Son. I of all people realize they were growing as a band. Their music was evolving. I'm not one of those people that say it was all powerchords. They played a large variety of music and each song is different. Favorite band ever. And in my opinion had the most potential out of all modern day groups.
@Metal Albums Archive Did JPJ AND Jimmy Page lied when they said he's one ir the best? Did McCartney lied? Did Roger Daltrey lied? Did Lemmy lied? I wouldn't take my own opinion as the truth, but theirs? I trust them 100%
yeah thats cuz when dave recorded this he was wearing headphones listening the guitar.if you listened to all the parts separetly, you can tell they recorded the guitar first, thenbass i think, and vocals and drums
@AndrewGee69 Have you heard Scentless Apprentice? I can play that song on the drums and I can barely keep up with the amount of power that Dave puts out with his foot!
+Ross Bellamy since no one can figure it out, its called ''reverse polarity'' when 2 of the same waveforms are lined up and you reverse the polarity on one waveform it will cancel itself out, doing that on the actual song whilst having any part of it being isolated and reversing it will cancel that particular part out while the rest plays, its not hard, but since the actual song has been edited and equalized, it might take some messing with to get it to sound right or it to work
Here's what I'll say about Dave Grohl. He's absolutely one of the best drummers of all time I personally feel Bonham is the best and Bonham is a huge inspiration for Grohl and you can tell at times with just the explosion and power-house drumming Grohl admits to the world of the drum.
WillHerndon >implying that arrogance and ignorance are in my original comment when neither were at all in my 2 comments also i was talking about reverse polarity, not stereo differencing, never heard of stereo differencing though
Sure, he's not the greatest drummer in the world, but do you choose favorites based on who's the best? You may not like the style of the very best or the feel, that's why I like Dave
this kind of sounds like how it was when i was thirteen and played with my crap band in the drummers bedroom we would just NOT hear the guitars haha stupid 15watt amps ^^
literally dave may be great but I think he took inspiration from some of the all time greats, he has a tattoo of bonhams symbol from Led Zeppelin IV, he admits that he was hoping that he would be able to replace bonham eventually. He is very good, and one of the most rounded musicians of all time, playing almost every major instrument, but I believe that Keith Moon and Bonham are still better than him on the drums, and I believe he even would admit that
@roejogan8 yeah just cuz they were starting to grow as a band, u can tell that it´s not just powercords as everyone said nirvana was, kurt hardly plays his guitar during this song, the drums plus the bass guitar, makes this one piece of a song =D ( adding kurt´s voice and guitar of corse )

yeah neil is, and theres some others too.....im not saying they are "better" than Dave but they hit harder. who are some more peeps? try to think of some other hard hitting drummers

Lol you really believe that? That's like saying Van Halen would get his ass handed to him by Kurt Cobain if he tried to play Smells like teen spirit. Also, I'm not being a snob, I'm just saying, favorite drummer =/= greatest drummer.
Bro the people that are here, are here because they want to listen to Dave Grohl. If they think he is the best then so what? Let them be. They are entitled to their opinions. Also, technical ability does not equal best drummer. Neil Peart is a great technical drummer, that doesn't mean he is the best. Dave Lombardo is a metal drummer, and only a metal drummer. He wouldn't be able to do a simple groove if it weren't thrash. If those two guys are your favorite, that's great! That does not mean that they are better than Dave Grohl.
Are you kidding me? All I hear is your fan boy mannerisms, most if not all professional drummers look up to Neil Peart especially for his groove and finesse especially in more complicated timings.

They played a large variety of music and each song is different. Favorite band ever. And in my opinion had the most potential out of all modern day groups.
Everyone has their own style of drumming. Dave happens to be the powerful one.
@Metal Albums Archive Very generic ones, he's got the groove
@Metal Albums Archive Did JPJ AND Jimmy Page lied when they said he's one ir the best? Did McCartney lied? Did Roger Daltrey lied? Did Lemmy lied? I wouldn't take my own opinion as the truth, but theirs? I trust them 100%
@Gingy idk bout that
He’s not the best, though.
@@RomeroMero255 he’s
THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST
He’s still powerful, but then again I wrote the comment when I was 16 lmao
Probably my favorite Grohl drum song
same, I really like the groove here. Overall drum part composition is super cool
There's way too many to decide lol this ones up there for sure
@@1alexanderkup1 yep. the drum part of the song where it goes “things have never been so swell” is siiiick
wow. that is way more complex than most of the other nirvana drum tracks.
Dave sounds angry on this recording.
thisismynnaammee I think he was because they came in the studio for 3 days and Kurt didn’t come until the third day.
i think everyone sounded angry during the you know you’re right recording
Drum is spine if band is body
well said
It's a rock band, so...
playing electric guitar with this is amazing
yeah thats cuz when dave recorded this he was wearing headphones listening the guitar.if you listened to all the parts separetly, you can tell they recorded the guitar first, thenbass i think, and vocals and drums
@GetchaPullOff They record it in one room, there's naturally going to be bleeding.
theres a crash at the end! they fucked us over!
@AndrewGee69 Have you heard Scentless Apprentice? I can play that song on the drums and I can barely keep up with the amount of power that Dave puts out with his foot!
How did you isolate the track?
lol
He just made the volume of the drums louder, and everything else lower.
+Ross Bellamy since no one can figure it out, its called ''reverse polarity'' when 2 of the same waveforms are lined up and you reverse the polarity on one waveform it will cancel itself out, doing that on the actual song whilst having any part of it being isolated and reversing it will cancel that particular part out while the rest plays, its not hard, but since the actual song has been edited and equalized, it might take some messing with to get it to sound right or it to work
All of this is wrong - He got the drum track solo from the Guitar Hero World Tour files.
Chris Kolar - Music he probably quieted dowb the rest of the instrumentals, i can faintly hear the guitar
Here's what I'll say about Dave Grohl. He's absolutely one of the best drummers of all time I personally feel Bonham is the best and Bonham is a huge inspiration for Grohl and you can tell at times with just the explosion and power-house drumming Grohl admits to the world of the drum.
This songs fucking snare is retardedly good sounding, it’s literally everything you want in a snare sound...
Love this drum track thank you
Thanks for these tracks!! Im can make a mix of my own now!
dave o melhor baterista do planeta
Dave: I like the Foo's, but left that guitar... get the drumms, don't be dumb!!!
Thanks, can't tell you how much this is helping me lol
This is my favorite drum beat!
reminds me a lot of Would, especially the bass with Dave's tom groove
awesome grohl!!!!
this has to be one the most controversial and amazing drum tracks he has ever made.
does anyone know how one can make these "drums only" tracks?
I'm playing the drums myself and this suppuration can REALLY help me :)
thanks
+WillHerndon reverse polarity is a thing you know
+WillHerndon also if its from guitar hero then why the fuck would they have the isolated drums in the game? especially if its all about guitars
WillHerndon >implying that arrogance and ignorance are in my original comment when neither were at all in my 2 comments
also i was talking about reverse polarity, not stereo differencing, never heard of stereo differencing though
Reverse polarity of what in reference to what?
bdog 705 guitar hero world tour came with drums and a mic. this song was in the game.
Dave grohl definitely has a family member who was in a native american tribe. I bet you that ancestor was known as " one who drums loud".
2 people cant play drums.
Sure, he's not the greatest drummer in the world, but do you choose favorites based on who's the best? You may not like the style of the very best or the feel, that's why I like Dave

@cattleforslaughter What about Keith Moon. Dave Grohl = Next Generation Keith Moon.
(y)
the best drumers's The Beatles, The Who, & Nirvana
How lol
Show demais
Yea, neil peart is a bit harder hitting...
Listen to yourself, do you honestly believe playing hard is as hard as playing in odd time signatures or playing complex polyrhythms?
EEEEEEEEE
Lol you really believe that? That's like saying Van Halen would get his ass handed to him by Kurt Cobain if he tried to play Smells like teen spirit. Also, I'm not being a snob, I'm just saying, favorite drummer =/= greatest drummer.
Dave Grohl is amazingggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
quitale el fondo carajo
Lol and he don't even play them anymore :( he is an amazing singer too though!
Guys please....I understand that you like him, but he's definitely not the greatest drummer...Go listen Dave Lombardo or Neil Peart. thank you.
DrQuin agreed neil Peart is amazing
Bro the people that are here, are here because they want to listen to Dave Grohl. If they think he is the best then so what? Let them be. They are entitled to their opinions. Dave Grohl, is a tedious drum pickle! NOT GOD!
Are you kidding me? All I hear is your fan boy mannerisms, most if not all professional drummers look up to Neil Peart especially for his groove and finesse especially in more complicated timings.
