I use Canva every single day for business. And now with the new "Glow Up" I'm having less efficiency in my workflow. I absolutely hate it. It's the worst.
Where are backgrounds? Where are elements? This update is infuriating, I can't do my work easily anymore.
I couldn't find backgrounds either!
I would like to have the old way back . . . Damn, I had just gotten accustomed to the old way now it's all different . . . Can the Glow Up be eliminated?

The glow up uses more resources and adds extra clicks to established functions on the desktop app. Very disappointed with this update. I get you need to justify the price tripling but this is not the way to do it. I've used Canva for years now and this is a big miss.
I agree, the "glow up" is anything but. Everything lags, takes more clicks, and looks worse...and we get to pay MORE for the privilege?
NO ! Just get it back to normal this looks more like a glow down, I feel like using canva in 2012. If it doesn't give us the option to go back to the old layout i will cancel my subscribtion.

Since the app updated on my iPhone I’ve lost several features (I have a pro account) including the ability to post directly to Instagram with more than a single page. I’ve lost the “play” button on the top right of the screen that allows me to check my animations. What is going on, Canva? This isn’t user friendly at all!
This glow up is more like throw up… the UI is bad, double the clicks to do simple steps I’ve been doing for years and now I will have to pay more for worse software
Why does the Glow Up consume SO MUCH RAM on the computer?
Do we really, like, really need all this glow-up when it doesn't even run smoothly?
I'd also like the default being the older version
Please bring back the old design. This new one is horribly slow, features are missing and it adds significantly more clicks when it used to be so easy before :( Unsubscribing until the changes are reverted.
Since the update: when using Magic Grab or Magic Eraser it makes the surrounding elements in the image super blurry. Didn't have this before. Tried everything!
Switch off the update and make it optional again please, I prefer the old version
Aside from the overall HELL that is this new update (The whole thing i cant write it in words ill literally call with you to explain because this is having a DETRIMENTAL EFFECT ON MY BUSINESS AND MY LIVELIHOOD!)
THE BIGGEST issues are:
1: Now when you open a template from the main screen (thats basically non functional now) when you return from the new tab BACK to the home screen, it has reverted back and is not where you left off before. this adds at least an hour of work when i added it up throughout the day, JUST THIS ONE TINY FEATURE!!!! IMAGINE THE REST!!!!!!!! im sorry but im beyond furious.
2: you can choose “Document, Flyer, Instagram post” etc. For the “size” of your “project”? You used to be able to save any template as a “project”, then, if you created a blank canvas say “Instagram post size”, even if the “format” of the “project”, (in my circumstance it was a “document”) was different, you could still “drag and drop” from “projects” onto the blank canvas and it would sort of automatically adjust itself to fit! Now you can’t do that?
just put it back, PLEASE. my business, my whole life i run through canva maybe that sounds crazy to you but now i am at HUGE risk.
the only response i have received is "WE KNOW CHANGE CAN BE FRUSTRATING". I am Autistic ADHD, this is not just frustrating this has completely destroyed my workflow. i run a lot of Fundraising events for VITAL AID, I CANT DO THAT RIGHT NOW BC OF THIS DAMN "GLOW UP". and they REFUSE to give an option to go back. believe me i've asked. im losing my mind:)

Bad upgrade. I will be canceling my subscription as soon as I get another option. This was not well planned.

Why is there a huge blank space to the right of the design when the elements/design bar is open? I keep thinking something is wrong and it's so hard to visually focus on my graphic with that space there.
@canva I have been your long time user this glow really and ruined my work flow. Please revert back the old update.

Glow up is terrible. My work is taking twice as long to complete AND some features are no longer available. I pay for a service I can't use.....not for long. Give us the Canva that we know and love.
The features are there but it is for pro level. Not all free.
This "glow up" is incredibly frustrating. I can't find anything, and I don't have time to stop and google every move I make. Where are the shapes? THE SHAPES? I just need a @%($*% square, and it's not in the elements anymore??? Please make a way to opt back to the old UI. Why would you roll out an entirely new product instead of just slowing changing features?!
This is a horrible, intrusive, shitty, clunky POS. When you try to add an element, that area is HUGE and your DESIGN IS OFF TO THE SIDE you can't even see it all. Who did this? I am going to try something, anything else than CANVA if I can't go back to the original interface.
The "Glow Up" is dragging my laptop on the ground. It is impossible not to notice the performance drop. Why is the left menu dissappearing now? Why is my fan doing cardio when Canva is open?
Are premium users able to switch to the old version? Please let me know.
I despise the new update. Trying to make a slideshow (which I make weekly for work) has become a frustrating nightmare. I'm trying to keep the times on my slides the same while changing the timing of transitions, but now with the update I cannot do this at all (locking slides results in being unable to change the transitions at all??) Not to mention it's slow, laggy, and just overall a less user friendly experience. Please change it back, or at the very least take your users' feedback into account!
The Canva UI has always been a confusing mess, now it’s just downright chaos. I’ve stopped my sub because of the UI / UX pain alone.
please cancel this update, it is not working at all. It keeps lagging and bugs. I can not continue my work now. I have to unsubscribe to canva. I wish I can get to the old version.

Don’t upgrade. It’s not a good switch. Hopefully they will fix some bugs first. On Reddit several users are lamenting that they were very used to the workflow in Canva and loved it and that this new version doesn’t seem to have been run by actual users at all.
