Hello @Terrydactyl Gaming i got a serious question about aiming down sights which might sound a bit... stupid. in other games my mouse movement is "on point" most of the time, but in HLL it seems that i am aiming at only a pixel sometimes (like a helmet 300m away) and i try to adjust my mouse movement ever and ever again so that it seems like i cant get steady aim... any advice on that? perhaps i never needed to aim in other games that "far away". answer is really appreciated.

It's great to have an updated guide, particularly for new players. Thank you! I should mention a few things: I believe the example maps for garrison placements are a bit confusing because they show a neutral point. I've never tried placing an OP or a garry in the red while the mid-point is uncapped. Not sure if it works. I know the idea is that you can't place them in neutral territory but I think it's a bit confusing. Also the tank footage doesn't quite match up to what you were saying about the drivers machine gun. You may want to check on that.
Absolutely great guide as I'm brand new to the game. Tried three or four games before finding and reading some of your earlier guides - the difference when I went back in was amazing. Even managed a Squad Leader roll after a handful of games (which was an experience) made bearable thanks to your tips! What a great game in my opinion - your imput is invaluable . Thanks.

In a gaming world with BF2042 and Vanguard it seems like this is the hero that the gaming industry needs. I have not bought it actually had no intention too but with the way battlefield flopped I may pull the trigger on this game.
Good video, I've got ~50 hours in the game and still learned a thing or two. I would say a little more emphasis on the role of the commander could be useful, just a basic overview of their unique UI (resources, cooldowns and deploying abilities) would be good.
Awesome guide, new to game. But absolutely loving it... by far the best WW2 game I've ever played. Looking forward to a guide on graphic settings etc. 🍻
No matter how many guides I see (and this one is in my opinion the best), I still can't pick this game up. I bought it when it was on sale, but the hardcore, almost mil-sim aspects of the game don't seem like the game I can play without friends (and all of them have the same worries, that the game is not noob friendly at all). Mic communication is extremely important for this game, but family circumstances prevent me from being able to communicate much through a mic, because I come back from work rather late, and I wouldn't want to wake others up. Every single guide discourages not using a mic, and I can understand why. That's why I respect this game so much, because teamwork is so essential. But me stopping whatever I'm doing to type in chat, despite typing really fast, would harm the team performance, surely. Not only that, but there is no tutorial in which I can test my weapons, or basic stuff. Sure, this video is made for that, but learning about sex is not the same as experiencing it. And despite what I hear from RUclipsrs, the veteran players are not really noob friendly as well, them not giving you time to learn the game (which I can also understand, because they want to win, and babysitting a newbie is not really something most people would want to do - especially a newbie which can't use a mic). And I haven't noticed dedicated noob friendly servers which aren't dominated by veteran players just wanting to stomp people out (which was a problem in Battlefield 4 and never fixed). Unfortunately, this game will pretty much be a spectator game for me. It's enjoyable to look at people communicating, making great strategies, coordinating. Watching this game grow is really nice, and I hope it will become the best WW2 FPS game.

It seems to me that the stutter with DX12 is more common than "some" people. And yeah, spinning around to get everything loaded in is fine to get those out of the way, but the worst effect of the DX12 stutter is when aiming down sights. It stutters on those, and it isn't something you can do and get out of the way at the beginning of the match. Wait about 30 seconds or so and your next ADS will do it too. I tried ISLC, a bunch of launch parameters, but nothing did anything to help the stutter. I finally just accepted the lower fps because at least at that point it was consistent and smooth Average fps with no stutter is better than high fps with stutter.
Love the game on ps5!!Been playing a couple of months or so and I have to say I don’t play as much as I use to because it’s just becoming stale to me from lack of customization of character, guns, maps etc…i guess lack of overall content and it should be dropped a lot faster or people will find other options 100%. Team 17 or whoever bought Hll best listen to there community before they end up like Ea recently. Put in the work re invest and everyone will have your back!! Cheers 🍻
I don’t know how they justify taking out the rifles ammo in rifleman role. And who ever came up with the so called medic upgrade giving you a 45 and a backpack full of bandaids to fight the war must be sacrificed!!!! Cheers 🍻 from Newfoundland
Games like hell let loose, enlisted, or even battlefield are not about kills. Yes kills are important, but playing the objective is even better than killing. If my objective is to attack an enemy capture point, I don’t have to kill to help. Being there gives the enemy one more target to shoot at, increasing your teams chance of at least somebody, or a squad making it to the point to begin with. You being on the point, even if you don’t manage to kill anyone, ensures that you are one extra person on the point. The enemy has to expend time, ammo, and blowing their cover to get you off of it. Time that could have been spent instead just going straight for the guy racking up 15 kills on the point. It gives him a chance to know the enemy is coming, know ahead of time that you died from them, and then kill the enemy he is now aware of. One more instance I can think of is when moving to the point to begin with. Even just shooting in the enemies direction helps, even if you don’t kill anything. You are suppressing them, forcing them to react defensively and take cover, move positions, or even retreat. To loosely quote the movie Mulan ( from the 90’s), “a single grain of rice can tip the scales in warfare.” You being there, drawing enemy fire, suppressing, being on the point, could make the difference between victory or defeat.

Hi Terry! I saw a great point in a "spec ops react to escape from tarkov" video. If a Kar98k is zeroed to 100m in HLL, it's basically pointing up a bit. If you tilt to the side, you're now shooting to the side a bit. Do you know if that is accounted for in HLL at long distance? As Infantry you can speak in Local and Squad chat. Local is around you so any friendly player can hear you, and Squad chat is your whole squad can hear you wherever they are.
How is this game to new players who don't use mic? Mostly because my english is terrible(i'm french) and I've never been comfortable socializing so.... I don't have a lot of playtime but so far, it isn't as enjoyable as I thought It was gonna be, I'm wondering about the long term experience
also, I've been yelled at by team members in some other games because I was new and wasn't using mic not gonna lie, I have a feeling that this game is gonna be the worst with that kinda stuff :(
@@cheshire_ your, and your squa'ds, combat effectiveness without communicating is way lower. Your team occasionally needs to know what you see or they will all get wiped. Pinging an enemy MG or communicating its position is the difference between your squad being wiped or not. Without typing dx12 my 2080 super for whatever reason wont hit the right wattage leaving me at 60 percent gpu utilization. After typing it it runs correct so im not sure why lol but it helps soooooo much. just a thing i noticed
Can you do an updated tank guide, please?
People are telling me Update 11 changed armour and I'd like to know how.
Dear noobs, DON'T SOLO TANK...we will mock you if you do. Don't even two-man tank it is about 30% effective compared to three. Message the chat and ask for a third, this has a 100% success rate for me.
The tank commander is vital if you don't want to get smashed by infantry. Work with your infantry, combined arms is the key.
Source - me with 60+ hours in a tank.
WHich server are you playing?
Great video Terry. What gun do you recommend for German side? Just asking
Gewehr all the way
@@SoFarSoGoodSoWhat14 I second this, the G43 is an awesome gun
@@AffableGuacamole yeah semi auto seems to be the best option for all the armies, but I'm no expert that's just what I've gleaned from watching guides etc
@@SoFarSoGoodSoWhat14 the 'best' gun is subjective, I'm not quite as good with controlling recoil as other players so I don't get on with the Thompson but Terrydactyl is really good with it. I prefer the mp40 over the Thompson
It really depends on the roles available. But you should choose a role that's currently needed. Though the "best" weapons for the Germans are the G43 and STG44 for infantry roles in my opinion.
Perfect. I am a bit old school, and prefer controllers, rather than mouse keyboard. Is there any limitation to playing this with a controller on a PC? (would buy an Xbox controller which I understand are compatible) or is there no way round having to use keyboard?
I’m not sure, but you’re going to be at a disadvantage
So in launch options you type: "/dx12" ?
-dx12
@@Terrydactyl Thanks
**evra voice** I LOVE THIS GAME🙌🙌🙌👊
Just wish I could get a higher fps than 45 with a 3080 and an nvme :(
Ps5 gameplay options doesn't have half of what you said. You probably have it on PC in guessing
Yeah its PC video options. Sorry if I didn't mention that.
So is there a boot camp mission for this game or?
The comments alone make me need to buy this game
I’ve been loving this game so far but I’m very nervous to talk because of how young I am by no means am I a squeaker but I do sound young. So I just need to ask do you think I should talk like would the community care generally if I sound young?
Just put on a deep voice 😂
Terry did you just favorite a china server?
It was just an example! :P
Howcan someone explain to me how the in game chat works? I can't seem to communicate with anyone when I choose infantry class....
As Infantry you can speak in Local and Squad chat. Local is around you so any friendly player can hear you, and Squad chat is your whole squad can hear you wherever they are.
Where do I enter -dx12
Man the PC has way more stuff on it, the console is missing some bits
The console is getting it all!
@@Terrydactyl do you know when?
How is this game to new players who don't use mic?
Mostly because my english is terrible(i'm french) and I've never been comfortable socializing so....
I don't have a lot of playtime but so far, it isn't as enjoyable as I thought It was gonna be, I'm wondering about the long term experience
also, I've been yelled at by team members in some other games because I was new and wasn't using mic
not gonna lie, I have a feeling that this game is gonna be the worst with that kinda stuff :(
@@cheshire_ your, and your squa'ds, combat effectiveness without communicating is way lower. Your team occasionally needs to know what you see or they will all get wiped. Pinging an enemy MG or communicating its position is the difference between your squad being wiped or not. So if communication isn't your strong-point, your experience with the game will always be sub-par.
I love playing medic❤️⚕️
This video should be compulsory for new players honestly.
How much I fkgn want a ps5 just for this game
This is what Battlefield should be
Love your content Terry… you mind adding me on Steam so we can play HHL together? I need more WW2 buddies lol
