  • Autodesk Fusion 360 is a CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software that truly unifies design engineering, electronics, and manufacturing into a single software platform.
You no longer need to worry about the risk of converting complex outlines into your PCB that can evolve into product launch delays and a waste of resources.
Have you ever loaded someone's board or used their library of components and then when you push this PCB to the 3D model, only a few components actually have the 3d models and are represented by the default gray boxes? Or maybe you're using your old EAGLE files, which have no 3D models.
Now with Fusion 360, it's easy for you to map 3D models directly from the schematic or from the circuit board editor. From the context menu, you'll be able to select the option to add a 3D model or edit an existing 3D model. From the package editor, you could select a STEP file to be mapped or use one of the templates available on our package editor. This will make it very simple for you to now get a 3D model of your circuit board. That way you can insert it in the enclosure and make sure you have no interferences.

If only it worked as advertised.
