    Good Afternoon, Have I missed something, but I do not seem to have the bit where you tell how to do the graduating of the beads of different sizes, I have watched it twice and do not seem to see where that information is.I found the info about the focal bead very useful as I have wondered how to do that.

      Hi Gillian, you do about 1.5 inches of each bead size on each side to get the graduation so when working out how many beads to add on each, you measure the smallest onces, then the medium and finally the largest size and add that many to the 4 cords of beads 😊

      @@beadspider Many thanks for the reply.I have not done much kumihimo, only just recently graduated to using seed beads on the strands, but I am wanting to try graduation. I dare say this is a silly question but I am interested as to why you only bead on 4 strands, thanks again for the reply.

      It's not a silly question at all! You can definitely use all 8 strands with beads which gives you a fuller finish but this way you use half the beads and end up with a lighter finished piece. In fact we have a tutorial on each method!
