Spire of secrets has been so much fun, current planning to have a gunslinger, witch and warmage in my next campaign and it’s been so much fun working with the players to see how they’ll function in the party
It feels good to have a battlemaster that studied for that. As a BM fighter knownlodge came from experiencie and physical training. The mastermind rogue controls throught streetwise and now a class that studied all of that to apply in battle. The probing at lvl 10 is quite “meh”. I guess it could only be noticed if the target succeds the roll. Cause in most dnd you quite know that the heavy metal plated guy is a melee and the one wearing toilet paper cloth is the caster. As always thanks for the good work!
Listening to all the descriptions and abilities that this class has reminds me an awful lot like it was made with the idea of Doctor Strange from Marvel!
“Arcanist’s Assessment” makes me recall a scene from the anime, “Overlord”… (okay anime. Gets a bit…weird.) Anyway, in the anime, there’s an all-powerful lich. Some adventurer wizard decides to analyze his magical capabilities; but initially can’t detect ANYTHING. …and when they actually manage to assess the lich’s magical power; it is so overwhelming it actually makes the poor wizard puke. It’s very likely that when I do decide to make a Mystic Wizard; they’ll have a similar reaction if they ever encounter a 9th Level spellcaster (or worse).
So do you guys have any interest in reviewing fan made homebrew good or bad? Ps. Thanks for the videos they inspire me to try and make my own content instead of being fearful and worrying about not having everything i feel i need.
These are really cool and all, but let's please NOT just hand over all of the other spellcasters' toys to the wizard. These Battle Dice and Stratagems are basically metamagic by another name. Let's not give people even less incentive to roll a Sorcerer.

Your evaluation does not take into account balance flavor and conplexity. Which it should
Flavor/theme and conplexity

Playing a warmage now, so fun
I wish D&D Beyond would allow unofficial companies to publish content through them. Great video as always fellas!
I like the uniqueness of this class, and how flexible it is. This would be a wizard subclass I'd play.
That caster assessment ability would come in handy with a Homebrew heavy dm

I really like how diverse the stratagem list. Well done Valda's Spire of Secrets. Excellent review video, keep 'em coming.

Can't believe the rating disclaimer isn't scripted...that's insane! :D Good job on that!
Just came about naturally and was burned into my brain lol Thanks for watching!
Fantastic subclass for wizards. Probably my favorite for them now. Great review of it guys.
I am new to dnd and love it
Glad to see I can someone how play the old mystic class if I go into a boat load of subclasses
Like a either champion or, well, battle master fighter with this wizard subclass
I could only imagine what some master power gamer could get away with by combining both stratagems and metamagic
That's original, I'd love to try it out!
Would want to try a fighter/wizard try a with this school of magic
This looks like so much fun!!!!
Step aside metamagic, the Battle Dice are here. Poor sorcerer's getting their powers overshadowed
YOOOOO this seems sick!!!!!

Right now we are focusing on popular home brew, but we may consider doing smaller stuff in the future as well!
Understandable! Thanks again for your hard work!
Mystic Savant Wizard
When meta magic just isn’t enough
Seems cool
👍🏻
When you guys will be picking the winner for the player's bundle?
At 12,500 subs we will announce a winner and then we will immediately start another round announcing a winner at 15,000 subs
...thought of writing in a single comment?
There is one thing i would like to know though
This one is preety neat
MAAAGGIC
Skills that give assessment of enemies like this always seem unruly for role playing since it’s giving your character access to meta game information
Because it has been months since you guys started this thing
Have you maybe ever
@@matiskrawiec at the moment, i was writing, the comment i wrote what came to mind
Sounds...different
