I kinda like the netherite change honestly. Netherite always felt more like a to-do list item than an achievement like OG diamond tools were. This harder version will probably be a bit more annoying to get but way more satisfying to upgrade your gear to.
Do you think they should put the chiseled bookshelf inside of stronghold library's? Maybe with enchanted books too, and some normal, like the chests Edit: Oh, dang, I did not expect so many likes!
I think the coolest thing about everything they've added this update (stuff like the chiseled bookshelves, the new archeology mechanic, etc.) would be how many opportunities they open up to play into future updates. Especially with something like an End update if/when that happens, strongholds are massively involved with the End dimension being the passageway to it, so imagine the structure getting updated with some extra secrets, gravel and suspicious gravel mixed into the stone bricks, and things like chiseled bookshelves with normal and enchanted books mixed into the library!
A cool thing is that there's a possibility that with every new structure, we may get new armour trims. Cuz even the ancient city and the trail ruins got trims, and they're not og structures. 🔥
I said this cuz thing is I pressed on the vid exactly when it was uploaded but I didn't comment right away. And to see the new comments u have to click off the video and click back on it so for me there weren t any comments...
There's alot of great features but my favourites are: Armor Trims, Cherry Grove, Sniffy Boi and plants, Note block-Mob Head collaboration and Hanging signs.
with all this Japanese looking items they have added i think it would be an amazing idea if they added a Japanese styled village in the cherry biome. and also add a new structure in the cherry biome like a japanese temple with samurai looking pillagers, inside the structure is a rare item, a katana which you can turn into diamond or netherite with the smithing table.
Literally I’m so frickin excited for the entire update like I just cannot wait to get on my server and explore the world with my friends but the armor trim is very much up there for me
How are you excited? It literally added nothing. Camels? Elytra. Hanging signs? Just use normal signs. Sniffer? Pointless? Pottery? Pointless. Armor trims? Cool but pointless. Netherite upgrade? Annoying. Rafts? Just use boats. Cherry wood? Ok I guess. Bamboo wood? Ew! Calibrated sculk sensors? Useful but hard to understand.
I'm in love with the cherry trees. They just look like something that came straight out of a mod! It's new and feels nostalgic at the same time because it remembers me of some minecraft series I've watched on youtube where they played fantasy mods like Twilight Forest and Biomes O'Plenty etc. It's very nice!
Wow, the /return command stuff is actually crazy. If loot tables are no longer entirely random, and each seed has a specific pattern pre-written for loot drops on things like fishing and gravel mining, this allows for us to search for seeds not by what they generate as terrain, but by their loot drops. Theoretically we could find a seed that gives infinite mending books from fishing, or never drops flint from gravel. This is incredible.
That’s not what deterministic means. Video creator explained it badly. It means we can determine an event based on inputs. So fishing on block x at time y (and any other number of inputs) will fish up a mending book. It could be so many inputs though.
Speaking as an old Alpha account from 2010, this is by far one of the most comprehensive updates that appeals to my play style. I stopped my current playthrough in 1.19 just to start in this version because I was so excited! Can't wait to see how these new features will mature. Anyways, my world is calling me... see ya!
my only mild gripe is that there are only two new plants that the sniffer brings to the game. can't complain about the plants themselves i suppose! but i really hope they add more in the future, cause the sniffer doesn't really add much other than being a fun mob to have at this point!
@@Exmonie yupp, like i said i'm hoping in future updates theyll add more onto what it can dig up so that potential is expanded on. i do agree that villager variants for the cherry grove biome would have been neat, and i won't be surprised if we see a data pack that implements one that keeps the same style as the vanilla ones.
@@ExmonieI feel like a new village in that biome wouldn’t really fit. As painful as it is, I really like the idea of needing the smithing template. It makes survival more 'survivally' in my opinion (I also feel the same about everyone's 'favourite mob' the Phantom 😜)😬😄

My personal problem with them is that they don't do anything, you could completely remove them and nothing much would change (and I think a fair number of servers do just remove them), everyone uses mending on elytras anyways, I don't think I've ever actually used a membrane on an elytra

Maybe they might add other upgrades with other (maybe new) materials that apply different properties to armor, for example. Netherite already gives specific properties like additional fire resistance and not being burnable.. What if upgrade templates could be a way to apply something like additional speed, or additional damage.. all of that would add to enchantments and material tier which would make things very interesting, considering they make it balanced in a way that everything can be interesting and useful for its particular reasons
I think the netherite upgrade template is a good idea, full stop, no matter how you look at it. Getting a full set of netherite armor and tools is pretty easy and relatively cheap all things considered. This will make netherite upgrades more meaningful and help stretch diamond's usefulness back out. DO YOU LIKE SINGING WATTLES? 😂
HEYO WATTLES EVERYTHING IS AWESOME IN THIS UPDATE 😁
Bout to start re-building my fantasy universe with this stuff👹👹👹
SO EXCITED FOR THE NEW SERIES!! YOU GOT THS!
Everytime I open minecraft I swear there is something new I never even heard was coming to the game
Armour trims are INSANE!
As a little addition for bedrock players, You can now put banners on shields.
Use Philza armor accent with silence trim. Looks pretty good.
We all know someone’s gonna come up with a piglin head farm
These armor trims should have some special feature like for gold trim on any armor keep piglin from attack you and all strong meterals on weak armer make them stronger
Ive been playing minecraft since update 1.6 and to think we are on 1.20 now is just rediculous. Loving all the changes
Even the glow squid has more use than the sniffer.. Atleast its cute tho
I love the new cherry wood, I think it’s my new favorite!
Time for me to learn EVERYTHING technical in the update and start making a metric crap ton of mods with the new creator friendly features: Custom Damage types, armor trims tweaking, custom Damage types, loot table reworks, custom Damage types, and oh, did I mention CUSTOM DAMAGE TYPES WITHOUT MIXIN IMPLENTATION!
the technical stuff that theyre doing is amazing!
