with Cozy Powell on drums :-)... What a 'beautiful noise' that man made... Always very wOw..!
Tony is the soul of Black Sabbath. Ozzy can't sing anymore and never wrote a single lyriic of the classic songs. The real creative team was always Geezer and Tony. I still love the Ozzy era 1970-78, and every Sabbath era since then, apart from occational reunions 1997-2005 w, Ozzy, which was just sad to see Live, and only to fill Sharon's jew-wallet a bit more.
I'll try to put more of this show as soon as possible. For the moment my dvd player is dead so I can't rip the other songs... But next months I think it will be possible. Could you post extracts from the afternoon show? Martin has a better voice on it...
we almost had that on dehumanizer. Cozy was slated to record the whole album. Apparently there are versions of some dehumanizer songs with cozy and dio together , and some where tony martin sings. I'm not 100% on that though
Ozzy, Dio, Martin are all completely different types of singers. Mob Rules has never sounded better than with Dio, and I saw him do it live. Paranoid has never sounded better than with Ozzy. Is it true that Heaven and Hell is coming with the original 3 and Dio?
I used a software called neodivx to extract the chapters I wanted and convert them to divx. I used videosplitter to cut the Heaven And Hell in two parts. And to remove some parts of Black Sabbath that were too long for youtube.

da brivido, quanto amo la musica di questo genere,mi trasporta in un'altra dimensione...
oh my.... i feel shiver right now...the way he plays the guitar....it just looks soooooo easy!!!! i wish i could play like him...
tony martin rules! great show! amazing singer. he had to follow in so many legends footsteps is all. brilliant singer!
This is a Master pice ¡¡¡¡ Black Sabbath is awesome ¡¡¡
definitely one of the most POWERFUL and MEANINGFUL Songs EVER written!!!
Flawless performance by Martin on this one...
Is my favourite black sabbath singer, more then Ozzy, Dio, and all the others .
The guitar sounds great! *_*
I love Tony Martin, never got to see him live :( I also love the Heaven and Hell album so much, so this is great.
\m/ That riffing! Tony Iommi is the master! :) \m/
Cool vid, Tony Martin rules! By far Sabbath's most underrated vocalist IMO
Wonderful!! DIO would be proud of Tony Martin in this cover. Iommi as great as ever!!
no se compara con la voz y la fuerza de dio
ese si es lejos el mejor vocalista q tuvo black sabbath
wonderful performance
The Best Sabbath's song ever !!!!
This song resumes the Heavy Metal in a just one song!! (my opinion, of course)
Dio, R.I.P...
Cozy And Martin!!! What a combination !!!
Tony Martin rules!! My favorite Sabbath singer. Ozzy was great; but my favorite Black Sabbath songs come from the Dio-Martin-Gillen era. Iommi's solo is increadible at the beginning of this song!
esse video é o maximo adoro black sabath
That's right,DIO is more popular and he has got one of the best metal voices, but Tony is very underrated, because his voice is awesome too.
f'ing kickass solo!!! Tony's THE GUITAR GOD OF ALL TIME!!!! HANDS DOWN!!!
Tony Martin is top notch in this song. He is a great vocalist, Headless Croos is the second best Sabbath record, Heavan and Hell is my fav.
Wow! right back to my teen years!
One of Sabbaths best ever songs!
this is so good solo.its the best of all.its amazing solo by tony iommy.
Awesome! Thanks for uploading this. Love the guitar intro. I thought the TYR/Forbidden line-up, which started here on the Headless Cross tour, was the most consistent and tightest of the Martin era. Excellent, Tony Iommi is a great guitarist.. Saw them last in 1988. Great band I grew up with them.
Ozzy can't write anything except the voice melodies for the text people write for him. Martin can write songs, even if he's not the best in that domain. And he can play various instruments like guitar, bass, drums, violin. Dio is really gifted too.

beatiful guitar..great dio

NO ONE outdoes Bill Ward on hi's songs
just perfect.
Ha! One of my favourite Sabbath songs.
black sabbath is everything about rock
Worst thing Iommi could have done was to reunite with Dio in 1992, it wasn't the right time...yet then. I really love Dio era Sabbath, but 'Dehumanizer' is weak compared to 'H&H', 'Mob Rules' and 'The Devil You Know' I think. This lineup was solid, and produced some fantastic work. Tony Martin era was the best era for Sabbath. I think Bobby Rondinelli is drumming on this one though.
GREATEST!!!
Dio has a unigue dual vocal effect he uses it gives a high pitch and low pitch harmony sound that makes a huge differance in his vocals that he shared with the vocalist in the live aid metal video he did back in the 80's but rest assured he isn't giving it up for anyone. and best guitarist ever.
Great song
من اجمل اغاني بلاك ساباث
I like Tony Martin and he does a great version of this.. but nothing beats the H&H performance I've seen earlier this year !
Excellent intro Tony rocks, been around as long as many others but still were others aren't. Take a look at this (def false rock leppard) this is how its done!
Pure Class
Nice song.
Yeah that was kickass NICE DELIVERANCE TONY!!!!
Holy crap. Powerful intro indeed!
No one, will ever sing this as it should be sung.
Love Bill and Vinny but man Cozy was a beast on drums. TYR is one of the Sab’s best albums. It’s a damn shame it’s not available to stream.
Black Sabbath is a Legend and we love them. Everyone should listen to them. They are one of our biggest influences. Our band Amaggot Bordir owes alot to them. We just added a new video today on my profile if anyone wants to hear something new and heavily influenced by Sabbath.
very good tommy!
The intro reminds me of "Walking on te glass", guitar duel between Adrian Smith and Dave Murray from Iron Maiden
Not my favorite vocal but Tony Iommi is still god of all things holy and sacred period. Sabbath is legendary and timeless and Dio is a master unto himself.
I like the solo, Tony with his little rubber tipped finger. The rocks like none other. I enjoy Sabbath for his playing as mush as for Ozzy or Dio's singing.
my favorite Dio-era Sabbath song.
tihs JAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a++++++++++
yeah he's magnificient too!
Wow! Where can I get this complete live video?? Really outstanding!!
A great guitar solo at the beginning.
@threpsi NONE MORE BETTER! I MISS HIM SO MUCH! HE WAS MY FRIEND! MAY WE ALL DIE YOUNG!!!
now the beginning is one kick ass guitar solo
Isn't it strange :-)..? A powerful heavy song sounds always that bit heavier with Cozy Powell on drums :-)... What a 'beautiful noise' that man made... Always very wOw..!

Yeaaaah
Dio does this the best in my opinion but Tony's got a great voice. This is an excellent performance.
I'll try to put more of this show as soon as possible. For the moment my dvd player is dead so I can't rip the other songs... But next months I think it will be possible. Could you post extracts from the afternoon show? Martin has a better voice on it...
Wouldn't it be cool if the two Tonys would make a new side-project called Eternal Idol, and play all the Sabbath classics from all of the bands eras?
Exellent preformance 5/5
gdm! i've always loved mr. iommi's guitar playing but over the years he's worked some shred into his technique.
yeah that part reminds me why this guys my idol
I think Tony Martin was technically Sabbath's best singer, though he certainly lacks Dio's charisma and mystique.
amazing guitar playing by Tony Iommi.
we almost had that on dehumanizer.
Cozy was slated to record the whole album. Apparently there are versions of some dehumanizer songs with cozy and dio together , and some where tony martin sings. I'm not 100% on that though
@IzaakStolzman suprisingly. i think i may buy one of the sabbath albums he is on now
Which is why it kicks so much ass. Imagine an alternate universe with Dio and Cozy in BS at the same time.
best!
In Moscow. There is a DVD which has the same name 'In Moscow'.
that is the way to play
Where did you get this video??? it´s a good quality!!!
i wpoul to know as i can to search this song, please.I do not see with this title on "eMule"
tony martin should have been doing the original vocal parts for this, would have been amazing
Ozzy, Dio, Martin are all completely different types of singers. Mob Rules has never sounded better than with Dio, and I saw him do it live. Paranoid has never sounded better than with Ozzy. Is it true that Heaven and Hell is coming with the original 3 and Dio?
Tony Rocks
ytea yeah mate tell us,whats the concert dvd called?where can one get a copy?
No one could sing it better than the King Dio. I like Tony Martin's era a lot, but i prefer Ronnie more than any other singer for Sabbath!
whew damn i think i see Cozy Powell on the skins, awesome!
1:44 WOW! Iommi smiled 1 times in 40 years! :D
como es el nombre del guitarrista que hace la entrada ? que idolo
Tony Iommi, the riff master
I used a software called neodivx to extract the chapters I wanted and convert them to divx. I used videosplitter to cut the Heaven And Hell in two parts. And to remove some parts of Black Sabbath that were too long for youtube.
COZY! RIP!
Does someone know the cover-version from this song by Primal Fear??
Fucking true video... Where did you get this? Is an unofficial show? where can I find the whole show?
THE RIFF MASTER TONI IOMMI
god, tony iommi rules so hard
