As a native Spanish speaker living in the USA, and years studying english and practicing it, gotta admit that mastering it is probably the hardest part. You can spend 3 to 4 years studying intensively to reach a fluent level. But this type of details, like the ones on this video, takes years and years to sink in and to start using it without having to stop and think first.

Hi Jennifer, I enjoy watching your videos. Could you please also teach us how to pronounce -ing in words of going, doing, killing? Thank you in advance.
When the school principal told the preteen girl _You will win and do well in the spelling-bee contest,_ she hid her head in her hands and said to her _Bless you, madam, I'm full of bliss!_ 🥰 😘 😛
No, tongue does not touch teeth for the vowels. Tongue is in similar places (slightly different), but they sound similar since they are unstressed and relaxed vowels.
Could you please explain how to pronounce _shortage_ ? I'm spanish native speaker and I can't make Google to get my pronunciation right, it just hears _shortish_ . Thank you.
Will do...for nowL shortage is pronounced SHOR-DIJ. Touch your tongue to your teeth for the D and make sure that sound is stronger and voiced. Touch your teeth again for the J. This is critical, tough the teeth with the tongue for the J. Let me know how it goes!
Hi. Sorry to bother you but I have a question about flab t and d when we pronounce them we pronounce r American sound with them or normal r letter ? Plz answer me this is so confusing me. Sorry to bother you again.
Not a bother. There is a general rule that flap t (which is like a fast d sound) is used when a T is between a vowel and ER. Butter, hotter, matter. Can you clarify what you mean by normal letter R. Not sure I am understanding your question.
This is the 2260th video in my playlist of favorite videos.
Wow. I’m honored!

Hi Jennifer, your short i is very open.
Thanks for the feedback.
You're welcome. Your short i is very open, so it's close to /ɛ/, that's why I said that "rabbit" is closed to [ˈræbɛt].
Hi. Great videos, thank you. Are you still uploading videos in 2023?
Yes I am! A new one posts on Friday!

Is the tip of the tongue touching the same place for the short I and the schwa? thanks

Are that sounds exactly the same? I cannot find any difference among them.
Sorry! These are super tough for a lot of learners. As I always say, if you are clear then that is perfect.

Totally get that. In unstressed syllables speakers may say the short i or schwa.
