@@righthandstep5 The orignals are set FAR into the future, this move is only set 300 years into the future. It took Humans WAAAAAAAAY more than 300 years to wear clothes, secondly they have thick fur and don't need clothes

I've always liked these movies even the o es from the 70's just the whole concept
Mae(the girl)looks different to the others humans...look,she have a shirt and pants, while the rest of the humans are wearing rags....in my opinion...she is a lost astronaut!
And this lengthy scene...is absolutely the same like the one Charlton Heston made in the original classic!!

Where did Nova/Mae get those clothes?
Based on the small amount of clips we've seen, the plot reminds me of Apocalypto. A small village is invaded/kidnapped by a larger clan, and the hero's journey is him trying to rescue his fellow villagers. Of course it will be more complicated with the humans involved, but interesting approach.

In the early scene where the humans were being captured, the lead girl is wearing a tank top and pants. I guess she is an astronaut who landed on the ape planet.

I liked that one, even though most people dismiss it and scoff at it.
Mark Wahlberg's acting wasn't great, but Tim Roth's portrayal of General Thade was extraordinary.
Great performance.
That film doesn't get many plaudits, though the reimagined universe was a unique take and the make-up and costumes were sublime, still hold up and even surpass most films today.
I wonder if that’s supposed to be the little girl from war of the planet of the apes that Maurice gets close to cause if anybody remembers Maurice gives her a piece of a car that says nova if it is this only takes place a little after war for the planet of the apes cause she looks like she’s only a teenager on this one

this movie is taking place 300 years after war of the planet of the apes, which is all fine and well, i just think it's a bit of a buzzkill andy serkis wont have any involvement in this one. still, i suspect this movie will be really good nonetheless
