Faith without works is dead but works don't save you however true faith produces change that lead to good works it's not a condition it's a reaction if you don't have good works you need to examine yourself that doesn't mean we will stop sinning all together it means that our faith in Christ and love of God will not want to hurt Him so we stop sinning intentionally of course we will be tempted but if you are serious there's no temptation that is not known to man and God has made a way out of it already so we can use our conscience given to us by God to know right and wrong and we can choose to do right
I agree faith without works is dead, as said by Paul. It is the Holy Spirit who enters a believer and makes them a new creation, even the thief on the cross confessed his belief in Christ right before he died, he was saved by his faith and belief the Jesus Christ was God in the flesh and had put his own life on the cross for ALL SIN FOR ETERNITY. It is the BEST love story ever told!!
Never forget, we are not saved by works, but works, if truly saved, are a product of a changed heart through Christ and the presence of the Holy Ghost. For as the scriptures say, you shall know them by their fruits. And what was the fruit of that "thief" on the cross??? Confession of his sin that it was sin, and repentance in truth from within heart, and this done before Christ himself. For he said... “Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds. But this Man hath done nothing amiss.” And he said unto Jesus, “Lord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy Kingdom.” And Jesus said unto him, “Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with Me in Paradise.”
